I'm gonna sing up, but let me scream on a 9.4.9.
To stroke my knee.
I'll let the wind, but baby, it wants to roll with me.
Rooms are boots on, climbs in a tree.
Huck in her hair in my hat, and she's ready to go.
And we get to hunt and we love that every day.
That's the prayer book, Grace.
Thank God he made me this way, anybody.
I'm getting ready to run, it's not a real thing.
I'm getting ready to run.
All right, good morning and morning.
Everybody welcome the conservative hour.
Well, don't worry guys, we'll get you up here in a second.
Today we're going to talk about patriotism in general.
And what does it mean to be a patriot?
Is it picking a political side?
Is it a straight constitutionalist?
Is it just love in America?
When she's perfect or not perfect?
I think it's a conversation we need to have because I see a lot of people with the word
patriot in their bios.
But I'm not saying I have the perfect definition myself, but I believe I'm a patriot.
I believe red, white, blue.
Maybe sometimes even too much.
I could admit that.
But I love this country.
It's hard sometimes, you know, with when we look at political corruption and on both sides,
we cook a lot of a lot of things we've had to deal with in our history.
But America is still the greatest country on earth and I have no problems saying that I love it.
Even though it's not a perfect country, we are the greatest country.
So let's get to my host first.
Nathan, how you doing, buddy?
I'm good. Great topic.
Before we get to that topic, I have to say I'm a little excited because the Ravens just traded for this center
from the eagle.
So I am multitasking.
I'm trying to get all this information.
Apparently we just got two-time pro bowl center.
So I'm giddy.
But as far as patriotism.
I see a solid.
Yeah, dude, yeah, exactly.
But as far as patriotism and our ward is here too, by the way.
I agree with you.
There are a lot of people that claim patriotism.
I'm not sure if what they're claiming is actually real.
Patriotism doesn't matter who the president is.
You love America regardless.
Patriotism, it has nothing to do with your party being in power.
You should love America no matter what.
And patriotism isn't something just because you puff your chest out that doesn't mean you're a patriot.
The senting people do our patriots as well.
But I think this is a great conversation because I'm so curious to hear what all of our amazing listeners have to say.
And Lauren, that's 15 to merits for being late.
You're pushing it, young lady.
Now she's done all right.
She actually informed me.
She'd be late.
So I appreciate her showing up.
OK.
Don't appreciate the jersey even though I helped her with the profile picture.
But anyways, Lauren, how you doing today?
How do you feel?
How are you feeling?
And what do you feel about this topic?
Yeah, you wouldn't have made it if you didn't approve.
So it's very real.
I am driving.
I'll be home in like 20 minutes.
But the topic.
I'm just going off the title.
You know, I'm a little behind.
And I didn't hear a criss-cross here.
I mean, I'm just curious here.
Initial thoughts.
I only heard in the event.
But so what it means to be a patriot.
I think that is a, I mean, it's kind of a hard question, but it's also not.
Like I think anybody who loves this country is proud to be an American,
like through and through.
And puts love of country above everything else.
I feel like it's pretty patriotic.
Obviously people that serve our country are, you know, extremely patriotic.
Yeah, I mean, sorry, I need to read the right up.
And then I'll just be listening for the next 20 minutes.
I don't want to get pulled over.
As far as how I'm feeling, you can hear it's like still.
My voice still sounds like shit.
I don't know what's going on.
I'm finally not congested.
But my throat hurts.
So, but I feel good.
Yeah, I think you should get lucky some antibiotics as well.
So that you guys can clear up the sickness.
I'm just waiting because he can talk about the plague and it's like it.
Probably.
But just real quick, I know we're doing a patriotic space.
I do want to give a just a moment of.
I don't know how to even put it in the words, but for the people that lost their lives.
On October 7th.
I just want to throw those people out there and their family members and just say that.
God, God, God bless to those people that are doing dealing with that.
And hopefully they're a minute.
Though they're a lot.
They're loved ones losses is an in vain.
And that's all I'm going to say on that.
We can do that for another time.
But I would just one of those people to be honored.
Just like I appreciate people that honor Americans when they.
During 9, 11.
So I'll show the appreciation to one of our allies.
So anyways, bad day for a lot of people.
There's a couple of my friends on here that didn't want to message me and didn't want to come to the space today just because they're dealing with.
I didn't even know that family ties over there, but to some of the losses.
So anyway, it's just wanted to give a shout out to that.
But let's get some of these hands and then we'll get rolling.
So I see brother locks first.
Let's go to locks and then we'll go to one of one Mike and then Maria.
Mary.
Hey Chris Nathan Lauren.
I hope you feel better.
Everybody on the space.
What's going on? Hope everybody having a good day.
Nathan, yeah, I saw that.
I just got that alert right when you said it, but the.
About the center. Good moves for Baltimore.
Hopefully the.
The March Jackson.
He plays, but um.
Yeah, being a being a.
Patriot. I mean.
I always love the always love our country.
I know there's a lot going on between.
Oh, I'm not going to vote.
I'm not going to do this.
Like I said, if you're.
American, you love this country.
You go vote.
You make a voice for yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's.
Trump, Biden, in office.
I know we're not going to have a agree with everybody agree with him or her.
But you know, as as the commander in chief, we supposed to like be there for our country.
And you know, back up his distance.
Whether you like it or not, no matter who's in office, don't forget this is our home.
You know, and like I said, oh, I'm a Democrat.
I'm this on that.
Honestly, like it doesn't matter.
You know, nobody's perfect.
Nobody's going to always agree with it.
But always, you know, show.
You know, have respect for the.
I mean, don't forget this commander in chief.
We don't get a rule.
We don't agree with the rules of this country, but you know what?
We still are the best country in the world.
Shout out to all the military veterans out there protecting us for have let in us have this freedom.
They're they're the best and a shout out to the people that lost.
Other lives innocent victims on October 7th.
There was a bad.
Sad day, just like how we we had our 9 11.
So hopefully all the families will grieve and hopefully will this will ever happen again.
And today's a big day.
Hopefully my wife sucks will close it off.
Sorry, Chris and Nathan, you know, I have to come back to baseball no matter what is.
But hey, baseball is America's past time.
So there we go.
That's it.
I'll be back in later.
No, you make good points.
And I'm I feel the love for the country.
I guess I this is going to be part of this conversation.
It's so.
I don't know about everybody in this room, but I actually are always respect the commander in chief.
Doesn't mean I always agree with a commander in chief, right?
So I think that's the difference.
I mean, our politicians are supposed to be the people and our constitution.
So I always I always respect.
I even respected Biden or even respected, you know, some of these people that I didn't.
I didn't like a lot of their policies.
I'd never wished bad on them.
I was quick to call them out and they made mistakes.
But we should always be quick to call them out when they do good as well.
So I think that's what it means to be a patriot is to.
And that's one of the main reasons I want to do this space.
It's that being a patriot in my opinion is.
So when that loves our constitution, you love your states.
You love the country, but you always want the country to be better.
So we just can't go along to get along.
Right.
So if things are going bad, then it needs to be called up.
That's just my opinion.
Let's get to the conversation.
Yeah, that's what I meant to say Chris.
Another thing I want to add, like, you know, like even if you don't support Trump or.
Or whoever's in office, whether you're a public or a Democrat, like, um, like I'm saying, like, say.
Say if we do get up under attack, no matter whose president we should stick by the president.
And like, you know, trust his decisions and be together, you know, I feel like right now we're all divided.
Which I don't think that's that's right.
We should wear one nation like.
Under God, we're one country and we should all.
I mean, yeah, nobody's going to agree with everybody, but I mean, we should all like stick together because you never know.
God forbid it is something happens.
Like when 9-11 happened, we all, I felt like everybody came together.
You know what I mean?
And we stood behind Bush.
Even when you like Bush or not, but we were all together.
And now I feel like, you know, we're divided, but we shouldn't be divided and we should not wait for something bad to happen.
Again, we should always be like that.
Yeah, of course, we're going to disagree.
Not that's what I really want to say.
No, fair enough.
Let's get to my host first.
We'll go Nathan, then Lauren and then we'll go to 101 Mike.
Marie, Mary and then RJ.
Go ahead.
Yeah, what you were saying about also October 7th for all those people who lost loved ones made their memories be a blessing to you, losing people sucks, but losing people in that way.
I can't imagine all the pain and suffering that they've gone through.
When you talk about who the president was, I was with you.
I don't care whether Biden was the president.
I still respected him as the president because he's the commander in chief.
And regardless of whether I voted for him or not, he's the guy.
What frustrates me to no end is that I hear so much criticism of all of our politicians.
And sometimes when I listen, I don't think that I think this more about the team jersey than about the country.
And I feel like too often the jerseys matter more than the country.
And I'm like, damn, the jerseys, the people are what matter the most.
And he gets so frustrating, but I'm going to zip it so Lauren can talk and so we can get to these hands.
But yeah, I have plenty to say.
I'm sure.
Yeah, I just want to add a quick point that, um, yeah, I agree.
I agree with, I think, locks, that was very well said to.
But yeah, I agree with it.
I just wanted to add knowing our history.
I don't know why this is like came to me, but like knowing the history of our country,
like is also, I think, a very patriotic thing to do.
Like I remember in high school civics, like just learning about what makes our government system different than everybody else is.
Like understanding that we are a constitutional, um, and how we don't have like a direct democracy.
Why are this different than everybody's and I honestly love that like the fact that we are the United States.
Like, you know, the EU has their thing, but we are the United States and we are self-governing, self-governing states.
I mean, it's honestly, I just love that about America.
I think we should be, you know, history and I do try to like read books about our history and our time to do so.
So it really is awesome.
Yeah, honestly, um, I think that's something that needs to be pushed in school more or way they way they teach history and school isn't the same.
And it almost turns into political teachings versus actual historical teachings.
Now, I do recommend when you when you when you do study history, look at it from some different perspectives,
because even if you don't agree with like I read the Howard Zens book, the history of the history of America book.
I didn't agree with a lot of his takes, but it's good to see it coming from different views so you can kind of form your own view.
So that's the only I recommend with history.
It is sucks when certain districts or whatnot push history in one way and set a present in it as a whole with multiple opinions.
All right, let's get some of these these wonderful hands one on one how you know the pack of fans to Gaza.
Hey, Chris, congratulations on your is it for a note for the Niners? That's pretty good.
I was hoping that the Raiders could be there.
I you know what I have to say I enjoyed the way my team played offense defense played well.
It wasn't for that special teams thing. I think we could have been doing well, but of course I lost my voice anyways anyways.
Nathen, congratulations on your center.
The transfer that's pretty good. Lauren, I have no idea what your team did because I was just like.
I blew up my voice and I tried to just drink a lot of coffee and hot water and repair it for karaoke, which failed.
So tonight is a true test. Now I'll be singing a tribute to our friends lost on October 7th, whether you news people out there or not.
It's another example of terrorist attacks as someone who has lost friends that terrorist attacks from France and multiple countries at this point.
It's painful and you can see the pain that even three years doesn't matter.
You know Benghazi, New York, 93, back to the client, all these plates, Charlie Hebdo, you know I knew a guy from there.
It is a painful.
Interversaries are a painful reminder sometimes, but hopefully healing happens in time does help in community does help.
And if you have family with you to get through the tough times, um, try your best.
And I do think that it's a great question you posed, Chris Nathan Lauren about the the Patriot question. Now I do a words podcast hyper focus on words and mocking the manipulation and the woke usage of words, but Patriot is something I don't think I've ever put it in my profile bio, but love of country.
I think Nathan made a good idea thing about sports. You know there's the sports coaching and is it a metaphor analogy where they say it's about the team name on the jersey.
I don't want the back of the shirt. It's.
