more time to hang out with my community from Blackline brief and to be able to get to know each other more. And it's just evolved into this. And I have been thrilled for everybody. I think it's just fucking awesome that a lot of people have found each other. And, you know, so also I was on the debate team in high school. My papa, the colonel always lot teased me that I should have been a lawyer. And I'm, baby, I should have been. You know, I do appreciate good discourse, good debate and good faith. I am somebody who does consider a lot of perspectives before I make decisions usually. I see things, I can see things from a lot of different people's sides and perspectives and respect that. You know, and so I welcome that. But if you come in bad faith and you continually are disrespectful or you have like an intent to come in and be disruptive or you come in and keep repeating shit over and over and over again. And it makes no, like we have a right, like I have a right, okay. And we have a right as a community because this is really a community for all of us. I host it, yes. But, you know, I host it from like the hospitality perspective. Like I want you all to come in. I want you to have a good time. I want to speak to you all as much as I can. But I want you all to be able to speak to each other, you know, like shoot the shit. Like we'll talk about really important things. We'll talk about not as important things. We'll talk about personal things. We'll talk about Charlie Kirk. We'll talk about Jesus. We'll talk about the Nephilim. We'll talk about Orthodoxy. We'll talk about Todd Boyer's a piece of shit. We'll talk about, I mean, you name it. You know, we'll talk about why we don't trust people. Right now, why we don't trust creators or why I don't. Why you all do or don't. Like what is so wrong with that? And I thought it was really fair for me to ask you all and have you all tell me what you all want and don't want in the community, especially that day. You know, like what is wrong with that? And so there's something that I'm going to read. It's not a disclaimer. I see my homie Barrett is here with Berkhan and I will ask them to read a disclaimer. Who would you? Charlie. What's that? How are you doing, Barrett? How's Berkhan? Amazing as always, using in her kitchen bed. Love it. Love it. Give her a pat on the head for us. We love you, Berkhan. So yeah, I want to read something to y'all. Let me pull it up for quick. My bad. I should have had it ready already. Okay. I've seen on next slide. Is my sound okay, y'all? Do I sound all right? Coming through loud and clear for me. Pret on. All right. Okay. So this has been something I've been seeing on the threads. A lot of, you know, oh no, we were, you know, mocking, you know, the shunning of people. I call, you know, I call blocking shunning and I try to remember like Dwight from the office. Shun, unshun, reshun. So, and I'm known to unshun people after I've shunned them. Sometimes I think people just need a time out and like they just need a minute, you know? And like when everything comes down like all unshunned them. Like sometimes like you catch me in a certain way and I'm just fucking irritated and I see you talking shit. I might just shun you because I'm like irritated by it. Because I just, I get irritated by people being petty and stupid. But anyway, regardless, there's a lot of people complaining about the shunning and saying that it's anti-free speech and that, you know, it's not inclusive and it's unfair and a lot of people in crime. I like the guilt one. What would Charlie do? Oh yes, that was my favorite. Thank you, the guilt one. That, that, that one goes out too. Was that Slim Shady? Oh, I don't remember. Yeah, I think that was Slim Shady. It was one of them. I can't remember if I've unshunned him, dude, or slimed. Dude, slim and I go way back, dude. And it really was a bummer to learn that he's a, you know, a sump. I was like, damn, dude. Wow, the audacity. I'm like, I'm just sick of you. Have you not been paying attention? You know, as he not been paying attention to what the fuck? Like that was just like, and like that's the kind of shit. So yeah, I shunned him. I was like, you know what, dude? Like really? Okay, fine then. You don't get to come over no more. I don't want you to come over. If you're gonna be like that, like the hills were wrong with you. So anyway, in light of all of these complaints and whatnot, I decided that I wanted to ask Grock the best way in which to convey my thoughts on the matter. So I asked Grock this the following question. I said Grock, how do I explain to the public that freedom of speech does not equal entitlement to speak freely in my community, and that shunning, AKA blocking, doesn't make me anti-free speech. It makes me pro as fuck American to have no trespassing boundaries in effect. And this is what Grock said in response. Brunemove speech protects you from the government. It does not grant anyone a right to your audience, your community, or your attention. The first amendment says, the government cannot abridged speech. It does not say private people, groups, platforms, or communities must host, amplify, or tolerate every viewpoint. Blocking, banning, or shunning is an exercise of association and property rights. The same rights that let you put up no trespassing sign on your land or decide who comes to dinner at your house. Accord distinction, the one that usually clarifies it. Government censorship versus private boundaries. For government censorship, the state punishes or silences speech. That violates free speech. Private boundaries, you or your community decide who gets to speak to you or inside your space. That is free association and free speech working as intended. When someone says, quote, blocking me as anti-free speech, and quote, they are usually claiming a right to your platform or your community. That right does not exist. Simple ways to explain it publicly. One, the first amendment stops the government from silencing you. It does not require me or my community to listen to you or give you a microphone. Blocking is a digital version of a no trespassing sign that's not anti-speech, it's pro boundaries. Two, free speech means the state can't lock you up for your views. It does not mean I have to host your views in my space, reply to you, or let you disrupt the people who decide to be here. Association includes the right not to associate. Three, you're free to say whatever you want on your own property, your own accounts, and in public spaces. You're not entitled to say it online. Shunning is older than the Constitution. Communities have always decided who belongs. Analogies that land well. One, your house. Guests don't get to stand in your living room and lecture you because quote, free speech. You can ask them to leave. Two, private club or discord server groups, x-paces. Member, it will not x-paces actually. I added that and now I know why they excluded it. Members agree to rules, violating them gets you removed. That's not the government censoring you. Actually, yes, x-paces, my x-paces. We're not censoring you because we don't want you to be here. And if you don't agree to be respectful and come a good faith, it's not the government censoring you. You violated the rules and you're voted off the island. Three, bookstore newspaper. They don't have to stock or print every book or letter to the editor. Shusing what the platform is itself an act of speech and association. Why pro boundaries equals pro-American? The American system protects both speech and the rights of private actors to refuse association. You can criticize ideas in public while still controlling your own spaces. Treating every private moderation decision as quote, censorship flattens the difference between state power and individual community choice. The difference, the first amendment was written to protect in the first place. You can be maximally pro-free speech and against government censorship for open public debate and still enforce clear rules and the communities you help run or belong to. Those are not in conflict with anybody care to comment. With liberty and justice for all, that's my comment. That's the one I was looking for. Yes, with liberty and justice for all. OK, there are a lot of ignorant people out there. Y'all's ignorance is showing. So what I've done in good faith though, in good faith. I've unshunded as many people as possible. All right, I'm like, let's just start then. Let's just start a fucking ground zero, dude. Fucking base camp. Just fucking start over. If I have an unshunded you, I'm sure I'll hear about it in the DMs from somebody or somebody else who hear about it. But I've tried to unshund as many as possible. OK, we'll just see how it fucking goes. There been. Go ahead. Can we talk about the research deal? What do you mean? Like, people seem to think that it's a good idea to come in here and use your space to talk about research for four hours. What's wrong with that? It bugs everything down. And this is not one of those spaces that's really meant for that. So it's like it's like a distraction. It's not with good intentions. I don't feel. I thought it was the best part of the space last night. Are you saying I'm like getting too granular, though, for too long, like focusing on the frickin' cellular makeup of Tyler Robinson's but she cares? Or the strap that I can agree with. That strap business was bullshit. You know, I mean, I understand like I do. And I'm having a hard time. I'm having a harder time tolerating. I'm having a hard time tolerating things that are like, obviously not true or long time ago debunked. Or I mean, so it's hard. I do think that there's a benefit to reviewing things. Blake Beddenars of all friends of the show mentioned yesterday something about taking a day at a time. I don't know if we could actually be a day at a time. But maybe even a few days at a time starting at like, you know, September 10th last year and just reviewing what happened. Like maybe it's a week at a time. Like you do a space and you cover like a week. Like from the day that Charlie or like, you know, maybe cover one day, September 10th. And then the rest is like the following week after like, what happened, like we were a review, like what went down, who was saying what, you know, just to remind us because I do believe that we have forgotten some things. And, but I also think that it does get tiring to hear the same things rehashed over and over and over again a four hours at a time. Now sometimes y'all, like my spaces do tend to run long. I am not always here. Okay, I'm just not. Especially if you don't see me doing like the cheesy mojine or like chiming in. That means I'm probably not here. If there's conflict going on and you do not hear me, chime in or stop it or address it or what not, that means I'm not here. Okay, or on a rare occasion, it means I'm allowing it. Okay, rarely. Yesterday was an exception. Okay, there's been a lot of suspicion, you know, it was called suspicious minds. There's been a lot of, you know, understandably a lot of suspicion. I do want to say that's why I allowed yesterday to play out for a while. I am not someone, I don't want to say this. I don't know quite how to say this. I'm not paranoid about who's coming in here and who's clipping or who's saying what I don't care about what's being said. And like the things that I don't know that are being said about me, I don't give a fuck, right? Like whatever anybody say, I really don't care. When it comes across my path or somebody sends it to me, that's when I chime in. And it doesn't even really mean that I care. It just means that I've got a moment and I'm gonna maybe talk some shit back or I'm gonna say something. It doesn't mean that like it's gonna be on my mind now for hours or that I'm gonna obsess over it or knock it over it. You know, it's just, it came across my path and I addressed it. Hold on, just...
