Alright, hey everyone. Thanks for joining us for another Sunday space. It's good to see you all.
It's a beautiful sunny day here in Los Angeles. The sunlight's entering my office.
We're ready in the yesterday but it looks great today. I'm glad to be alive. We've got so much
exciting stuff happening and I'm excited to chat about it with all of you. Tesla seems to be adding
some Robo Taxis today. They're just within a hair, 15 registered cars of having more registered
autonomous vehicles than Waymo in Texas. So this could happen anytime. It could happen even
during the space for all we know. They have added a few cars today. So that I think would be a big
milestone considering where we started where Tesla had a fraction of the Robo Taxis that Waymo had
in Texas at the beginning of the year. Well, actually at the beginning of the year they had zero
because they only went unsupervised on January 22nd or something like that. So this would be a
significant milestone for sure. But Waymo's biggest territories are really San Francisco,
Los Angeles, and Phoenix, Arizona. So Tesla is not in, well, they're not unsupervised in any of
those areas. They have the supervised ride share service in the Bay Area. So they are surpassing
in Texas potentially in terms of registered vehicles. But most of Waymo's traffic is actually in
those other three cities. So I think Waymo's over 4,000 cars now. They want to scale to
20,000 by the end of next year they've said, which is 5X in a year. That's pretty significant.
And Tesla I think is probably somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 when you add in their cars in Florida.
So Waymo's still much bigger nationally, but yeah, even just surpassing them on registered
vehicles in Texas I think is something that a lot of people didn't see as likely when we were at
the initial phases of this ramp. And they were adding, you know, 1, 2, 3 unsupervised cars.
And people just felt like it was never going to scale. It was going so slowly.
But now it seems to be picking up some speed thanks to CyberCab and
these early builds of FSD 15 that they've been shipping. All right now time for our weekly segment of
where in the world is David Moss this week. Everybody take out a pen and paper right down
your guess for where you think he is. David, where are you?
Hello from Mesa, Arizona. I'm at the Magna Tesla facility trying to count as many silver O highs as I
can. But there's a lot of them. Hundreds. Okay, that wasn't my guess, but congratulations to everyone
who got it right. So how are you doing David? What's going on with you? I'm doing great.
I'm keeping things a little key at the moment, but got a huge month ahead.
Gonna be in San Diego tomorrow and then going to SEMA a couple days this week. Get to ride in a
wave AI in the Bay Area at the end of the week and then going on another big trip. So for a couple
of weeks, so things are pretty exciting in my world. But it can be better. But how is your time with Lincoln?
Oh, it was good. You know, we just hung out. Nothing crazy. He's just going to this wedding, but
yeah, you're taking a wave AI ride in the Bay Area. That sounds exciting. Yeah,
it should be in downtown San Francisco as well. Is there some event going on or you're just doing it
with them privately? Yeah, privately. Wow, that's sick. I've been wanting to try them out, but I haven't
gotten a chance since there, mostly UK-based. So I'm excited to hear how that is.
Hopefully, it'll redeem. I tried like 20 times on Uber and London and struck out every time.
I saw a bunch of the wave cars driving around Apollo, Polico, Baidu cars as well. I'm in Waymo cars
on London, but I couldn't get any rides. So hopefully this will be a great experience. But I've
only heard good things so far, surprisingly, especially on the smoothness. So look forward to
telling you guys about it next Sunday. Having some weird issue with this space where I can't
meet myself. Has anyone seen this before? I have not. I rebooted the app. I switched to a different
phone. I still can't meet myself. I knew the iPhone. Oops. I can meet everyone else, but I can't
meet myself. I don't know what I'm going to do about this. Maybe Trev has the fix. Trev, have
you seen this bug before? There's so many of lost count. I'm sorry to say. Come on, guys.
We got to get Brockbot on this shit. Well, I'd throw you a dollar company. Well, probably we'll be
soon. I don't get it. I mean, I get it's low priority, but I mean, come on. Get one engineer on
this and you can probably fix it in like a weekend or something. I don't even think they need an
engineer. Just like get clawed code and just like tell it to just go read x, find what people
are complaining about and then fix the bugs. Literally, like, it could be a two sentence prompt.
Slash goal, you know. Let me see if they have an app update out to fix this. If not, I feel like
maybe I might have to try closing and reopening the space. How are you doing, Trev?
Doing good. I'm back home. My fiance just took our engagement photos. So that was fun. But yeah,
just heading back. Enjoying it as D. Glad I don't have to drive back, especially in the dark.
All right, guys, I'm sorry about this, but I think I have to try shutting down the space
and reopening another one. So just rejoin the new space in a second.
