the way of looking at things and thinking about things has changed for me. So for example, you take this subject claim by claim and then you take up, you take the claims and you, I personally, after just, you know, reviewing his content is just understanding where the claim came from. What is the genesis of the claim? It's not so much who is saying it, who's a liar, who's that's that is part of the the trick is that there's all kinds of people involved in this in the subject when it was back in the 50s to today. There are people who are who have agendas, there are people who are sincere truth seekers. There are everything in between, but it's the matter, it's the matter in which you see the claim that comes in where it came from and what people did with it and where that information went. I think that was the most valuable thing and looking back at Dodie, it really is a template towards everything we're talking about. It's a brazen example of how the government has inserted themselves overtly into this subject, but there are also things that are covertly inserted into the subject. And the only way you can surmise that is just looking at the systems in which they create the information that flows and and seeing who benefits from it. Other than that, there is no bottom line that I can print out on my printer and say here's the answer to all this. It really is just understanding like an ecosystem and the economy of this really. So that's a little bit of a rambling, but I want to both say that. I think that yeah, it's just a new look at the same subject and it really does tell you a different story when you think about it in that frame. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we talked so much about the need to exercise discernment in everything that we hear going on today. And I think particularly these older stories that are part of the lore and legend and foundation. You know, it's always good to go back and reevaluate them, set the record straight. I think in many cases, because sometimes there's little I know we've discovered little offshoots of stories that are there and aren't necessarily actually part of the record, but have just sort of taken on a life of their own. And you know, again, yeah, Mr. Carian's great at bringing those things around. So yeah, I'm looking forward to this today. You know, as I wrote you and Greider earlier, I'm going to, you know, as we go through. You know, I'm an Air Force veteran. I was Air Force security police security forces. I worked with OSI actually in the drug interdiction part of their mission, not so much the counter intelligence part of it, but you know, have some insights. And experience, let's say in the culture and particularly in the security and intel side of the house of the Air Force a bit as well as the civilian experience. So, you know, I might play devil's advocate a little bit as we go through here. You know, when we examine, you know, what Doty has said and how he's reacted to things through the years and whatnot. So we, you know, have it. You know, that we look at things within the context of the environment that all of these people were living and operating in. That again, you know, we might not, we do, we definitely wouldn't have the same views today and you definitely won't have the same views if you've never been emerged in it. So I think we'll try and do some of that. And also, I don't know if you want to kind of cover, I know how close Greider is to being ready to kick off here. But if I am not going to steal his thunder on this one. This is like. No, no, I was just going to if you wanted to kind of lay out the format and the speakers questions all that how we'll run through. Yeah, let's do that. I am not going to step on his toes on Doty week. So just really quick. Yeah, so we are jumping around a little bit. We are looking at a bit of a linear look through history. You know, we've had we've just our fourth one. We're jumping ahead just due to relevancy of Rick Doty's recent appearance on. Chris Ramsey podcast. If you I listened to four hours of it just for history and science. And I still find it fascinating. Listening to him speak. Even though I know it comes with a lot of baggage everyone has like. A different thing they take away from Doty and I think that's the point of what we'll talk about today too is what he reads back to you is. A lot of reflection on what you believe and he amplifies that and that's a tactic and I think we'll talk about that a little bit on how he did that and how he continues to do that even I think in interviews. Today and how he discusses like you know once and until officer always and until officer. I don't have that experience but I think I've I've read enough here to maybe. I'll tell that there's some reoccurring themes there so we're jumping ahead a little bit just do the relevancy of of of that recent event housekeeping so we're letting up speakers. I think when Grider pops on will do just kind of an opening will walk through the topic itself and I think we'll just open it up to discussion and make sure that you know we'll do hands. You are best to keep it on topic if that's okay with everyone and what am I forgetting Gina that's. No I think so yeah that covers it so yeah just be patient as we you know we don't get to hands right away whatnot. You know we'll come back around you know and you know you raise a good point made me think you know when you talk about Doty and his background and things he says today and you know criticisms and whatnot. You know and I'll just say it's like you know it's often criticism you know I get myself right people who are like well you used to be in tell so I don't quite trust you. I've told a couple times there was a reporter who as I was you know talking to him and kind of given the background and he somebody just someone else suggested I speak with. You know and he's like oh man you you talk like and tell you you know you're still active you're and I'm like no I'm like but I also spent 30 years in this you know professional so you know it is what it is right it's like you know and I give Doty a little bit of that grace to a degree right that. It's like this is you know this is the field we worked on this is you know we're yeah we're careful with words we you know think through things we. You know we we we we craft our words in many ways you know and it's it's hardly ever if never intentional it's just. The upbringing right I mean anybody who works in a in a field that has its own you know dialects and lingo's in ways of expressing you know things within your your work environment you know you can't help carry that over into your personal life so that's why say it's something we've got to again everybody's got to discern for themselves and and decide what it means to them. Hey so I'm James here and you want to go and introduce yourself and just give us kind of yeah your basic thoughts on the space and also if you want to go on and tell us your opinion of the Paul Benowitz case before we get into it just kind of give us an overall summary I know that you've done a lot of research into it right and talk to many of the players that were involved with it you want to go on and give your introduction sure. Welcome everyone thank you for tuning in. I guess just a little background about myself been involved in the subject on my life from the former director of Mufon and I'm actually outside the circle of uphology right now I've been out since 2010 pursuing independent research trying to avoid the circle of belief that seems to surround this subject and just dig discreetly into cases. On a case by case basis just to understand the facts behind it and try to as much as possible keep a leaf out of it Paul Benowitz yeah interesting case actually very sad case sad for Dr Paul Benowitz who was caught up into it. And if anybody doesn't know the background essentially this was a gentleman who was a business man who owned electronics company and actually lived just outside of Kurtlen Air Force base on he was convinced that he was seeing aliens flying over the base and he was intercepting their signals with his equipment. And he was an honest patriotic American so he went to the local counter intelligence office at Kurtlen and said hey this is what's happening and rather than tell him no that's not what's happening just you know keep trucking and don't talk about it that's our secret stuff that we're doing at the base. They basically fed into his paranoia and fed into his fantasies and made him believe that yes he was actually intercepting alien signals and Richard dodie was right in the middle of that as part of that counter intelligence ploy. So sad for Dr Paul Benowitz because due to his paranoia he eventually committed himself to a psychiatric facility and passed away and you know there were a number of other players that you've probably heard of like Bill Moore was in the midst of all this he befriended Dr. Benowitz and also you know basically was a snitch. Past on whatever Dr. Benowitz was telling him on to dodie and the counter intelligence office at Kurtlen Air Force base. And you know unfortunately for Bill Moore he thought he could play the counter intelligence game with his inside sources and that didn't end up too well for him so after confessing to what he did at the 1989 move on conference he basically disappeared from the field. So yeah I'm not sure if Rick dodie is joining this group tonight I would be curious if he was. Yeah so I actually so I actually reached out to Rick today and I heard back from him he actually emailed me back and he said that he will not be joining the space but he thanked me for the invitation and which can't believe it that but Rick if you're listening. The space is open and like I told you before and like I've kept my word before with like the Charles made me a space that was a disaster by the way but like I said in that space and like the you have a research group space you spoke in back in 2024. I gave you my guarantee that you wouldn't be harassed that you would be respected you know that you would be questioned of course you know can't stop that from happening but I think you enjoy it. I think you enjoy people you know prying into the stories and you know it gives you an opportunity to you know give more details and to kind of expound upon the stories that deep down I think you know kind of built your life right I mean that's definitely your legacy whether you like it or not so and I think you like it. So you can open myself up so i'm sure that many of you know me I'm grider right I've been here for like three years almost and just a research in the topic in my primary focus my primary interest has been in Richard dodi right doing research into nineteen eighties you follow me. You know the Paul Benowitz case Bill more majestic 12 I love that I love the nineteen eighties you follow the history I love dodi despite the fact that you know we have some history like we've had some bumps in the road or whatever but I do I do have respect because I believe that he's one of the greatest storytellers in the history of the apology and this space is going to be what my vision for this space is is for us to do as thorough of a telling of the Paul Benowitz story. In Richard dodi's involvement in it and of course we can get into cattle mutilations we can get an adult say base I have plenty of documents and stuff that I've screen shot it that we can you know that I'll be sharing I have we can get into project beta I actually have the project beta copy of the project beta document. That was authored by Paul Benowitz so I'm going to read a little bit of that is it gives some good background also tons of letters that I'm going to be sharing in the comments and then up into the nest throughout the space to kind of supplement the discussion letters that were authored by Paul Benowitz I've got about ten of them that were actually authored by him unfortunately I can't read his handwriting very well but I'm going to post them up in the nest maybe somebody can read it but I can't read it. I can read the project beta document parts of that and I think you're going to be surprised about how much of the lore you know that is in that project beta document continues to persist from this day so. That's kind of my my ultimate vision for the space and there's some questions that I want to ask that I want to ask now and if the speaker.
