I maybe have been asking chat GPT for strategies
and learning the game a little bit more.
And I gotta tell you, dude, I think I got myself
the hang of things and I'm gonna be taking away
the trophy for the next, the first tournament
that's coming up, so just putting it out there.
Bro, let me know if this is too evil.
We're building in public right now.
Let me know if it's too devious.
Like for this welcome package should a quest be like,
yo, new ape, go to mud water, beat the Oracle one time,
post proof, boom, there's one quest.
Like, is that too crazy to do?
Is the Oracle too good for these new apes?
I would say it's pretty easily done on,
cause there's three different difficulties
for the Oracle right now.
There's easy, like medium and hard.
And easy, I think that's fair.
Especially with, it doesn't take too long
to kind of learn the first basic mechanics of mud water.
It starts to get a little bit difficult when,
there's like a different, I forget what you have to say
in the game, but it's like basically,
it's when the club, mutant,
arcana things matter and like ones,
it's like rock paper scissors kind of.
But just to get the basic understanding and play
against the Oracle on easy,
I think, I don't think that's crazy.
Yeah, yeah, same.
And I gotta say, man, after you know when you have like
a long day of drinking beers and you're just like,
resisting, I'm not gonna break the seal,
I'm not gonna break the seal, then you break the seal
and then you can't, you can't stop going to the bathroom,
dude, I ripped my first packs last night.
I ripped all my digital packs.
It's just like, I broke the seal, man,
and I'm looking at my desk, I'm looking right at three
sealed boxes, and I'm sweating, man.
I'm like in a cold sweat, it's like,
I don't know, man, I'm feeling the need to rip these,
but I don't know, I'm in that collector's mindset,
like you said, I am now I'm kind of like wanting to collect,
but I'm wanting to keep these sealed,
and I know I could rip one, ship one, stock one,
do all that, but man, once I open one,
it's just like, I wanna rip them all, man,
how do I deal with this?
What's the cure here?
Dude, you already started it,
it's, it's, you started ripping,
and it's really hard to just have one beer, you know what I mean?
So like if you already, if you already cracked the case
or cracked the box, you might as well just open
the rest of the box, dude.
Yeah.
No, my box is three, still unopened,
so it's kind of like, I still have this,
this point of resistance here where I can be like,
okay, I can play mental gymnastics and be like,
okay, I'm gonna wait for all the information to come out
and see, okay, this physical, the digital submission process,
what does that look like?
You know, is that something I wanna go through
or do I wanna just have fun, rip it,
do a stream, do a couple streams,
since I got three boxes, like that would be really fun
to do for me, for the community,
and sometimes, you know, the journey is the reward,
you know what I mean?
Like just ripping, like inviting people to,
kind of share that experience, you know,
I think that would be really fun too.
So, yeah, I'm deep in deliberations.
It is a personal journey, but man,
I'm thankful to have these, and yeah,
mud water is on the mind, but you know,
we got new waves here to talk to tonight as well,
so let's get rolling.
Yeah, we could definitely talk mud water all day long.
But like you said, we're here, this is welcome Wednesday.
This is the space for new apes to come up,
introduce themselves, and I see we do have one here
up with us today, and I wanna get to,
to Juniverst in a second here,
but I gotta say what's up to my man lost
to join us up here this evening,
and I wanna say how's it going to last, how you doing, brother?
Hey, good evening, good afternoon,
wanted to be here with you guys to welcome new apes,
wanted to be here for new apes to welcome them,
and have seen you guys blowing up the timeline,
welcoming new folks, so appreciate you guys
for catching all of those new members
as they're coming in because there has been so many,
and I know you've got your hands full.
Thanks for having us up here.
Definitely man, and like I had to build a bot today,
I was like, dude, I need an assistant,
I need an assistant, and so we got,
we got our bot, I'm teaching us our processes,
I'm having a scour the timeline, this is wall,
this is the welcome apes lookout,
and a tracker bot that I made, so pretty excited to test this
for the next couple of weeks, see how helpful it actually is,
see how good it is at doing what we do
to kind of make sure all these purchases are real,
but excited to adopt Walt into our family at welcome apes,
and we'll see how it works, but yeah, you're not wrong loss,
this is a, this is a crazy, crazy couple of weeks,
and I expect that to continue, and so we're definitely
like building up our defenses against all the new,
the new apes, not gonna on our door, so,
but that's a good thing.
And you gotta, you gotta post the picture of Walt,
his PFB, because Walt is a gangster dude,
and he's a gorilla that looks like Walter White
from Breaking Bad, so I wouldn't mess with Walt.
But yeah, we got some new club members up here,
I wanna pass the mic over to Juniverse,
who, Juniverse, I remember welcoming you
on the timeline the other week,
and I know you tried to make it in last week,
and we were super slammed, and it's hard to make time
to fit in there, so I'm really glad to finally get you
in here this week, and we'll kickstart you off first,
and want to say happy welcome Wednesday,
and how's it going, my friend?
I'm just finally meeting you.
Yeah, for sure, Lynn.
Thanks for having me up here.
So, everyone, I go by Juni,
to Juniverse, it's my end.
I've been pretty active in the space since, like, I don't know, 2022,
but I just saw, like, you guys blown up the timeline
with 8th S, and I kinda just had a photo with that,
even though I don't really know anyone in the 8th community.
I know a few, but yeah, I just wanted to join,
and I honestly, with the new nape side,
the one that I got was like, you know,
four trainers, like Kleiner, so I was like, okay,
I vibed with this one, so I decided to get it,
and I'm just kinda excited to be part of, you know, B-A-Y-C-M-A-Y-C-N-C-C,
what you guys are all about.
I could tell you guys are super active, which is dope.
But yeah, just happy to be here.
I was going through your timeline,
pinning up some of your posts, and, you know,
a large part of what we do here on welcome Wednesday
is getting to know new club members,
and I think part of some of that early B-A-Y-C-Magic
was the fact that you were just meeting
and connecting with new people,
and something that I've noticed about you on your timeline
is that you're in the rock climbing,
and I know that there's a few other A-S within the community
that are in the rock climbing, and yeah, I don't know.
You want to tell us a little bit about yourself,
to your universe, and tell us a little bit
about the rock climbing and stuff like that.
Yeah, hell yeah.
Yeah, so I was in, I joined Web 3, 20, 22.
I've been largely part of the Zuki community
for like most of my career, I guess in Web 3,
but you know, things have kind of changed a little bit,
and I kind of went looking at different community,
but I was part of, I got a little,
little pudgy for a little while, but wasn't super active,
but amongst all that, like within all the communities,
I've been known kind of as like the nature guy,
like I love mountain, I love climbing,
doing all that stuff, I also love fitness.
So yeah, most of my time, I spend honestly like outdoors.
I like to call it Web 0,
because you're disconnected from like society
and the internet, you know?
So that's how I've kind of coined that term
within the communities that I spend my time in Web 0,
but yeah, I love climbing, I love mountains,
I love flirting with death a little bit up there,
and you know, I like sharing a lot of that content,
just being outside, I like taking videos,
lots of cool photos, and then you know,
because most of the timeline is like,
you know, there's not much nature stuff on the other timeline.
So I like to switch it up a little bit, add some variety,
show up people that there's more to life than just streams,
but I mean, having a community online,
but like you guys has been pretty dope,
just connecting with a bunch of new people and stuff.
But I'm, I'm a love meeting new folks,
I hope I can make it to the next eight tests,
it looks super sick, and I'm just like I said,
just happy to meet more people
and be part of the community,
but anything outdoorsy, if you like rock climbing,
nature, doing any of the like, you know,
anything like that, I'm always here to talk about
all the like, all that type of stuff.
Yeah, welcome to university.
I'm looking at your ape, it's like super duper clean,
it's that kind of what attracted you to picking that one
was it like you are really want like the cleanest ape possible
or was it just sitting there on the floor?
Yeah, what kind of drew you to that?
Yeah, I was looking at it particularly.
Yeah, I was looking at, I mean, it was,
it was actually, I mean, it was on the floor,
it was like, I don't know, 0.15 above floor,
but I resonated with it more than the other ones
because I've always been looking for quite some time
to see like which one I resonated with,
but and there's a bunch, but obviously it's had big marks on them,
but out of the ones that were up to sale,
this one that definitely I resonated with the most
because it's a little bit cleaner.
I like mushroom, it's got mushrooms on its face.
Kind of looks like he's pretty ripped
and I like fitness, kind of looks like a climber monkey
a little bit, you know, so I just,
and I've been playing with like AI a little bit
like making like climbing AI generated images
or whatever, I think it fits pretty well.
A lot of people have been like, dude,
you're eight fits really well.
People who weren't even aren't even in the B a way,
see community, so I'm like, okay,
I feel like I made a good choice.
So yeah, I mean, like I said,
monkeys, apes climb, I like to climb,
I thought it was a good fit.
I know a few people in the community,
but after getting this, I feel like I've been able
to connect with them a little bit more.
I've already been invited into one of the eight Instagram
like fitness group chats.
It's fun being part of that.
So I feel like I've been getting integrated pretty well
from what I've like, I've only been like a part of it
so like a week, but it's been,
you guys have been pretty welcome.
It's been pretty sick being part of it,
as opposed to being outside of it.
Yeah, I was gonna ask because I'm not sure
if there's a board ape climbers club,
but maybe there could be like a little thing
within that, within that sort of fitness group
that could be like, yeah, we're climbers
and yeah, this eight does look pretty ripped.
I gotta say, you guys have like a process for that
like to start like community.
Even stuff, but I know on the website,
there are like community and stuff.
I don't know what the process for that is and what that is.
That's a great question.
Yeah, it is.
It's a pretty, it's still pretty grassroots like,
yeah, who likes to climb?
Like let's make a group chat and then that's always
usually where it starts and then, yeah,
and I mean, it just becomes, if it becomes a big enough thing,
I think it's possible to be like,
we're a chapter of like apes that go climbing occasionally
and I'll live in this area.
So yeah, it's still pretty grassroots in my opinion.
I don't think there's some like official channels,
but I think yeah, if some of these chapters
do become big enough, it's possible to get like on the B.A.Y.C. website,
like some of the, like some of the just the chapters
that hang out, you know, like cigar city apes
or magic city apes down here in Florida.
So yeah, it's a pretty grassroots thing still I think.
Yeah, yeah, I feel like board climbers
or something have a good room to it.
It's climbing culture over the world to this.
So yeah, I mean, I was looking to that.
I've been trying to connect with some more like,
so I live in like the Washington area of the US.
I've been trying to connect with,
I've already connected with a few people in Washington,
not in person, but just like being like,
hey, who, what any apes in Washington, Oregon,
and trying to connect with them.
And I just want to kind of get to know more people
through like interest and proximity and stuff.
So yeah, it's been pretty sick.
Oh yeah, there's some, there are definitely some apes
that have been Pacific Northwest.
Like, and it doesn't shock me that that
y'all would have like a hiking or outdoorsy group.
But I lived up there for a time and everyone was all about hiking.
Like I'd come in on a Monday and people like,
oh yeah, did y'all go hiking this weekend?
Like people were talking about hiking like all the time.
So yeah, kind of missed that about that area.
Yeah, that's kind of what my life is.
I mean, honestly, how I got into Whip 3,
I was supposed to go on a hike, but I got snowed in.
And then I was like, the hell's an NFC.
I've been hearing it.
And then that's when I went down the rabbit hole and joined.
So because I got snowed in, I'm in the Whip 3 now.
So I guess, and yeah, the rest of the history, it's been sick.
I don't think we've heard that one on Welcome Wednesday
before.
Yeah, absolutely unique.
Yeah, but I really like what you guys are doing
with the Welcome Wednesday.
I don't think I haven't seen any communities do that,
at least like outside of the full run of like 21, 22.
Outside of that, I haven't really seen this.
It's like pretty fucking awesome that we've been doing.
Still doing stuff like this, you know.
I appreciate that.
Yeah, man.
Thank you.
I know some communities have kind of like built their own kind
of ex accounts that are sort of not
a homage to us, but definitely inspired by what the club did,
what the welcoming committee did in building this.
And but I think, yeah, I think we're definitely
the hardest working welcoming committee in Web 3 for sure.
We keep it going.
And like we're just turning up, turning it up as more
and more people join and we realize like how much this means
to people, how special these experiences are.
It's just like, yeah, it fuels us to go harder
and put in the work every night to make sure people get
that moment because it's a big deal.
Like, this is a big deal.
This is a big purchase still like as much as people.
