Judgment and Self-righteousness: Purity Tests, The Conservative Hour

I'm not aware only to find it. It's not the way I had imagined it all in my mind. So what if I happen to get everything? Because I can't just find a way everyone is located in the desert cave, it's common when I'm low, and the boat is my own, and the boat is my own. I see the amazing why so salty is here, which makes me smile today. Today we are going to talk about self-righteousness, judgment, purity tests. I'm so glad the BP is here because I love to hear his opinion on this, because this is something we talk about a lot when it comes to politics, but also it's in your real life, because I think there's nothing wrong with being a little bit judgmental. If someone does something wrong, it's okay to it. It's wrong. Self-righteousness, we all are that, and that's kind of how we keep society, hopefully, from not sliding into chaos, but there does come no bitty test. And my code and BP's code are not going to be the same, they can't be. We're two different people, but at the same time, that doesn't mean that we're two different people who have two different codes, but can't find some way to compromise. Know it's a dirty word sometimes, but it is okay. So I wanted to talk about that. I thought that we could do what we always do, because we have such a great group of people. So everybody, I hope you are ready. Brother Chris, come on in here. How was your weekend? Hopefully it wasn't too hot. Hey, good morning, everybody. No, actually, we had monsoons this weekend, so it was pretty crazy. It was definitely a wet weekend here in Vegas, clearing up today. It should be in the 90s to 100s, so see how it goes. Oh, yeah, this should be an interesting topic. You know, I definitely have judgments, like when I see someone cook a steak at olive oil, and it's like really white and freezer burned. I'm going to pass judgment on those people, but yeah, I mean, I think in politics, I think we pass judgments too much sometimes. I think when you start looking at policy again, obviously there are some things I will not, you know, I will hold my judgment on if, you know, someone's per se, someone that has a Nazi tattoo on their chest. I'm probably not going to vote for them, you know, like the guy in Grand Plotter. And I don't care if you're Republican or Democrat. And I think when we're pushing these candidates in front of us, I think we do have to analyze them sometimes based on who they are versus what part of they are. Right? So if we're Republican, if we ran Grand Plotter, say he was Republican, I would not vote for him. So I think we need to start paying attention to things. But I'll shut up and we'll get the speakers and the other hosts. All right, go ahead, miss Lauren. I'm not going to judge you for your steak today. I already did. But in my mind, you guys were talking shit about me last night. I already do. I'm never going to get in the middle of this stupid steak. Can you hear me? Because I have one air pot in because I'm still at the hospital. You can hear me. We can hear you, but you sound a little mean. But go ahead. No, actually I had a good weekend. It was good. I was home for the weekend, so that was nice. But I am still, like on the topic, I definitely have a lot of thoughts as well, but I am still unfortunately at the hospital. So I'll be mainly listening at least for like the first 20 minutes. And then, yeah, I'll have more to say. But I'll just listen for now. Awesome. Awesome. Why is not ready yet? So BP get in here, brother. I cannot wait to you. Yeah. No, I think that they get all boiled down to two things. We want to the bad ideas. And we want to promote or move forward the good ideas. You know, boil it all down. People would say, like, Max Miller's are really good. I wanted to bring up because you know, support what's been going because I talk to the bad ideas more than more than the Democrat. We get all boils down to our left with choosing between two people. We block the bad ideas for those sometimes. Unfortunately, that means voting for someone that we want. Watch the bad ideas push forward with the good. Lauren, your hands shut up so fast. BP, the first thing you said really got my attention was, we want to basically paraphrasing applaud the good ideas and reject the bad ideas. However, what happens when I believe something is a good idea and you believe something is a bad idea. That's where I believe our judgment and self-righteousness and purity test come in because we can't even try to compromise. We already want to judge, be self-righteous and offer a purity test, not really understanding that we all come from different parts of the country. Every state that's even read needs different types of Republican leaders, Democratic leaders, if you're a Democrat. And I believe that we should do better as conservatives. We should do better and listen more and drop a lot of the self-righteousness, judgment and purity test just because we don't agree because what is a good idea to me, BP, may not be a good idea to you. So who gets to judge that? Who gets to decide then? Well, it's good to see you. Go ahead, Derek. And by the way, it's good to see you. Yeah, good to see you. Then a while. Have the individual get kind of like do you trust this week's block of that good ideas? I think if you can answer to one of those questions, truly assessment as many of you know, I cannot trust them. Jay blocked the bad ideas. What's good ideas? Perhaps today. So you would not vote for a Republican if they were pushing bad ideas? BP? No, if I had an answer, I guess, and did not trust them the Republican to block the bad ideas. Like Thomas Matthews, a great example. First is the Democrat. I still vote for Matt because at a minimum, I think he will block the bad ideas. He's still blocked the bad ideas. Go ahead, Lauren. And jump in because this is actually a great conversation. What is like the line or is there no line or is there like anything that would make you not? Because to me, I get it with the purity test. I think a lot of them are ridiculous. But are we really just going to be a country where we don't care about these things? And I get it with good ideas, worse bad ideas. I just can't with them. Like I would just sit out and not vote. But to say that you're going to vote for him. Just because he's not like, I'm just do you have a line of what's okay and what's not okay? Have you found that line yet? Is between public and in a Democrat, the minimum. I mean, if I could have been a mom, I trust them. If everybody thought like you, though, we would have like a completely corrupt like party that, you know, like it's a little bit dangerous. Explain that though. Everybody's voting. It's time to vote. It's time to vote. Hang on, hang on, hang on. That they themselves believe that I do. Lauren, Lauren, give us a Democrat that you think that we should vote for over Republican. Hey, no, hold up, hold up. Whoa, whoa. I just would sit out. That's what I'm saying. But to say that you're going to vote for someone who literally abuses his, like, I just, this guy is so awful. So I just, I'm like, wondering if there is any line that you would just not cross. Like for me, it was January 6th. Like I could never, like I voted for him twice, would never vote for him at third time, just because of that. Like that whole, and, you know, other things that happen. But I mean, is there not like a line that you would just not want to be able to vote? Let's say, yeah, sure. Let's say the guy was, you know, accused of murder on date in the race. I wouldn't vote for him. He's a liar. How's that? I mean, that's one, that's one example of like, all right, well, the guy, the guy's going to be in jail. He's been convicted of murder. Beating his wife is pretty far, but I'm not going to try to change your mind. I just, and thanks for like having the courage to say it. I just was curious. But yeah, I totally disagree, obviously. Yeah, the girl, literally, right. Your opinion. Yeah, because, because, ultimately, what we want out of politics, a lot of them are in one way or another. I mean, a lot of them. I mean, is this your point of condensing that they're pursuing that life? Yeah, I don't have to say that. I thought he was going to have to give his turn. I don't know what the hell he was going to. He was just jumping in like, that's how it rolls. That's not it. So you can request. Yeah, zip it. Go ahead. I'm done. I'll set up. Yeah. Yeah, I would just say like a lot of them are currently I care about what they're going to vote for, what they're going to know. Good salty. And then we'll get to the hands. Great conversation. No good. Thank you. Now, BP, I could be wrong. And also to everyone. Republicans also have bad ideas. And when I'm listening to what you're saying, and like I said, I could be wrong, it sounds like you're saying, but Republicans don't have extreme bad ideas. But some of them do. Some of them would believe it's okay to have abortion at eight and nine nuts. Some of them believe it's okay to allow men into women's restrooms and will not fight for our conservative values. So I just want to point out to hear you, we all can have bad ideas. So I think we also need to weed out what's important to us and what's the line we won't cross or accept from a politician besides bad ideas. Wouldn't it be what they stand for? What their platform is, whether they're Republican, independent, or Democrat?
