I think you're rocking a bit bro. Oh, isn't this that's me?
Once I'm on my side, too
He's the kick in that that fireball. We just had to ask him in person in real life and then he says okay
We're going to space
Yeah, yeah, don't do you remember on this cause?
Catch him in real life in the act
All right, I should be good now. Sorry. I was switching my Wi-Fi
All right. Yeah, you're good man. Anyway listen, welcome
Welcome to the inmate space. It's been a while like I said
I finally got you up here. How you been mate? How was Vegas? How you feeling?
I'm feeling great. I came back
You know you you love when you're dev who stayed behind to work has the only bullish news for you
It was amazing meeting everyone including you guys were so down the earth man
I love hanging out just chatting you guys were so like genuine like
You would always stop by our booth say hi on your you know
I saw you guys going doing your rounds talking to individual project founders and that's what this is all about man
During times like this we all have to like congregate together and figure how to make it through this, you know
Yeah, I mean for for me like a lot of people don't really know
Exactly what we're about. I mean unless you're involved in the project or you know also you've heard us on spaces
I mean like this is how we all are all the time and this is as you can see
This is why we've done pretty okay because you know
Our personalities as a community are all similar and we're all very open and I think people from the outside when they look into the inmates
They go always dark. It's you know, it's a bit violent
It's prison and then when they come into this door this called they're like huh
It's a total opposite to what they expected and then they end up like really enjoying their time and and getting involved in
Into the the details of the project. I don't think people realize how in depth our project is
So yeah, it was it was good to come around and and speak to yourselves and speak to everybody in Vegas
I find it very very you know
Rewarding you know just to even meet people you see people on spaces and you see people in the discourse
But there's nothing like a like a real-life face-to-face conversation where nobody can hide and you know
You are who you are and you can't hide beyond the computer or behind you know screen or whatever
It's like it just made it all worthwhile even more and
Same with the same with the community members, you know
You think to yourself, you know the community is like this in in discord or on spaces
But I wonder what they're like in real life if they're the same kind of people and I was very blessed to to
You know see like 30 plus inmates in Vegas for our project and everyone was exactly the same as they were in real life
And you know and and it was no like awkwardness or nothing. No, it was brilliant
Yeah, I don't know how did you find that with?
Well, you've probably done a few you've done a few before but how do you find that when you actually meet holders and people
They're close to you in your discord and in your project. It's life-changing man
It literally and I know you feel this too because I saw your face when you were talking to your holders
It's like it lights you up. It reminds you why you're doing this
It gives you that extra push to remind you like to even through the darkest times. This is more than worth it
like dude
I had certain holders come up with their wives and kids and introduce me to them, you know
Like you know and point out to their child like this is the most and it's like
You know, it was amazing like wow, that I'm just some
Lanky dude like
I'm being treated like a celebrity or something and it but all jokes aside man. It was so hard
heartwarming and I
There's nothing like that personal connection is there like when you actually shake a person's hand look at look at him in the eye
Knowing that you've been chatting to each other for like eight hours a day for the last year
It's kind of like a high school reunion. It almost felt like I already knew these individuals is really odd
Yeah, there was a point that I saw like the we took the the picture of like the whole like kind of community at dinner
At the beef and there was one point. I was walking around
Doing my rounds
Speaking to other projects now look to the beef and it was full of people all happy and joining
I swear when it's going to corner and start boiling my eyes out
I'm not even joking now. I was so like I just came over me all of a sudden emotional
I was like wow like just from an idea of
Something that I thought about in my brain and others and it's just
Come out to this like it's crazy like I couldn't have wished for any more. It was very humbling experience
Also, I just want to say who would have done a bunch of gentlemen were correctional
You know like suits on bright orange suits. We're like the nicest people. It was the nicest
You know inmate prisoners. I've ever met in my life. What a trip
Yeah, man, so yeah, just come back from Vegas now. It's a back to reality is like you know back to the ground
You know like you soon as you come back. It's like okay, right? What's on what's on the road?
Much as long as I walked in the door I even had started to develop COVID. I was like ah
Yeah, this was next now because that kind of gives me like even extra like motivation like shit
These people came out and and show up and like I know I've shown up every single day
You know the most obviously because that's my job and I was like now
It's like back to the to the lab like I know to get on it even more and stop delivering the rest of the
You know the white paper towards the end of the year into the New Year
So it gave me the extra motivation and I'm sure you probably recall the same in that regard
Oh, yeah, you know the show never stops the minute I came back
It's all like just like you said
It's the web three side of it which a lot more of your holders in the community are still you know waiting on the next moves
And it's just like just like you said what's next what post it's no what post it notes am I supposed to get to next what what are the
Tassel slack looking like and then reading all the feedback
Excetera us. Yeah, there's never there's never a break is there but uh this is a
Up all apart about trying to do an entrepreneurial endeavor, you know making your own startup. There's probably no downtime
Martin I can attest to that. I mean I came back to Vegas a little earlier than everybody
So the second day I wake up after finally getting some sleep and
There's 187 messages from your DM chat. Hey, am I rugged right now? No?
No, you're good mate. You're good. There's there's like 187 messages of you know the things that you're planning and getting done right away
And I was like he's right back at it
Yeah, yeah, that's that's how it has to be though
Like you don't stop for a founder like and you know
I've I know I believe that the most you have the kind of I've seen how your community is I want to talk about actually
About the Malador the community and how I even got involved right in the beginning is the weird story actually
I'll just literally I'll tell you my my kind of
Story about the the Malador that when I first came into NFTs because I only came into NFTs literally
I mean, I think like a month or two before you guys minted and
I didn't know anything about NFTs and I was like oh, let me let me I was looking around
What's a buyer was buying all the shit and thinking oh damn, you know
I'm just spending all my money and wasting my money. I don't want to do it and then I saw like oh Melodot and I was like
I was like oh this looks pretty sick like and then I went to the discord and I was you know lobby and I was like what the fuck
I mean a lobby. I can't even get into the discord and I was pissed that I was like fuck this. I'm not going in there
And I just left and then I
Left it and then if you would say I was looking JPEG thought I was like
Yeah, and I thought let me go back now
So I went I went back to the discord. Yeah, I had to wait in the lobby again this time I was waiting in the lobby
And then I finally managed to to save up some money to buy a
Mallard and then I bought one and then
Then I was like okay, so what's this all about then all of a sudden I started seeing like the tasks
Yeah, I actually personally if you don't know you could probably go back in your discord
I actually personally done my
QR code and went to a train station of the mallard order and I fucking put it on a train station
Because I thought this shit was cool. I was like nobody I didn't see nobody doing this kind of stuff
And this is when I didn't even have the project in my mind
I was like oh shit these guys are not playing around they know what they're doing
Like the whole mysterious vibe and the whole community interaction. I was I was thinking yeah, this is cool
And let me try and I wanted to win myself a I think it was the invitation there no chance people were going to sick lengths to get that
Invitational and I was like yeah, I'm just dropping a train station
But I wanted to do do my part and like kind of feel out what the whole community was about
So that was that and then all of a sudden I started
You know getting into other discord and I must have deleted the mallard order at discord at that time and then I was like oh shit
I ain't gonna go back in class do all these tasks again to get the roles and I just left it right so I had my mallard order
In my wallet and then at those times I didn't know about how things worked
I was still learning so I started seeing the past go down. Oh shit. Let me sell this
I was like oh then literally two days later when fucking straight back up again
I was like now's my learning about NFTs
So this was this was a proper experience for me and I'm glad it did happen because it taught me a valuable lesson
Like not to be a paper hand and and to actually see things through for what people were doing
So then obviously since I've bought I've got I think I've got free and make ones I bought myself an invitation there the other day actually
So I wanted to make sure that I had one
But yeah, that was my kind of introduction to it and I'm not gonna lie when I when I decided to start
The inmates project I was like okay
You draw inspiration from things around you and I was like okay, these guys, you know
They've got their own style. I said what can I kind of adapt a little bit to my
Warden prison style persona so there was things like elements that kind of how you guys did it
I was like, you know these guys meshed it
You know if you can't learn and use what other people have done before you and adapt it and try and improve it
You're way then that's why that's what we should be doing. That's our belief
I believe that people there are a lot of people you know using what we've done and so on and so forth
And that's great. I think even the people to even use a little bit
That's a you know kind of a compliment to the people before you'd actually delivered well
They delivered so yeah, that was my
Interesting introduction to the Malad Order
So yeah, you deleted our discord you traitor now just
Dear transparency man a lot of people are
You know, they don't have what it actually takes to give another person a salute a
Handshake, you know, I thank you any of that for what they've contributed to the space and you're right
Like you're supposed to
Whatever good experiences you did have within the space and you are trying to make your own project
you should probably adapt it figure out ways to improve it
and
Keep pushing forward and I'm all about like with your project for instance you guys have this whole setup where
I remember like individuals are actually trolling the fact that they're like allegedly in jail together and they got to trade
Smokes and stuff like that's the way it kind of should be right like I know this is in a way about
You know crypto finances, etc. But like if we're staring at red candles all day during a bear market
We should probably you know have something else to think about and building a community is really all about the the UX the user experience
And that's one of the reasons why we even did the whole hey you got to do these tasks the trials
It wasn't to make people jump through hoops. It was more so
Have some fun figure figure out what's out there in the world take your kids out your wife whatever put up some QR codes go make some origami ducks and
At the end of the day will reward your time and effort
You know to the best that we can and from that I feel like it
Let me just put it like this assets are meaningless in a way unless you have a connection a tie to them or they do something for you
But oftentimes a lot of traders go and just
Buy an asset because of FOMO and then flip it you know, and this isn't any any
Hate towards like paperhand in quote unquote, but it's because there's no connection. No understanding to the asset
However, if you put some engaging experience around the asset then the asset itself now has a
Forth wall breaking dynamic to it where you have a memory
Associated with it. It's the only reason why I even care about my funco pops right they're just PVC
Plastic, but to me that's door to me that spider man and those are memories
So there's an attachment to those to those tangibles for me
You know like from from what you guys did with the whole mystery and and that kind of stuff
I kind of adapted something different because right at the beginning we when we started the project
It started from a story from a law that's now at the first seasons complete
It's like 80 pages long or something like that. It's like a proper prison diary of a prisoner
And you know, there's a lot of characters and a lot of them are the one of ones. There's like
16 one of ones for each crime and
And what we did at the beginning so I wanted to try and do something different and that respect like for I didn't want people to grind
I hate that whole grind feeling for white lists and stuff like that and that when this when that when this now
I take the piss when I go to New Discourse I go, oh I get to be one of those guys one of those wins
but we kind of did like okay if you read the white paper and you read the law for example
We'll do like I did over like two or three thousand questions
I was putting out randomly in the discord. I was just tagging certain roles and I'd be like, you know
What is the answer to this question from the law or from the white paper and then the quickest people?
You know they got it right would win the white list so they were learning about the project at the same time as
Kind of wanting to get a white list so
When I had my kind of full process so when it actually comes to the inmates being minted and people being involved
