We are in a so-and-so
And wake away from tradition
When we be out
We're this full of you that
We wanna believe how we wash it out
Throw it till it burns out
Turn it till it burns out
I can not come off with these signs
Everybody here
Everybody here
Let's get into it
Get stoned
Get started
Get started
Get started
Let's get it started
Let's get it started
Let's get it started
Move control
A body of soul
Throw it to fast
We'll just take a slow
Don't get in the head
To jump into it
Got hit a body
Easy to do it
Welcome to the conservative hour everybody
I hope everybody's having a good day
I hope if you haven't voted already
That's your plan to do it before the day is over
Today is election day
Today is the day that if you actually
If you're an American
You should be excited
Because this is a chance
That this is when your voice gets to be heard
May and Marissa voted last night
I was cussing
Because all the stupid
Asked fucking questions that we have
Where it's just like
Yeah, let's just spend more money
That we don't have
Yeah, let's keep doing it
So
But today I wanted to talk about
Not just the election
But there's some conversations
That I think we
I definitely want to have after this election
Just about
Politics in general
But also about the Republican party
Feel like we are going in
A whole bunch of different directions
And I feel like there's a lot of button heads
But not a lot of real good conversation
And I think there's some policy things
Because I think that there's more stuff
That unites us but we spend so much time
Talking about the things that divide us
And I don't find that to be very productive
But I'm going to stop pontificating
Get these awesome hosts in
Why so salty?
How are you today?
I am great.
Hello everybody.
You know, I was reminded of a motto
That we used to use in the space
And it came to my mind today
And it's this
The conservative hour
Where we peel back the layers
Look past the headlines
And wrestle with the mess of it all
And I think that's what we do here
We try to dig deep, have conversations
That you won't find on other spaces
And hopefully find common ground
We don't do that a lot
We know I don't know that we ever will
But you know, we do appreciate all the different voices
We appreciate all the support
From just everyone
Our OGs, the ones that have been here with us recently
And today is midterm day
Voting day
We have been talking about this for two years
And it's finally arrived
Kind of melancholy about it
Not sure where we're going to be in the next few months
But whatever it's going to be
We will survive.
I know we will survive.
I voted red.
I went down the ticket red
Happily did so
And I hope you all did as well
Or going to go out and vote today
And let's just stick together
Because at the end of the day
Is the people that matter
And we're the ones that can change
The direction of our country if we choose to
And are really the ones that can tolerate it
And stick with the norms
So I think we're the ones that matter
Not the politicians
And I'm really happy to be a conservative
Well said.
Well said. I think we lost Chris for a second
Because this app is trash
So we will go to brother locks
Good afternoon brother locks. How are you doing?
I'm doing good.
Nate, salty. Everybody was going on.
Well, my victory day started early early
Late last night, early this morning
Because the bears they whooped on Seattle
And Seattle there's a champs
And we went to Seattle and we whooped them
So that's very happy for us. I'm glad we got that win
And yeah, after I'm done with work
I'm going to go vote even though
I'm in Illinois and Illinois is nothing but blue
Well, it's basically Chicago
Chicago's always blue. Illinois
Been blue for like
What, past like 25 years
Something like that. I don't even know
Yeah, less Republican
Governor we had was browner
And that was like back in like 02
And that was like, I don't know
Governor we had was browner
And that was like back in like 02
But I'm going to go do my duty after my work
And yeah, we'll take it from there
And like I said, I encourage everybody
Make sure you guys go vote. Doesn't matter who you vote for
I think the day we're still Americans
And yeah, that's it.
All right.
Yes, brother Chris, since we lost you, what are you doing?
How are you doing?
Yeah, I was doing great until I tried to click on something
And this freaking app crashed like usual
I don't know what you're doing. I want to know your business. What are you doing?
I'm relaxing right now, but I'm going to go vote here
After the space. And then I had got some errands to run.
Look, I'm not excited about today. I'm sorry. I'm a little blackpilled.
I've been blackpilled for a while.
With the voters in this country the way politics run.
You guys have heard some of it in this space.
I just I'm tired of it. Like I mean, we're probably going to lose this
I'm just blackpilled. So I'm just not hoping this.
Get out and vote vote for your best candidate.
But I'm blackpilled at people in our own party. I'm blackpilled at the consensus of people in general that like that's why we have shifts in these elections so drastically because we don't have people that are actively involved in politics.
And they just go with what they hear in the news like I'm tired of possibly losing my governor's race today because of the Iran war and
Terrible.
And they're not the ones that they hear in the news like I'm tired of possibly losing my governor's race today because of the Iran war and
Terros and my governor had nothing to do with that.
Actually passed some good policy in the bottom.
Yeah, we do need to talk about the Republican party and that's fine.
But we also need to talk about the voters in this country.
It's a shit show. They're just going to keep playing us.
And I mean, like if you look at the problems like you know that a lot of Americans are voting for like higher prices and
this and that Democrats aren't this way that that's the thing that that's not the solution voting for higher prices and people that are bad on
energy policy doesn't make anything better.
So I do really don't know how we fix this at all. It just seems like we just shifted on a whim.
I'm really frustrated about a lot of this stuff.
I'm tired of I'm tired of hearing about oh, I'm just going to I'm going to teach my party a lesson.
No, you're not teaching the party a lesson.
What you're going to do is get power to the other side instead of fixing your stuff internally and most of people that are supposedly teaching teaching your party a lesson didn't even participate in the
fucking primaries.
And it's lazy. It's laziness. It's a lazy people that only vote that certain times a day they don't participate in their primaries.
They don't try to vet better candidates or they don't run themselves right up.
They don't be it. They're not a part of their local.
It's not going to be good next two years if the Democrats gain the gain the house which it looks like they're going to for what I'm seeing.
So we're going to see just another shit show Congress of impeachment symbol shit nothing's going to get past it's going to be a big shit show going into 28.
And it is what it is. So yes, I am very black bill today.
I sound like a negative Nancy, but hopefully some people can surprise me and we can pull it out, but just don't like the numbers on soon.
May I may I jump in?
I was just going to tell you to go ahead and thank you Chris. I hear you.
But see I'm more upset with our leaders because to me being a leader is about serving and supporting a team.
Rather than holding authority authority over them and if we if the voters aren't actually getting up to go vote.
Wouldn't it be also up to our politicians and our leaders to take responsibility for that and get out there and lead their team.
Now I understand that we have some complacent voters and I hear you.
But I think for me personally Chris how I'm looking at it's this I want to take the focus of the people and stop blaming the people and put the problem and the responsibility on where it falls into me.
That's our Republican Party the GOP the messaging the way that we they just handled so many things.
And the over the last several years many years the complacency to get in line refusing to listen to us.
Even some people I've been listening to on the app as of late that helped in campaigns are yelling at voters are dismissing voter concerns.
Tabitha was in a space the other day talking to one and he wouldn't even answer the question and flipped it on her voter that was asking a sincere question.
To me that's a problem and that's what we're dealing with even when we took concerns about Ron DeSantis I'm going back I'm over Ron DeSantis this is not what this is about.
But we took concerns about the GOP seemed like to many of us favorite Donald Trump and came out when we felt like they should have been unbiased and let the voters decide.
We were just having a genuine conversation we were told all of the primaries over getting on we don't have to hear you anymore.
To me that's a problem therefore we're turning all perspective voters not listening to them addressing their issues and taking care of our communities.
This way it just trickles down and I think it's who we get the money out of politics.
There are so many problems that I just refuse to blame the voters anymore I'm going to blame the GOP and our party but that's where I'm at Chris but I don't deserve to be where you're at.
Give me a second to respond everybody and then we will definitely get to hands.
So I see some of your points and yes politicians definitely are to blame but it's the voters the voters are the people that vote the voters are the people that don't understand policy the voters are the what idiots think if you vote for a Democrat for some reason your energy bills going to go down.
Like here's that's my problem it's like if you want to talk real politics and stuff that's fine and I'm good with that and I you we can talk policy and there's definitely things that Republicans promise that they failed on and that's fine we can talk about that but to think that all your things are going to get fixed because you're going to put a Democrat office has no good energy policy and they're looking at fucking California's energy rates like Tim knows that that's what happens when when Democrats get in charge everything is a yeah I don't look because you don't want to talk about that.
I don't look because you don't want to because it's horrible and that's what you're putting in the power because you just think you think that's the better alternative hold your own party is accountable and primaries or vote for at least the good Republicans you're just going to sit at out because of the Iran war and and terrorists when you have like state offices and representation you're going to lose because you're sitting at home being a dumbass like I'm tired of it like hold everybody accountable I agree and it's not just I mean it's basically the Republicans.
I don't know I'm actually pretty worked up so I'm going to calm down for a second because I'm pretty in a bad mood today and now let's get some of these hands.
No, I'm sorry I'm tired of just blaming the politicians.
Don't just fall in the class.
No, no, please.
No, but I know but let me finish my point please.
It's the people the people are just as much to blame as the shitty politicians because our people don't hold the politicians accountable anymore.
At all.
No primaries.
But what is that fix we've been doing that for you?
What does it fix to vote for the other party just because your party doesn't know?
No, I didn't say that.
I don't want to put it red.
Okay, I hear you I understand but moving forward if we're going to wake up tomorrow in this next month and we're we're blue now holding the people accountable is not going to fix anything.
It never has.
We people are at their their pissed off their dissolution.
They're tired of being ignored.
They want to be represented.
I mean even looking at the Republican umbrella.
All the factions that have brought in our personal struggles the economy.
I mean talking about everything we're not being heard.
Now I'm with you.
I'm going to vote red.
But when I hear the voters saying I am no longer supporting this I don't blame them either.
They don't feel like they're represented.
And this is the reason I love this space is because Chris and I can have this back and forth and you know we can actually have this conversation.
But to me leadership is it fought to me the ones that that we vote for the ones that are responsible they're it fought.
They're the ones that should go out make a difference and start representing the people in the country.
They don't.
Here's the problem.
Hold on.
I'm almost done.
Yeah but you're you're missing hold on.
I'm almost done.
I promise.
No I'm sorry but I'm almost done.
So until we can have them because if we lose tomorrow like you said and we just blame all the voters nothing changes.
Then are elected officials that we've been complaining about are going to go out and continue to do the same thing they've done and nothing changes.
So can we not do both Chris?
Can we not hold them accountable to and really.
But here's here's my problem is that your people are losing elections like my governor is in a fight today and might lose and he's done nothing but good for the last couple of years.
He's going to lose because of idiot voters that are listening to the Iran war and terror narrative for a state governor.
That is idiotic and pathetic and stupid you are more on you think a state governor controls that and that's who's voting that's who's going to vote.
Those are the independence don't follow politics are literally falling campaign commercials.
Okay now we can argue policy but you have to have an educated voter vote based actually argue fucking policy with or they fall for TV commercials.
I am so tired of it that I'm going to lose my governor possibly because of morons that don't even understand politics and I'm frustrated by it.
And I'm not saying everybody like there's people out there with real concerns like when they look at their food and grocery prices.
I understand that but you need to understand the root of what that is and stop voting casting a vote in a governor's race based on fucking terrorists in the Iran war.
It's pissing me the hell off.
Okay last comment then we're going to hands but wouldn't it be up to your governor then to know this and to go out and tell the people.
I hear you campaign on it.
