remarkable results. I'm really happy about everything and I just want to thank everyone in this space.
Those that close and co-host and participate. Thank you so much for spreading truth and hopefulness
in this dark time that we're all facing. So my heart goes out to every one of you. Just let
let you know that if you didn't know already. So some news from my local polling place.
Yes. When I went to go vote. Yes. Morning. Normally outside the building you have those,
you have someone from the GOP and the Democratic Party going, I hope so and so can count on your vote
before you walk in. Today there was only the Democrats. I didn't, there was only one person
and they were with the Democratic Party. Not a single person from the Republican Party was there to,
though, I hope so and so can count on your vote, which is abnormal because my area is kind of red.
Chaos. I saw a clip this morning of somebody calling in to see Span because you know how when you
watch see Span, people can call in on the Republican line, the independent line and the Democrat line.
Yes. I just saw that. Even the Republicans are saying they're voting Democrat and
so they don't have to melt down saying this is rigged. You're biased. I'll put the clip in the pill.
My husband's friend was telling me that you know going off on the whole, oh well the
the Democrats of the racist party they founded the KKK and I'm like, all right,
Rose living in the past. I'm gonna leave the room now. Yeah, everything he was saying, I'm like,
yeah, that might have been, that might have been true decades ago but the KKK has been
supporting the Republican Party and they're the ones flying the Confederate surrender flag.
I pay attention to current events. Well, I mean yeah, let's let's look at proud boys and all
those other ones. The role of factions on the right, you don't have paramilitary ones on the left
hitting the news and doing you know attacking cops and beating them with flags and all the other
shit that they pulled off on January the 6th. So, Trump also, he's in freeze them all.
He also went off on the whole communism socialism thing and I'm like Trump has done more to advance
communism and socialism in his country than the Democrats have. Oh 100%. I mean they're buying
stakes into companies which are you know, that is what communism is. It takes over. Yeah, so I mean,
here's the thing and maybe other people have noticed that in the last couple of weeks, especially in
the last few days, how incredibly desperate Trump and the Republicans are because they've got
nothing to sell the people. They're just, they lie and they twist things around and it's just the
most outrageous things in the world. Late yesterday, Trump's going on about their trade deal in Canada's
close and they're going to be, they're going to be building the exon pipeline and they're going to
be paying for it. None of that's true. So, when they ask, Karne, Prime Minister, he said, well,
you know, you got to take everything Trump says with a grain of sand, a grain of salt because he's
a really diplomatic thing. So he's just desperate and then them coming out, it's like all children
are going to be trans and you know, they're going to do, it's just pure desperation because they,
they're failing and I think that and it's unfortunate, but there are people and I'll just throw
this one out there. There are people that that are fine when harm comes to other people, but when
affects them directly, now they take notice. When they can't fill up their truck anymore, when groceries
get too expensive, when they're losing their jobs and their farms, now they take notice. But they
had no problem them dragging, dragging away a brown person from their neighborhood illegally.
That's my biggest issue. So as long as they go up and show and vote, I'm not going to pass any
judgments, but sometimes it takes rocking their own livelihood for them to wake up and I think
that's happened to a lot of former Megas, but here's how I'm going to throw this one out. After this,
what's going to become of the Republican Party because the mega thing is going to be dead.
You can't beat this horse anymore, it's done. So what, what does everybody think about that? I'd
like to hear what do you guys think? I think the Republican Party needs to refine itself.
They need to do some serious soul searching and some serious inward looking to figure out where the
fuck they went wrong and get rid of the mega. Do you think they went wrong? That's the question
for me is, was this something that happened to the Republican Party? Or was this the trajectory
of the Republican Party starting back with Nixon and Reagan? And this is just what we see now.
That's a good question. Very good question. For me, sorry, go ahead, Giles. Please.
No, it's Sharon. I'm sorry. I'm sure. Sorry. So it knows okay, I can't see who's speaking either. I
just get it when I realize who you are. So I don't know what's going on with that. But to me,
I look at the rhetoric that began in the late 70s, early 80s from the Republican Party just
looking at my own community with the welfare queen and all that information. And I recognize
the one thing we can't dismiss is that even if you think that Reagan didn't know he was wrong,
and this woman was not black. She was actually white. He had the access and the capability to get
that information and he chose not to. And he chose to put out a stereotype that stayed with my
community for many, many, from decades still to this day. And there was a purpose behind that.
And so for me, looking at Trump now lying about Canada is not really far-fetched because
Reagan was able to do it with a very straight face and more credibility than Trump has.
And it literally remained for decades. So I don't necessarily see it as the Republican Party.
I know a lot of people like to dismiss what I have to say and state that it is bias. But
they can never really point out the bias to me. And I'm just looking at that and recognizing
this ability to look and turn towards the American public and the world and lie with a very
straight face and create a disinformation or chaos narrative. It's something that the Republican
Party has done for a very long time. And we've sort of ignored or not as accountable.
So I don't know if it's by accident what is occurring. I just don't see it that way.
Thank you for letting me speak. Those are really good points. I appreciate that. Thank you.
There's definitely been an agenda. Okay. And I have long, long been told by my elders because my
grandfather used to talk about the influence of Russia and how Russia is going to undermine us.
They're not going to have to bomb us. He used to talk about this. He was not afraid of them coming
and invading. He was concerned that they were going to undermine. They were going to control our
finances. They were going to wreck our economy. And they were going to have spies that were just
going to continue to be in office. And so, and as I've gotten older and of course trying to survive
in an economy like this, trying to create, even create a retirement close to what he created.
My grandfather had a wonderful retirement. I see that this has been going on for a long time.
And then with Project 2025, they've only put in a fraction of the plans that they have in that
project. And it's wreaking all this havoc. Today is really important. You know,
a million people coming and voting early makes a significant dent in the psyche of the American
citizen. I for the first time, in a long time woke up this morning, this morning really feeling
hopeful. And I had hope in 2024. I sat next to Alex. We worked hard. You know, but I didn't see
the connection, the camaraderie, the influencers, the people stepping in, the message solidifying
and getting out there as profoundly as I've seen it happen in this go round. And hearing that there's
people at the poll, I'm not sure. I think it was chaos that was talking about it, or maybe it was
Victoria, that there was a person at the poll, you know, saying welcome, are you prepared to vote for,
you know, the Democrat? That's powerful. That shows a level of organization that that wasn't there
last time for the blue people. And for the first time in a long time, I'm feeling like we really
do have a chance to change history and to stop this nonsense that's been going on for decades.
It's been insimpant and it's been evil and it's time to get rid of the fascism.
I think so. That's my take on it, people. Come on up, people and speak.
I think you're right, Karen. I think it was Pat who pointed out why I think it was you when it started
to impact everyone, like everyone, the Republicans and everyone else, no matter what what your political
stance is economically, we're all feeling the impact. And we're feeling it on our day to day
groceries, gas, the whole nine yards. We had to drive for the funeral and it wasn't that far, but it was a
trek. And the amount of money we spent on gas, B&B, hotel, it was a lot and it was expensive.
And just food and everything else, it was, we were not, none of us were feeling this in 2024.
None of us was experiencing this kind of economic insecurity in 2024.
We felt it in 2020 and our memories seemed, you know, like, I don't know, maybe we really do have
poor memories because for four years, we rebuilt our economic stability and we completely lost it
after the 2024 election. And I think right now in 2026, people are recognizing that if it gets worse,
people will die, some will starve, people will lose their jobs, people will lose their livelihoods,
and it's not about retirement. No one's going to be thinking about retirement. They're going to be
thinking, can I survive this year? Can I pay my heating? There will be no heat. There will be no
government, no federal government, no state government that they can turn to as a safety net.
And I think people are recognizing that now.
Yeah, you're 100% accurate. I mean, everything you said is absolutely spot on. So I appreciate that.
You're amazing. And I'm really glad I made you today. You're very inspiring.
Thank you so much. I think I saw victories hand up. Thank you so much Pat. Thank you.
Also, I also see Dirk's hand up. So I'm not sure which order they're in.
Dirk was before me. Okay.
I dirk. Hello everybody. Hello.
Someone knows, but I'm from Germany, so I have no real insight. Your
American politics from my point of view.
The problem with these drums and oligarchs and autocrates and so on is not so much about
a party. It's about a small gang who uses instruments of culture war, splitting the community,
bringing issues, which are not very important for all what you said some minutes ago,
which are really important. They entertain the lecturer with
issues which are not important, but which get the engagement. And they do it very successfully
from my point of view in 2024. And then you got a leader and turned at administration,
which from my German point of view mainly did their personal private business. A lot of deals
which are comfortable for them. And to change the system so that the normal
peaceful change of power and the mechanisms of democracy.
