AI Summary

high marks for
the war in venezuela and the war in iran
as far as the way that uh... we haven't sent our military in
but unfortunately
voters aren't impressed that's not what they're interested in
the second concern
on all the voters
was um...
the economy was uh...
oh my gosh what was it
uh... i'm sorry guys
i'm gonna flip it this way
the last thing
on voters minds now
it's a word ability yeah affordability thank you
but i'm gonna go from the bottom up
so what is not this is what i found interesting
what is not concerning voters
is
the border in immigration which we were all there before
let me put it this way republicans
independence
the ones that would help us win elections
they're not talking about it
and social issues
whether we like it or not
social issues played a big role
in motive a motivating
republicans to the polls
that's not even being discussed now
they also feel like trump is to authoritarian
that he's taken too many liberties
and voters are not impressed with that
sixty percent of independence
are saying
that we had vote for trump
and this last election
says they may not vote republican
that's all i have right now and so i can get home and pull up some notes
and breakdown some other important facts
but that's all i have right now guys and thank you
christie put in
who's the
pitch you would have started seven skimmed world series may
like that there's only one answer
by stats and that's not a symbol gardener so that's a loaded question
you can look it up not even
i know you know that's your correct but good lord
uh... i would take any of them but um... anyway that's alright
but um... yes
the thing i find interesting about your numbers is always the independent
voters because those are ones ever gonna decide the election and it doesn't
really matter to an extent
what the left of the right does the independence of the independence or not
with you then you're
really
real quick if we have in the in the independence in the space
please come up and tell us how you feel
if uh... we could get shawne i'm driving or i can't
i'd like to see how he really feels about these issues that it's affecting
you
uh... thank you
but because um...
we assume that the democrats will be motivated divided and out they'll be
motivated to vote
the republicans okay let's just say that they're motivated to vote
that doesn't mean anything it's up to those independent voters and if the
independent voters are with the president
then the they will they will do something that's only happened for other times
in history
if it's like every other time that has happened in history then
the house you know maybe even the senate may go but that's the thing
it is going to be about the economy
and it will always be about the president's job performance at that point in
time that's why i thought it was appropriate because that's what people are
gonna go based off of so
let me get
laran if you're ready if not go ahead Chris
yeah i just want to interject so
if you guys want my personal opinion and we can obviously were having a
space about this but
i feel like we might lose the house
i think
the house that but i don't think the margins can be a crazy margin
i think democrats maybe one plus four
if that was my if that was my guess i think republicans hold the senate
um...
democrats had an outside chance for a little bit but
with the type of uh...
the type of people that decided to push through some primaries
you're gonna get a lot of them so not only you're gonna get you're gonna get
you're gonna get independence and you know that's my other thing we have to
discuss it's not just
you can pull these people but who's actually going to show up to vote
and who's motivated to vote and that's going to actually swing a lot of these
elections
so we'll see who uh... does better in these districts of getting out
getting out and getting people out to vote because i think some democrats will
be motivated but some won't
and i've talked to a few democrats that aren't really motivated
and some of these swing states with some of the candidates that got elected in
their primaries so
like as we look at you know like we have republicans that aren't motivated by
some hardcore magick anitz democrats have
that's the same thing like we always forget they have a site to and they're not
all the same
and they get labeled as a same but there are some that are more regular people
that are real happy with what's going on on their side as well so i think it's
gonna be a lot more dynamic than people think i don't think there's just an
easy answer but that's me being long-winded
no i think you kind of i think that's
to truth though it's uh...
there's not gonna be it's not going to be definitive one way or the other
like it's not like one side is going to get twenty seats or thirty seats i don't
think it's that because i don't think that
it dot at least from what i like you i hear democrats that are
they're kind of done with our party to and they're not exactly motivated
the differences though
there will be people that will the right the red i'm sorry the republican
party in primary i'm sorry in primaries were not great
i don't see like in florida getting thirty percent for the primary you're not
gonna get sixty percent of republicans to show up unfortunately if you do
great and that is really what it's going to boil down to is the turnout part
and go ahead saltwater dot and want to cut you off now you're fine
christ i agreed with what you said a hundred percent and he was well-nathen
but i did want to offer this as well what i did notice was and this is my
opinion from everything i read i do see
donald trump being blamed for a lot that a lot of policy problems that our
country's facing for instance that doesn't have anything to do with him
like we know he can't control the gas prices but unfortunately that's
falling in his lap but what i also found interesting
we did spaces and spaces just two years ago
what's it's facing can you hear me yeah we don't know it's like that yeah i had a
phone call um what the country was facing and i find it
fascinating that the two years ago we were facing
immigration the social issues and crime that's not even being talked about now
and that is what's being blamed on trump um it's almost like the country
thinks that immigration solved uh crime is solved uh our foreign affairs
solved however if we go back to liberal policies
aren't we back in the same boat we were in again so i was hoping that we could
talk about that a little bit um why the shift and why people no longer care
about those values and why we're not trying to keep those safe and make sure
our border stays right where it is and the only thing that i could come up with
is because we're caring more about what's coming out of our pocket
than anything else and i know many people in this room are like suck it up it
costs money we'll tell that to someone who um
has to not pay their light bill to buy food and those are voters too
thank you that was um i'm so glad you said that because that is very important um
and but someone else wrote some uh in the purple film i really want it this is
i don't anticipate republicans gaining seats in the house of the senate the average
american those not on x struggled financially under Biden and now under this
administration and people aren't happy and that's really it this is not it's a midterm election
no one is going to care about foreign policy because foreign policy doesn't keep their
lights on no one is going to care about a lot of the other stuff the border thank god that that is
an issue that's off the table but even if it was on the table the fact that people do have to
make decisions as to which bills that they're going to pay that is an enormous thing and when
the economy is the way that it is you can whistle and dance all you want but people are going to vote
based off of their pocketbooks go ahead Lauren and then we'll get to Derek and then we'll get to
beach and uh america go ahead and Lauren hey can you guys hear me okay yes okay good um glad to see
everybody um so i agree salty about that the trump wins um i thought he did well on the economy
in his first term not so much now really um and unfortunately yeah that's the most important thing
in the midterms um i agree with chris's assessment like 100% of what he said about the midterms i
don't think it'll be a huge margin but i definitely think the democrats are going to take the house
i think there was kind of a chance for a little bit for the democrats to take the senate but
like whatever happened in Maine with the grand planer and then michigan i don't think of dual
lsa is it's gonna win the state um and if stevens were to win the primary i think she would have won
that election so basically i don't i don't think that they have as much of a chance anymore to
win back the senate um and then also chris i agree you said that a lot of democrats are going to stay
home but i just want to point out like we're basically just lucky that there's so much dysfunction
going on over there because um regardless of how you feel about trump i think you guys obviously
know how i feel but um people are you know his approval is low so we just the midterms were already
not going to go well and um like republicans for some reason just don't like to vote in the midterms
i don't know what their problem is or or just when trump is in on the ballot i guess there's a lot of
people that just stay home so basically we're just lucky that there's a lot of dysfunction
because i think if there weren't um we would it these races would do a lot a lot more strongly
the other way thank you so much Derek come on up here brother what are your thoughts
yeah i don't um have two new odds of an opinion honestly on trump's second term i think that i
could say that i didn't um like trump in his first term um i wasn't a fan of his presidency in
the first term but there were a lot more things that i could acknowledge that were successful for
example i mean just like uh the appointment of drone Powell to the federal reserve who who i think
was very qualified um you know i think his supreme court picks were you know conservatives more
conservative than my picks but were three highly qualified people um the abraham Accords but i i
mean i think that this this term i have a much lower opinion of altogether i think he sees much
less restrained by more responsible people i mean there's still some things i can pick out uh
sparkorubio was probably the best pick that he could have made for secretary of state i think that
that's i certainly think if he fires rubio his approval rating will i mean you know normally voters
don't care much about foreign policy but i think that you know among like normal swing voters firing
Marco rubio would really tank his approval rating uh and i think and then there's some things that
rubio has done that i agree with like i think rubio has done a pretty good job on on on Syria
but um which which which which which was a really difficult situation that they inherited so i
don't i don't want to minimize that um they recently negotiated the agreement between the Kurds
and the new government in Damascus to integrate their military forces um but the the united
states negotiated that agreement so um yeah so there's some stuff like that but i mean the tariffs
have been a disaster um we've completely eroded so many us alliances um which is the largest
cost of the tariffs the corruption of this administration is substantially more widespread than
than a previous president seeming to the point that we don't even talking like like Lori Chavette
Ramer got chased out for being basically nakedly corrupt as secretary of labor and nobody even
talks about it because she's just like the median cabinet person at this point um so yeah i think
it's really bad um there's some positive things i can say the Artemis program is going well although
i don't i don't i trump did did place a big emphasis on nasa in his first term so i guess that's
and Jared Isaacman was a good appointment to nasa but i'm like i like space stuff so i don't think
most voters really care that much about that and i will say the only reason that democrats aren't
going to win a huge majority in the house i think is because of gerry vandering i mean we have much
fewer competitive districts it i'm not saying we just have way fewer competitive districts today than
we did in 2018 i mean in a tornado 2018 map yeah i think they'd win potentially a larger
majority than they won 2018 so it's not really like it's misleading to say that that's a good
like a positive sign for the republican party now i think the senate probably republicans are
favored but i think it's very close um there is there's a tale scenario where a lot of these states
that wouldn't normally be competitive like texas and ayowa and ohio and alaska you know the democrats
put democrats put forward some terrible candidates in michigan but i don't know i mean the national
environment michigan obviously had fucking sucks right uh and they also fucked up florida but i
don't think they were ever going to win florida anyways but like you know the the national environment
so bad that they could still win michigan and main despite having a far worse candidate quality
and then they have a they're winning in terms of the candidate quality in by a lot in alaska
texas ayowa and ohio so there's still a chance that um that the democrats could win the senate
but you know i like it's it's not really i i think oh and and obviously in north carolina and
georgia too like north carolina there it right that's not even we're not even talking about the fact
that their north carolina's a state that democrats have found very disappointing in federal elections
and it basically looks like war at cooper is going to win because tom tillis got chased out
like it's not even i don't even think republicans think that they have much of a shot at this point
in north carolina so i mean they have like an outside shot i don't want to see zero percent but maybe
like a look like a less than 20 percent chance in north carolina so that's pretty bad so i think
it's going very poorly um i think it is uh i think it's going very poorly if you vote for the president
i think it's going very poorly if you didn't vote for the president so um yeah that's that's my basic
opinion of where the presidency the president is at at this point but i don't i also don't think
also it makes a point it doesn't seem to me like trump really cares like i don't know that it's
that important to him how the republicans do in the midterms uh the things that he's focusing on or
issues like the ballroom and like the reflecting pool things that voters just don't care about like
like like nobody is vote gonna like right he's emphasizing
