I was victory and I was
Ia, um, oh, mam, ni, thank you very much. Good morning, mam.
Yeah.
Yes. Um, so, uh, Konwagakwiza and I are members of the violence academy,
which is a forum for free speech absolutism.
Uh, the main rally in cry for the academy is that, um,
we face a crisis in our governance that arises from a conflict that is inherited through colonial relics or, you know,
legacies of colonialism, one of them being that they stole our language.
So we have to do leadership in English, um, in law, but even the English reuse that laws we use are corrupted.
Um, there's not enough space in our education system to fully master both English and law, um,
and truly give them to the people so that they can exercise their autonomy.
So what happens is that our authority, all forms of authority are transacted through the English language,
including, you know, the teaching of law, the making of law, the enforcement of law, the judgment of law, the identification of law,
the enforcement of law. So that means for most people for the ordinary citizen operation, exploitation, tyranny, abuse,
has, you know, law authoritarians misconvade through law and English.
And, and those who have monotony or monopoly, privilege of a law and English occupy such huge space in our people's lives.
Um, and almost always use it for.
But so in trying to tackle authoritarians and at a deeper level, you know, removing the dictate and everything,
we tend to forget that there's actually something laughing at us in the blood stream of how we do our politics.
Uh, that we haven't conquered the colonized language, we haven't decolonized our hierarchies that we are established and imposed on our people.
And until that happens, we are going to have problems. So the biggest problem is, uh, for violence academy is that power and the people, uh, have to win the war over, you know, language.
So our deal, Dr. Sterenianzi, our deputy deal, uh,
I've been victims of authoritarians fighting back in saying, oh, you will not liberate the people through mastery of language.
The system fights back and not just, uh, for more official power, all forms of power, cultural power, religious power, school power, individuals, even friends, families, they all find themselves fighting and uniting against you simply because, oh, you've found liberation.
And you're encouraging others to liberate themselves simply through, you know, taking liberty with language.
And I try and take many forms. So taking liberty, the language is known as the most subversive form, subversive activity on this post colonized.
So there are many laws to restrict language, especially language that challenges, um, uh, structure, hierarchies, powers, uh, you know,
eras is of respect, ability, and so on and so forth. So, so we are encouraged to only use that language that enhances promote civility, niceness, politeness, weakness, um, you know, weakness, and so on and so forth.
Um, if, if, if, if you, even when you are a victim, you are required to do it, you know, follow that path. But, um, our movement disagrees and says are people have to liberate through language.
And there's a doctrine. So I come in as the principal because, of course, I'm the dictator. I am a lawyer. I have, I have master English. I come from the oppressor class, so to speak.
Uh, but, uh, I have paid my sins. I have made my apologies. I have been of service to both the deputy deal and the, the dean in supporting them through their challenges. So I, I will offer class, we offer random occasional classes to explain our doctrine properly.
Um, the simplest way of explaining it is justifying the right to insult.
Uh, the insult as being the check on power. The insult in central in law is a really guided protected, celebrated.
Uh, that is, but that is in the jurisdictions that have, have had fights over, um, language, uh, the Germany, and that is in the almost always in the global north for them in France, in England, in America, they are really going to walk over ideas and philosophy and, you know,
uh, and they have agreed that you know, as to stop all these wars and to encourage the pursuit of happiness and democracy, we must guarantee.
As an absolute right, a right freedom of expression, which in simplest terms means a right to be insulted if you take upon public office, even you achieve public status.
Uh, you need to be reminded that, uh, the most, uh, spring being is the individual who has autonomy to think and speak as freely as possible, even if what they say is offending, embarrassing, disgusting, harmful and unacceptable and political.
That is the cost of democracy. So now when we come to the globe, self, our leaders across the board, um, still they like the prestige and status of being English speakers of being, you know, off sitting on this colonial front, but they don't accept that the purpose is to promote is to enjoy the same path to freedom of democracy.
So they, we work against each other this way. So, um, most people, but they find themselves as victims are repeating, uh, the language of power.
Uh, for, um, repeating mantra as they picked up in the mission school complex, without knowing that, um, it's a danger.
So that's the violence academy. Um, most recently our biggest project has been to help, uh, explain the alloy kin, uh, praise, apology moment in terms of our discourse, a citizen discourse with power.
Uh, we have put her on a throne rightfully so she was our ex-dynamina for the period between October 28th, September 28th and October 14th when she was released.
She visited the radical new bar headquarters as she can recite a house. Um, only I think.
So, that was the, a few days ago, um, to receive her flowers, uh, and, uh, and to give her assessment of our faith and fidelity to all to her and all political prisoners.
Uh, I think she gave us two marks. Uh, that's what that's the report I received. I hope she's around to, uh, speak at some point.
So, um, uh, there was a demand that one of the programs, uh, a conversation with Carcuienser continues as a series because, uh, Carcuienser, uh, really was the first in time. I guess he has that iconic status of being the first to bang the cabbage.
Uh, and since we are the system of banging the cabbage, um, we, we have to build our own power, uh, our own, um, our legacies and stories and we shouldn't let everything be stolen from us.
So, our experience is our treasured. Uh, and so Carcuienser's story was a very, very difficult story to get. It possibly put a great toll on me. Um, I think, um, among many reviewers, uh, Nora Oragah, who has made articles for me.
Um, I think my team, uh, who have made the courts and posters to put the story out. I liked the, um, the dramatization, um, over very real, um, moment of trauma for Carcuienser.
Um, um, but Carcuienser is the most resilient person, uh, in our generation, uh, for standing for principle over power.
And this is not putting on a pedestal because it's a man who duplicates himself a lot, uh, through, um, his written, his unauthor who is, uh, which a number of stories, um, sharing with us.
Um, his life is thought sometimes in fiction, sometimes in reality. So we are in the universe, I guess. So people like the Carcuienser universe, I guess the story can't be completed once.
Um, so in preparing the second series, um, something uneven happened, a fellow citizen, um, my bonge, Lieutenant Herbert, my bonge, situation, uh, came on to all our, our, our alerts.
Um, and in fact, even having the no gyro Carcuienser series, we didn't know how far to go. So in reviewing part one, which I encourage you to go and find some, I think we should put in the link.
It was acknowledged that, um, ever since Carcuiensers, miraculously, escape, uh, in 2022, escape from really the worst, the worst treatment, um, a country can give this citizen.
Um, a number of,
