to the depths of your website with the buttons,
and with the piece, resign to hers.
It ain't gonna hit you in the soul,
execute my chopper list on the edge of control.
You take our money, but they won't take our soul.
Go do it no more, no more.
To the higher podcast, this isn't just another podcast.
It's a place where ambition meets experience
where successful people pull back the curtain
on the victories, failures, sacrifices,
and lessons that shape their journey.
Some weeks, we sit across from those
who've reached extraordinary nights.
Other weeks, we tackle the conversations
that challenge the way we think live and grow
because success isn't reserved for the gifted.
It's built by ordinary people
who choose to think differently, act consistently,
and never stop learning, never stop growing.
If you're chasing purpose, building a business,
leading a family, starting over,
or simply trying to become the best version of yourself.
Guys, you're in the right place.
So open your mind, challenge your perspective,
take what serves you, leave what doesn't,
and together, guys, let's go higher.
Today, we got the higher podcast, episode 11.
The influence of social media, guys,
we do this every single Saturday at 630 Eastern.
Welcome in, can't wait for the conversation.
I'm gonna throw this over to overthrown
and beast our co-hosts for today.
How are we doing, guys?
The life full.
As always, the ladies and gentlemen,
do me a favor before we get into the heavy-hitting conversation.
Like, we, leave a comment.
These are one of the very few spaces
that you truly find purpose within.
I find that the conversations here truly do take us higher.
I like to think with each week the passes,
we leave the world a little bit better
than what it was before these podcasts started.
So do me a favor and hit those buttons,
but I'm ready to get into it.
Social media, something we all spend a lot of time on
as we fly through this rock that's hurling through space,
as we nearer our death, maybe we should take
a little bit of a closer look on how we utilize our time
in this life.
I'm super excited for it.
Beast, my boy, how the devil are you?
Man, I am blessed, sir.
Happy to be here.
Hope everybody's having a good start to their weekend.
My weekend is delightful, actually.
Absolutely delightful.
Do we have a wild vest lurking within?
I want to see how he is.
How you doing, sir?
Coffee and Hande, it is early morning for you.
O.T., it is early morning.
Thank you very much.
You can hear the little bit of the milk residue
just lurking there in my throat.
You know what's funny about a soy cappuccino?
No, guys, I don't take soy cappuccino
because it's fancy.
I'll take it because I'm lactose intolerant.
The chocolate it just sticks to your lips
and yeah, you have to be careful.
You don't get that stringy stuff when you talk.
Lucky there's no cameras out here,
but we're safe.
The beautiful fragrance entering my nose
and the gentle notes of caffeine touching my palate
is starting to stimulate my mind.
I'm excited for this, mate.
This is a fantastic topic,
something that is plaguing our human species.
So ready to jump into it with the crew.
But we've got sherry on stage as well.
We've gotunk huff joining us this week.
We've got OG peanut.
We've got so many chaden chaddits down there
in the listener's section.
Please, as was stated earlier,
like and retweet the space,
bringing some people that you think
would benefit from the conversation
around social media and the influences impacts
it's having on our human species.
And these spaces are recorded.
So please pass it around afterwards.
But welcome everyone, excited.
Yeah, I just want to mention too, guys.
You can find these episodes on the casinosociety.io website.
And then just real quick, I'll give our listeners
what we're going to be going over today.
And then I'm going to pass it over to Shereen and say hello.
Guys, so what we're going to be going over here
in episode 11 is how much does social media actually
influence us?
Like the way we think, the way we see ourselves,
the way that we see other people.
What is this information that we take in
from what we're viewing influences?
Even what we believe we should want from life.
Are we consuming content?
Or is the content consuming us?
It's a very good question.
How does constant comparison affect us?
How much of what we see is actually reality?
And are we becoming more connected or more disconnected?
So this week we're going to be deconstructing
the influence of social media,
exploring how much control these platforms really have
over the way we think and live.
As always, this is an lecture.
It's just conversation.
But I'm going to pass over to Sheree.
Sheree, how's the, it's morning over there for you.
Isn't that how's it going?
Hello, guys.
I mean, I was doing well until Vest
little introduction there.
And I feel like he just took us on a journey.
The little stringy bits on his lips.
I'm still trying hard not to vomit a little bit.
And then the way he took us through how he is enjoying
said coffee, the aromas, hitting his taste palette,
I just, I don't really know where to go from there.
I can't move past it.
At the same time, I was distracted by a baby parachuting
out of a plane in the purple field.
So it's been, it's been a bit of a wild ride
for me the last five minutes.
But I'm excited for this topic, actually.
I think this is a really important topic to touch on
because I mean, obviously, we all spend so much time
on social media here.
I think it does need to be talked about because I think
the influence of social media is a lot stronger than what
people think.
And the amount that they consume is a lot more dangerous
than what people actually think as well.
I think social media is just a thing that people do these days
and it's not really much thought process put into it.
So I'm excited for the topic.
I'm excited to see where the conversation takes us.
Glad to be back.
I missed last week.
So I hope you guys didn't miss me too much.
But yeah, I'm here to cause havoc today.
Hopefully my feral stays in his room.
He's currently drawing with his breakfast.
So fingers crossed, he stays in there.
And we'll see how much I can tap in.
Yeah, the soy milk residue residing within the palette
really threw me off my first date.
Yeah, it's all I can think about currently.
I know, I'm glad I'm not alone with this OT.
How are we going to get over this?
I don't know.
So it was so well said that I'd like to really start
to give it into it, but I had to think about it.
I was visualizing.
I'm a visual learner.
So I was visualizing.
And perhaps this is an argument against the power
of social media and the influence of social media.
I don't know if we're using it to its full potential
by describing such palatable coffees at this time in the evening
for me.
Well, let me kick us off because I would like to deep dive.
Actually, no, let's say hello.
Let's be polite.
Let's say hello to Uncaf, my boy who's
here every single week.
Uncaf, how are you doing, my brother?
What's going on, gang?
Just living in another beautiful Saturday night in Texas heat.
Where is this cooler weather at?
No, it's coming.
I know it's coming.
I'm sitting outside, so it's not too bad.
Yeah, social media.
This is my only platform.
I don't have anything else.
This is it.
And it gets consuming, right?
Like, even this week, I was gone a lot.
I didn't jump in a lot of my normal spaces I do.
And I'm like, do they even notice?
But no, we'll get into it.
Absolutely praying for some cooler weather for you, Uncaf.
Yeah, I don't like the heat myself, but I'm from England.
So I only have to deal with it two weeks out of the year.
Beautiful.
Beautiful time to be alive and be English.
OG Pina, my friend.
How you doing?
I'm good, man.
How about yourself?
It's quite sunny over here on this side of the North Sea.
So I don't know how good or bad you have it over there.
I is definitely cooling.
It's definitely getting a little bit of a chill in the air.
The shorts have retired for the year.
The jackets and coats are coming back into the playbook.
But the life will have you here, OG Pina.
We've also got the tiny Joe Boo, who I think is this your first time up here, I believe.
So now, man, I've been dropping up and down in and out shaking and moving a little bit.
I've been up here a couple of times, man.
I was out for a couple of weeks.
I was on the road, so I didn't catch up, but I dropped it last week.
And was glad to get this back on my calendar, man.
So, yeah.
And I just by the coincidence of time, I was looking, just drop, drop real quick.
And I looked at my phone and I was like, oh shit, there's the higher podcast.
Because you know, I get busy, I mean, forget.
And I was like, man, it was 3.29.
And I was like, oh, right on time.
So I had to come up, man, come kick it with you guys for the time being.
Yeah, I was just wondering while you're describing your milk, your lack of milk experience and
intolerance, man, do you think while you get higher in your brain and start to expand,
you might be expanding on your lactose tolerance at all?
Potentially.
You know, I had that thing, that like the power of the mind.
So if you trick the mind into believing that you can consume lactose, that I'd be okay.
But the body reacted quite differently to what my mind actually believed.
So you know, even though I try to use my...
