AI Summary

Two X users talk through hosting a Space, with the host launching Project Nexus to build community, overcome anxiety, and avoid echo chambers after Charlie Kirk's death. - The host admits to being new at hosting Spaces and struggles with minimizing the app, while the other user offers tips on returning to the Space from the top bar. - The guest offers to co-host or support future Spaces, suggesting the host keep a small agenda to stay on track if nerves or overwhelm kick in. - The host explains Project Nexus is an organization he wanted to start for a long time, but only began after Charlie Kirk died, feeling he was "wasting his life" at 45. - He describes himself as a "bystander" who usually waits for quiet before speaking, and he started this to challenge his lack of assertiveness. - The guest praises him for getting out of his comfort zone, calling it "the best way to quiet" (likely meaning quieting fear or self-doubt). - The host notes he tends to take a back seat in Spaces because he sees a trend of recycled information and doesn't want to be in an echo chamber. - He shares a recent example of a man in a Charlie Kirk Space crashing out about conspiracy theories (US government merging with Israel), and he felt bad because the man "obviously hasn't really had anyone to talk to." - The host clarifies his intention isn't to participate in conspiracy theory-type content, though he doesn't mind discussing them. Action: Keep hosting and build Project Nexus with a clear agenda, while staying open to co-hosts and supportive listeners to avoid isolation and echo chambers.

There you go. My muted now. No. You're muted now. I'm, I'm, I'm, well done. You've started a space, but unfortunately I need to go to bed because I've got work in the morning and it's after 11 p.m. I didn't realize I was in a hurry to a space right now. Yeah, no, no. I figured I would try it now since it's dead anyways. And I know everybody, a lot of people are like in Europe and in Australia. Well, you've done well because you're up and running. Yeah, I actually, I tried to add you and then it was like invite to speak or you requested and then every time I minimize it when I'm the host now, I noticed it won't open the whole space. So I'll figure it out. Yes. Okay. So, um, I think you have to, do like, yeah, if you shut it, like if you go to do something else while you're on the space, when you go back in, I don't know if you have to like, like, um, tap on the screen, like for it to come, like, kind of like show back up again. Yeah, I don't know. I ended up just going back to like the ex home and then on the top, it says that I'm hosting the top bar. Oh, so you couldn't get back back to your space. Yeah, like when I minimize it and it shows on the bottom, I can like see my feed and then it says I'm talking on the bottom of my, yeah, yeah, yeah, I couldn't click that, but I have to click the top. You couldn't click that. Oh, that's so weird. Yeah, but when I'm not a host and I'm like in your space or somebody else, you can do it. Yeah. So that's all well. I did it because I've never hosted a space before. So I would have a clue, but I don't remember you said you were new to kind of newer to this stuff too. So thanks for that. Oh, I'm very new as I'm very new as well. But, please let me know when you want to run one. Yeah. Like give me the heads up and I'll be happy to come in and go host and support you because I think it will be awesome to do. Yeah, so I'm good. And like I said, if you know, if you have a bit of an agenda like, you know, a couple of topics that you know, you have there just in case you like get a bit overwhelmed or maybe, you know, the nerves kicking or whatever, you can just refer back to it to keep you on track. Yeah. Well, yeah. And I know you said you had to go, but like project nexus, my name is actually this thing I kind of wanted to start like an organization and and it was something I wanted to do for long time, but then when Charlie Kirk died, I was like, you know what? I'm not I'm 45 years old almost. I'm wasting my life not pursuing what I give a crap about. So I started to try to build this community and then, you know, I'm a kind of bystander. So I've never been a very assertive, like assert myself type. I always kind of wait till it's quiet down to say anything and I wanted to challenge that part of myself. And so I was like, well, I'm going to try to build this thing. And if I want to build this thing, I mean, I know people with anxiety as she's build all kinds of things all the time. And like social awkwardness and inability to public speak in that. But yeah. So my, anyways, I don't know you got to go. I think that's right. I'm happy to spend a couple of minutes talking to you. That's that's so we sure. It all I think that's great. Well done and challenging yourself and getting out of your comfort zone is like just the best way to quiet. Yeah. So whenever I'm in these spaces, I tend to kind of take a back seat. One because like the thing I posted on my my ax the other day about I've been noticing a trend in these spaces where there's not going to be a lot of new information coming. And a lot of people are recycling the same stuff. And I don't like to be in an echo chamber. And also my intention isn't to really kind of participate with the conspiracy theory type thing. I mean, I don't mind that. I don't mind participating in conspiracy theories. But like my goal and I've heard it yesterday. There was a guy it was either yesterday or the day before there was a guy in a, you know, in a space, one of our Charlie Kirk spaces totally crashing out about conspiracies and like the American government is going to kill us all. And like the government of America is merging with Israel and all this like and I felt so bad for him because I was like, oh, I did hear that. And I felt bad for him too because he obviously hasn't really had anyone to talk to.
