Everybody in Wilkner showed in friends on XDD Miami with her else shield med X and Kosovo
order up. We are exactly 51 days 19 hours and 48 minutes till DD Miami. How is everybody
doing today?
Bless brother, you already know how you doing today.
To blessed to be stressed my friend. To blessed to be stressed.
To bless and to be good.
Having an attitude or gratitude goes a long way. You know, you got to keep that mindset
as strong. Be positive positive thinking impacts your life tremendously. It's too easy
to slip into uncertainty and doubt. So you got to be strong with that mental fortitude
and block out all that negative noise that's going on right now in the world. But that
being said, everything is fantastic over here. I think I've watched champ the sushi chef
chop up some fish about a hundred times today so far. So it's it you know I can't help
to have a smile on my face.
Yeah, I heard someone call him a sous chef earlier.
Yeah, a sous chef is like the assistant to a chef that's not short for sushi chef.
So that's kind of say, sushi. Sushi chef is our thing to say.
I like sushi chef. Actually, it makes me want to go get sushi right now to be honest. I kind
of just want to go get some sushi. I was thinking about it for breakfast, but then I was
like, you know what? No, that's probably not good. I'm going to be running around all morning.
Do she probably my favorite food, but I don't like to eat it when I'm in a landlocked
state. I just something about it. I'm like this. It can't be fresh.
With the last time we had sushi was in a landlocked state.
No, New York is not landlocked. There's a party. We can be like surrounded by land all
the way around. Yeah. Like I'm in Ohio. But like it's not like they caught that sushi
right out of the frickin' bay in New York City. No, but that's where the terminal is like
New York and San Francisco are some of the terminals for like out of the country fish.
So you know, it's like for fresher. Yeah. But in Ohio, it's like, what am I going to
get? A catfish sushi roll? Like no, the fresh off the boat. Yeah, does it have any extra
eyes because I've seen them in the horror and they're freaking huge, dude. You know those
newtlers? Newtlers? Like hillbilly handfish and stuff? Yeah, dude, but dude, they pull out
catfish that are like the size of a small human. Yeah, if you use the mud tatters, those
were Cindy's classmates Mark Scholl and Marion Concade. They won the mudcat or television
show competition. That's cool. Yeah. Anthem, that's, I feel like anytime anything's
mentioned, you have, you're like one degree separation from everything. Yeah, I don't
know why God did this. He was like, all right, this one, this one's going to be super amusing.
Well, I mean, he was probably like this guy has a very positive attitude and it will be
a worldly benefit. So I'll run with that. Okay, let's go with that one. At least you're
not like out here, you know, just manipulating markets and wrecking people. So I wish I had
that kind of power. I'm glad I do. And I'd probably be a lot more stressed out. I don't
know with everything you said. I'm sure it was like a couple decisions away from a possibility.
You never know. I mean, hey, if it's toward doing only good every millisecond day, that's
good. Hopefully so maybe that maybe so good intentions, right? Yeah, absolutely. It's
funny. You say intentions because I think for the longest time we've been living in an
attention economy where like whatever gets attention kind of gets the results. But I feel like
maybe this is helpful thinking, but I feel like we're moving towards an intention economy
where like whatever your intention is is going to reap the better intentions are going to
reap the rewards. So I was this some hope core. Yes, you're correct. I don't know about
it. Hope core just pure optimism from this.
Intentional being intentional is important. You can't just wake up and just like actually
hope core would be waking up and not having an intention for the day where intentional.
I don't know what we're talking about. I was watching the sushi chef up top. Oh, it's
so good guys. It looks amazing. I love the little pieces. Like I actually want like cookies
that look like that. Maybe when we're landlocked. You know the cookies that look like sushi,
but they taste like cookies. I would be more fun to that. Yeah, I have. Yeah, that would
be tasty. I need to know do you sashimi? Oh, I like sushi. Yeah. Yeah. And then I like
it really clean. Probably more a negiri person. I don't like it's not that I don't like,
but I'm not a huge roll guy. Rather just have like a little bit of rice with like the fish
straight on top. What were we eating on the 150th floor of the edge? That was negiri. Negiri
is when it's like a little blanket of fish on top of the rice. And then suit the straight
up roll with everything. I looked over at Devon and I was like, this isn't the type of sushi
that I normally eat. Devon was like, well, you're on the 150th floor. They're not trying to make
you sick here. Yeah, you'll be fine. I'm just going to eat everything on the menu.
We, Fumi and I have a friend in Japan and his whole like career is the arbitrage of fish
sales for international exports. So like we went to that fish market. You have to get there
like 5 a.m. And it is packed and everyone's screened. It feels like you're you're at the New
York Stock Exchange. It smells like fish. There's people in overalls and kind of like fish stuff
everywhere. And I don't know, it was awesome. But very chaotic lifestyle. That guy lives, but a
really cool guy. But yeah, he actually exports a lot of the tuna that gets to New York's in San Francisco
for like the Omakase chefs. So the people who like chop it up right in front of you.
Yeah. So there's so much fun. And have you been to the bars where they'll like take your
temperature and then give you something specific? I'm being a bit of an exaggerator, but you know what
I mean. Yeah. We went to the craziest thing in Japan. They took me to this Ezekiah, which is like just
like basically like the same thing as a dive bar. But some of them are super nice. Some of them are
more diving like. And this was like underground. I was like, where are you guys taking me? No one
spoke English there. And that's where they served me live octopus, which was a very unique experience.
And they find it very insulting if they like offer you something and you straight up say no. So
it was like, I had that experience once with Cindy. The first time we went to Japan, it was before
we got married and we were with a celebrity in Japan. And we went to like a Habachi thing. And yeah,
there was like some kind of something. It was living and it was wheeling around on that Habachi thing.
Sorry, it's not funny, but it was, I don't know why I'm laughing so much. No, it's kind of funny when
you're not used to that stuff. And then it's like, they serve it to you and you're like, but you're like,
um, this is still moving. And like, yeah, you just bite it really hard. I don't want to do that
to the octopus. Wait, is that the one that you can actually choke on when you when you eat it? No,
that's the life squid thing. And that's like at least the live octopus. They do like chop it up,
but it's, their hearts are in its legs. So like it's definitely still. I like grilled octopus.
Yeah, it's like my favorite food ever. Like it tastes like filet mignon and chicken combined. Actually,
it's funny. When we were up there at the VIP dinner and they served octopus, I had literally thought
I was like, did gigatron like go through my post and see that octopus was my favorite because I
haven't ordered anything yet. Yeah, it was a while. Taco. Yeah. If they gave me the, uh,
the live squid, that might be that might be the hard refusal from this. I might have to burn
relationships to there's no way I could do it. Why? Because they like they serve it whole and they
don't like de-succerate or anything. So it can, you can die because it will choke you from the inside.
Well, I'm not trying to eat it properly. You got to do it. You got to do it. And you know,
sometimes when you get things that you don't want to eat that much, you just kind of
try to swallow it. I don't know. I don't know if I like this story. This might be the only reason I
don't want to go to Japan. Like I want to go to Japan every other reason. So I think we're good.
Okay, cool. I'll stay away from that. I'm not surprised. I want to run a super uh, and go drifting in
the woods, you know, like at Tokyo drift style. We worked with the Toyota drift team. So they
like taught me how to drift in a Supra. I'll hit them up if we go. Actually, not if we go,
when we go, because you just reminded me that there's this specific thing that we need to get cracking
on before the weekend's over. Yep. Well, I hope it's not sushi. And because like we started talking
about Miami, and I'm like, I'm really looking forward to going to Miami to meet all you guys in
everything. But like I tried some Kalamari once. I'm not really a fish guy at all. And it was like
turning my stomach. But like the whole sushi talk and the squid and whatnot. I'm just like, uh,
bro, what's up? You coming to Miami? Have a fun. Helio, I'm coming to Miami, man. I would miss
that for the world. I miss New York. I ain't doing that again. Yeah. Yeah. You know, there's this one
guy in regardless. His name is Hofer. He missed one one event. We went to every single event. He
missed one. He said the same thing. He was like, actually, I'm pretty sure he missed D. Miami
last year. And then he was like, you know, I'm never going to miss an event ever again. So I feel
you, brother. I feel you. I'll see you at D.D. Miami. For sure, brother. Um, I was supposed to go
Vegas yesterday, but it was my birthday as well. So I opted out to stay home and don't eat my time
to the local food pantry, stocking them and stuff and got to spend time with the family, which was
really special. But now...
