I reached out to a few people and said, hey, she's
planning on doing a space today who wants to come.
And it looks like some people are turning up.
I see Tiffany's here, too.
And I think she probably followed her cousin Mike in here.
But I'm sure it'll be a fun space.
Yeah, no, I love you guys.
I tip so happy to see you, too.
I'm like, gosh, I love you.
I'm in town, by the way.
Wait, by in town, you mean Florida, right?
Yeah.
That's crazy.
OK, because I just got back.
I was just in New York City.
So I literally woke up this morning and was like, where am I?
Because I was like my first night sleeping in my own bed
in like a month.
Oh, my gosh, I'm going to be glorious.
It was.
It was.
But I'm like, I literally have, I'm like, where am I right now?
And where are you?
But yeah, that's awesome.
I'm here.
I don't know how long you're here.
We'll have to connect on the side.
But yeah, I'll text you.
Yeah, text me because the only other thing is I'm actually
going to Mom's for Liberty and Dallas on Thursday.
So a little shout out to I don't know if anyone else in the room
is going to be there or wants to join.
But that's happening this week.
I'm flying.
Yeah, it starts on Thursday.
So I'm flying Thursday morning to Dallas.
If anyone is in Dallas or wants to make the trip,
I do have a code, bold lib 2026, for 15% off your summit
registration.
Anyway, DM me, hit me up.
It's going to be a lot of fun.
I'm speaking on a panel session on Friday afternoon,
called Beyond the Ballot Box, the Power of Cultural Influence.
So very excited.
It'll be my second year.
It was really fun last year in Orlando.
So yeah, so if anyone is interested in that,
we can talk about that.
But Tiff, please hit me up because I'd love to see you.
We still need to do our, it feels like I always
feel like I've met you in person because at least we've
connected virtually now via like the podcasts and streams
and stuff.
But I forget we still haven't met in person.
It's so weird.
Same thing with Shane.
Same thing with Mike Mack.
Anyways, guys, thanks so much for joining anybody who wants to speak.
Please raise your hand.
Join in the fun and the conversation.
Kind of wanted to, I guess, kick it off.
Like I said, it's last year on X.
I, as you know, haven't really been on spaces the way that we used
to.
So I am kind of curious.
I've been doing a lot of podcasts and live streams.
So anyone who wants to kind of, I don't know, chat about what
is the current state of space is.
How are you guys feeling about it?
Has anything in your opinion for those of you who are still
doing it regularly?
What's new?
Is anything different?
Has anything improved?
Are they still, do they still have a purpose?
Are you enjoying them?
Shane, I guess we'll start with you and anybody who wants to jump in.
I'll start with the unicorns and rainbows.
We got Blank and Air.
Blank came up with a cool browser plug in that lets you feed
music into spaces.
He hosts some spaces.
I know I see Travis down there, Ishka hosts spaces.
Probably some of them spaces that have more of your kind of vibe
that were positive.
I mean, spaces in general.
I'll just say it.
I have no qualms about throwing shade on people.
The people that host spaces around the clock with conspiracies
about Eric the Kirk and the Charlie Kirk assassination.
I mean, those spaces just saw it.
Those people are complete morons.
It's like we're not even in America anymore
where you're innocent till proven guilty.
It's just like, hey, I don't like that person.
Let's just say dumb shit about them.
That's what spaces has kind of turned into.
But yeah, there are some good space hosts.
Make sure you're following Blank and Ishka.
I'm sure more people funnel through here.
They host some good spaces.
I see George Santos in their spaces.
So yeah, that's my thought on spaces these days.
Well, that's good to hear.
And I do.
I know I'm sorry for anyone amissing.
I see Blank so nice to see you, Ishka, Alpha.
I mean, I like to hear I'm glad there is still positivity
and all that being brought to the platform.
It sounds like a lot of, you know,
in the whole podcast and live stream world,
I feel like there's so much of that too.
Just with content in general, what you're saying.
Shane and I think there is some fatigue around that
with conspiracy theories and like, you know,
clickbait, ragebait, all that kind of stuff.
What's up, Ishka?
What's up?
Okay, I just wanted to pop in just because,
well, it's glad to see you hosting.
I know you came by the other week,
but it's awesome to see you back at it.
But as far as new for spaces, I think, I don't know,
they did a lot with the Android apps.
So Android users aren't having such a hard time anymore.
They have functionality and a lot of the same things
that the iPhone users have.
But as far as discoverability,
there's still really lacking.
So we're not seeing a lot of new faces anymore
like we used to.
But since they are in the case
and they have been making so many improvements,
it's more like, it feels like 2024 anticipation
of them doing things again and making moves.
So we just really have to stay tight and wait
and keep going and keep it interesting
versus falling to that rabbit hole
and talking about the same thing over and over again.
But just be there for discoverability
when the new faces do come around
and don't get down if people don't show up.
Just stay open and people will find you.
Yeah, I can relate to that too on the,
it feels, I guess the experience here too with spaces
is that I don't know maybe audience,
numbers, viewers are down.
I feel like in the podcast sense,
it's so oversaturated.
I think when I speak to that fatigue,
there's just everyone has a podcast.
And I don't know if, so it just feels like numbers
are down, people are checked out.
I think in general, obviously,
people are frustrated in a lot of ways
with things that are going on.
So yeah, so it sounds like I don't know.
It feels like has it felt like you've gotten any results
or has it just been like waiting
and waiting and waiting the sin tire times?
It feels like we've heard that a lot, right?
On X for days.
It's breaking, where's a lot of waiting?
But I don't know, I think that the space has grown
just based off of continuing to do it.
So when there is a breaking news topic,
we notoriously don't really talk too much about politics,
outside of just facts and letting people know
what is happening and just what's truly going on.
We don't really get too much into opinions,
but when there is breaking news or any type of story,
if we throw up a space, it grows fast
because they know that we've got the people
and they're gonna be coming.
But you just have to go and keep going.
Otherwise you won't be there in option
when there's a breaking news story.
You have to be the option and be available
or else it's not happening.
That, I mean a lot of this is like a test
of patients such as life, right?
It's like just challenges and how you navigate those.
And I think it's, I don't know it,
because I think it can be, I don't know for me,
I don't know if you guys can relate to this.
Sometimes I feel burnout, you know?
And it's like trying to remind yourself of the purpose
and the why and what, you know, the reasons that you do it.
And what, I feel like, I don't know,
that's something I sort of like reflect on a lot as I'm,
either making content or thinking of topics for podcasts.
It sounds kind of like a similar thing for you.
Yeah, I don't know if there's a lot of fatigue, okay?
Whenever I'm burnt out, blank is hosting or stormy.
We just have a great crew between stormy Rachel,
OB and blank, everybody's willing to contribute.
We have a whole chat of people that are willing
to contribute, everybody has different spaces
for their topics.
It really comes down to realizing
that it's not a one person show
and that your space can run
as long as you let other people run it with you.
Yeah, that's a great point.
And just really highlights the importance,
I think of community and support.
And that is something that I definitely always appreciate it
about this group of people and being on spaces
was I did really feel that sense of community.
So even when we were frustrated about things
or we bonded together and had conversations about it
and supported each other.
So, and that's how it can be hard to find.
So having a good group, community support system
of people is so important.
I think that the success of most things on X
come down to trying not to just hear your own voice,
but listening to others and connecting with other people.
Like you're not gonna go anywhere unless you have butts.
So get in there, start the conversation
and make some friends.
That is very good advice.
Yeah, for sure.
Unfortunately, that's, I think a beautiful thing
to keep in mind because I think sometimes people can
not want to listen and be open and hear others.
And it's very like, you know, you're yourself
or you're a message.
So I think that's always a good reminder.
Is there other stuff that other people want to say about?
I don't know, the state of space is things you're enjoying,
things you're still frustrated about or wish would change.
Yes, Mike Mack, what's up?
Notice how I raised my hand like a proper gentleman.
Yeah, you know, I like its faces and I'm taking it myself.
I'm like, look, who am I gonna get in there?
Alpha, savvy, Mandy, Heather.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like what am I gonna do?
I'm gonna sit there and talk to them for 30 hours.
Like what are we doing?
What are we doing with ourselves?
I don't know, Alpha, do you have any kind of,
you got any kind of like breaking news?
You want to make about spaces, bro?
Or?
I'll say this.
You know, one of the things with,
my old life of law enforcement,
there was this thing they taught us in the academy
known as the Broken Window Theory.
And as soon as the window was broken in neighborhood,
you wanted to get it fixed right away.
If not, it was gonna create a standard
and then it was the inevitable destruction of that neighborhood.
And I kind of saw this concept in spaces over the years.
If you allow a disruptor and these things aren't put to rest
quick, like you start to set the expectation of what,
you know, the co-hosts or the host represent for that space.
And I think people forget just because it's a social media
platform where we come on and we do a lot of talk,
like you can actually run it very professionally.
And I think the spaces where I've seen where people have
maintained that, like there's spaces for fun,
but there's a space that's you know, for you know,
something professional, it's your business,
whatever the case may be.
And it's all a tell people just, you know,
keep that in mind as there's a,
you know, a rebirth of spaces because here's the other thing.
You all know I like to tinfoil out around because it becomes true.
Is when you look at the destruction of USAID and national
and downwind, all these NGOs,
not only have we seen the impact on elections,
but we've seen a lot of voices just kind of disappear
from social media platforms.
Is that a coincidence maybe?
Or maybe there were some other entities
and people that were at play on this app.
And are you saying it's the Jews?
Alpha, like are you kicking it off?
I am not saying that.
There's a lot of spaces that are saying that.
I'm just saying I'm just going it out there.
Let's have every listen.
There's spaces that are going to say it's the Jews,
there's Jews that are going to say that.
Listen, bad people come in all religions, all colors,
all shapes, all sizes, all genders,
and there's only two.
At the end of the day, there's just bad people
and there's good people.
And what I think what people have started
to realize over the last few years is even people that we might
not have the same approach to things,
we're starting to realize who had the same mission.
Like who was still about trying to save our country?
And a lot of us had lateral relationships
with people on these things that we thought were,
on the right side of certain issues.
And we've all seen that people just weren't who we thought they were.
And what we're seeing now is we're starting to see,
the cream of the crop has risen.
And I'm starting to see, I spent a lot of time in the tunnels,
because I've always, I've utilized spaces for me personally.
It's just I go in there to see, what's the questions people have?
What's kind of trending?
And this just kind of helps me build my content for the podcast
that I do.
I've always used spaces as more like just to gather information.
But that's just kind of my take.
I see a bunch of you guys in here.
I appreciate Shane sending the invite.
Me and Shane, we've been on some, you know,
Fisticuffs quite a few times in these spaces.
But you know what?
I still work in hard.
And I can respect that.
And I can see he's one of the people I'm talking about that.
We may not have seen eye to eye on some things.
But I do see that he is fighting for this country.
And I can respect that no matter where it's coming from.
And I just want to remind people, you know,
think about that.
You know, we let our ego and pride get in the way a lot of times.
And if people are out there fighting for this country, then,
then help them out.
Even if you don't agree if they're fighting for this country,
help them out.
Well, to be fair, you know,
I was going to hard block you for life, but Barbie, you know,
she's not one of those people that wants to like block somebody.
She'd rather just, you know, focus on the ideologies.
And that's the reason I didn't block you, man,
for what it's worth because after all that,
I mean, anybody that pushed any of those like fake docks
is against Barbie.
I just went down the list and started blocking them all.
And she's like, don't block them.
I blocked Alpha before it doesn't work for some reason.
It gets through the freaking.
I don't know.
We get to do that little maze thing alpha.
Hold on a second.
I want to ask you a quick question since I've since I've taken over Angela space.
Um, that, are you still enjoying spaces, though?
Like, because, and I've given you three seg ways to kind of maybe talk about a little something you and I talked about, but.
