But you know the first thing I kind of wanted to just ask out loud briefly is you know as the midterm voting has started in so many states already. I mean I would say like the last week or two weeks actually because we missed a week but I mean it just seems to me that the GOP is like deliberately trying to lose the midterms at this point. I mean some of the things that have been said and some actions that have been taken just leave me shaking my head. And the one that I'm sure probably nobody who's following news in this country political news has been able to miss is of course the Vivek Ramaswami ad. Now he's running in Ohio for... God what is it? Is he running for governor? Yeah governor. Yeah so he's running against Amy Acton who is an MD. And she if I'm not mistaken she's the one who came out a couple of weeks ago suddenly having supposedly a change of heart about the issues of you know medicalizing children or whatever. But I think you know among a lot of us there's a great suspicion that this is the old you know Abigail Spanberger school where it's like pretend to be more middle of the road to get yourself elected. And then afterwards go ha ha fool you I'm going back to who I really am. So anyway be that as it may. I don't know some really bright people in the Ramaswami camp decided to put out this ad attacking her. And if by any chance you haven't seen it maybe because you're you're down under in Australia and you've got enough things that you're grappling with there or you're tied up with other things in life. It's it's a video of Amy Acton's very elderly mother basically saying Amy's a liar and don't believe her. And of course immediately afterwards what came out or what was brought even more to the fore was that Amy and her brother accused the mothers. I don't know if she was actually married to him or if they were quote unquote just partners so to speak but whoever it is the man that was not Amy and her brother's father but a stepfather figure. Shall we say that the mother was involved with was accused of abuse of both of the children. Oh brilliant. Do you know what let me just move to another room first. They are right outside my window. I'm so sorry. So you know all I could think was and I have seen Megan Kelly actually do a video recently bringing up some other instances of comments that Amy Acton has made or claims that she's made that seem to be very over exaggerated and would strain credibility. Shall we say regardless of that I just think this is such a bad look even if it was true and you know my first instinct is always especially in a case like this to believe the person making the accusation in this case a woman. And you know even if there was that like tiniest less than 1% chance that this was a lie. I just I don't understand why would you want to pick this fight and it's also it's just such a it's such a ski v video you know and and the mother is quite elderly now. You know it's just it to me it's just I really have to shake your head and go like what the hell were they thinking and then it pushed several Republicans to actually double down and go yeah well you know bloody blah whatever I still support the back or whatever there are others who come out and said like dude this is such a bad look what the after you thinking. And of course the Democrats have had a great time just you know a field day on this and I just honestly I don't understand and I mean listen I'm not a registered Republican. But of course I have become a lot more Republican friendly in the years since I've peaked because they seem to be the only ones willing to enact legislation I mean gradually thank God we are seeing a handful of Democrats and I mean like you could count them pretty much on one hand maybe two hand. And maybe two hands and still have fingers left over Democrats a few who have stuck their head up above the parapet to you know to say yeah you know boys and girls sports not such a great idea. But you know I just I look at this and I'm like I don't know why you would do this and you know he had a chance Rama Swami had a chance upfront when you could see that this was all going you know T over a downhill into like the biggest mess. Possible he could have come out and said you know I realize whatever you know throw somebody on his team from the marketing department or whatever under the bus or whatever you would kind of do. But no he doubled down and it's just like you know like what's that thing when you're digging the hole just keep digging I mean honestly okay peach I've said my bit you go ahead please. Yeah I just wanted to say it this isn't just a phenomenon work experience I think it's globally that we had we've handed the opposition to the liberal governments and when I say liberal I mean left around the world we've handed their opposition everything they need to put in a platform no men and women's prisons no men and women's sports. No men and women's single sex spaces there's case after case after case around the world and we've handed it to them and none of them have made this a major part of their platform the only time. That they ever bring it up is when it's something that they can it's a flashing that it's the 24 hour news cycle something's caught everyone's attention and they can point a finger at the Democrats. And I think that is like I don't understand that so you're talking about this ad that ad doesn't surprise me in today's political climate like think of the the low bar to actually run for politician at a federal level these days you could be didn't we have a woman who was on only fans right so it's like you can do that bar is so low that it's not going to be a real deal. So that it that ad I don't think will affect things one way or the other I really don't but I do think that we are slow I just I'm not saying that the Republicans don't haven't done anything what I'm saying is they could have done so much more to affect their individual districts by coming out strongly against especially if they're in a district that has one of these prisons right or has girls that have been affected it wouldn't be that hard and they're not doing it and I don't understand why because we know that the this is the especially the sports is an 80 20 issue and I don't think enough of the general public know about what's going on in prisons. And I just think that we I'm frustrated because I think it their effort to support women was half-hearted at best and that's just my opinion I mean I just and this isn't just our conservatives this is everywhere conservatives right or the lake who was it the one nation party in Australia is blood. And I think that the block and women who are asking can the candidates are blocking women who are asking where they stand on the trans issue right it's it's everywhere and I think there's a problem in the UK with the conservatives and the reform party too about not really want to talk about it unless it serves their purpose. So I mean I think we're all stuck between a rock and a hard place right now with this and the only thing that we know for sure is is that the left isn't on our side that's the only thing that we're sure of so yeah I know that was a little bit more than that but I just think it all plays in together. Yeah, no I think you bring up some great points there and interestingly enough and Jenny we're going to get to you right next there was I think it was maybe last Friday. I think punchball actually got into a whole big discussion on this there's a guy named Patrick who is a Democrat who joins the space quite often their space and you know they let him talk a lot and there's a lot of back and forth and he's liberal Democrat from Massachusetts etc and I think what kind of kicked it off was he said something like the typical you know this is 0.08% of whatever I'm sorry I don't mean to be making fun of him you know he has he has some good points and you know at least he's he's he's man enough to come in and to a room full of conservatives and have a discussion with them you know Lord knows we know the other way around we'd be blocked and kicked out immediately but you know he did he was saying that the thing that we always hear this is only you know 0.8% of you know of 1% and you know why you know I think you make such a big thing out of this and it turns people off and whatever and they you know the rest of the room actually it got heated for a moment and they actually did boot them because the punchball thing is always like you know this is on when people are sometimes driving their kids to or from school let's keep the language clean at least and but there was a bit of a discussion of some people felt like you know I think maybe we do kind of harp on this too much and you know people people don't care they don't understand it it's the whole thing we know as church right that it's like you know the minute you find someone who's slightly open to hearing your thoughts on this it's really hard not to just vomit out every fact about disgusting AGPs and all the rest of it right but anyway but no there were other people in the group came up and said and and they were mainly they were men actually they were all men saying no this is a really you know nefarious thing that is you know tearing apart even though it doesn't seem like it a lot of elements of our society et cetera et cetera et cetera so anyway I you know I do think you've you've got some you've got some points there peach okay Jenny and then we'll move on to Chris Jenny welcome good morning out there and study California good morning yeah I was just going to say what you just said I'm from Massachusetts I have family and friends in Massachusetts I'm there quite a bit at least twice a year and yeah like the the Democrats really believe that there is such a thing as trans people and they really believe that you know these people were born in the wrong body and they're being supported by the media I mean you know hunt doesn't it's not an accident that we're seeing all these you know tweets and about hunter shaffer and you know it's not an accident that he's being plastered only separate magazines is because they're selling a lifestyle and the younger generation is just swallowing it you know they they they're not questioning it and whenever I talk to my dad about this he he agrees that you know that there shouldn't be males and female sports but he really thinks that there is such a person such a thing as a trans person and that you know he doesn't want to be mean to them and even some of them like my dad lives in the woods so we hang out with woods people and you know so this like Republicans with guns and stuff we go to their house and I'm totally a pro second amendment by the way I'm not making fun of them I grew up in a very rural area lots of guns anyway so yeah that they're Republicans and when we talk about this they're completely on our side about all of it but they just don't care as much as us it's never going to be like a major platform for them because they just don't think it's that big of a deal
