give us a couple minutes and then we'll all jump on. Okay, QM everybody, we're live on near.com,
QTC is trading. I think that when Bridey's smooth will is here from the near team,
will, how is that from your perspective? QM. Yeah, congrats on the launch, I think. It's really
exciting. This is the first, I guess, primary token listing, if you can call it that on near.com.
And I guess we've all put a ton of work in behind the scenes, but it's beautiful to see.
And I think so far it seems to be going pretty well. How do you feel it went?
Yeah, it was great. I mean, just like probably a lot of other people, we were watching how
orders were getting processed right when it opened up. We took a lot of steps. I mean,
I'm sure a lot of people here are familiar with with token launches. And this is definitely a
novel mechanism. And because everybody was going through this near infrastructure, I think we were
really successful in stopping sniping bots and a lot of the malicious actors that you really see
usually dominate most token launches. So I know there were a lot of people who were waiting at the front
sorry, he turns the back out. I know there were a lot of people waiting in the front.
Sorry, I'm hearing I think the recording one second. Yeah, I was personally trying to buy
on near.com, but I feel like there was so many people buying it. It wasn't going through.
I still don't think it's going through, but I'll try again. Hey everybody. So we're just having a
little overload here on the Wi-Fi. But this was an excellent launch. Near.com was flawless outside
of the fact that I think we had an overwhelming amount of people trying to get in all at once. But
everything worked smooth and yeah, this is an exciting time. All right guys, can you mute? Yep.
Okay, look, we've known for 30 years that eventually elliptic curves would fall to quantum computers.
But we built the whole blockchain industry on elliptic curves anyway. And now all that technical
debt is coming due. And it's a big pain in the ass somehow. We're going to have to unwind all this
commitment we've made to elliptic curves. And look, I'm tired guys. This has been a lot of work.
Super proud of the team. This has just been an incredible journey. And so many things happened with
me just watching in awe. I was like, wow, I can't believe, wow, look at it go. So, yeah, thank you all
for being here. You know, we're really, I think there's just like, I feel there are messages
resonating with people. You know, I think a lot of people feel like crypto lost its way
by getting obsessed with meme coins or more and more complex, you know, high finance constructions.
And actually, you know, money has been dramatically over complicated as a whole. It's quite simple.
You know, you do things for other people and your number goes up and then other people do things
for you and your number goes down and that's making and spending money. So, this is, you know,
we'd like to think this is like a back to basics kind of thing like, hey, what's really important?
And, you know, people are complicated and difficult to work with them in general, but money sort of
lubricates it and then let's us have a shared abstraction layer. So, you know, I like to say,
money is love and love is a circle. So, so here we are. Yeah, yeah, that's right, my bro.
Love is a circle and it's been amazing to be on this journey with you and you know, I want to
just say how incredibly grateful I am to work with you and for you introducing me to crypto back in
2017 and me just understanding the power of what a decentralized network is and then wanting to
get involved for all these years. Like, how can I add value to this ecosystem? This thing that I really
believe in freedom, you know, all these values that crypto has and the potential it has to have a
positive impact on people all over the world. And then all of a sudden this opportunity comes up when
we see this, this quantum threat to cryptography and it's interesting because I feel like over the years
of knowing you, Chris, you're always early to things and we see things early. We talk about them,
but in this case we moved on it and we moved on it with a lot of speed and we'd never stopped.
It has been two years straight of getting that initial tip of like, hey, sometimes going to change
in quantum. AI is accelerating the research. Something big is coming and we start talking to people
about it and people are like, I don't think so. I don't think so, but the serious cryptographers
actually really paid attention. And they were like, yeah, you know what, this is real. This is a real
problem. And, you know, thank you to all the people who believed in us, all the angels who came
along to fund the project. We're a super scrappy project. We got this thing off the ground with very
little money to be honest. And we have an incredible dedicated team who understands the value that
crypto brings to the world. And like you said, it's just getting back to the basics. It's like what's
crypto really about? And this is about, you know, money and how can we make a difference in the world
by giving people freedom, self-custody, sovereign store value? These are the, these are the principles.
This is the thing that brought me here. So I'm just proud and honored to have a way to add value
to this ecosystem. And it seems so obvious. It's like, wow, look at this. All the current blockchains,
all these pre-quantum blockchains are going to have to go through this massive migration that is
going to be so sticky and so painful is not simple to upgrade decentralized systems, right? And,
and you know, being decentralized is like, you know, the superpower of Bitcoin and crypto. And then
it ends up being it's Achilles heel in the case of quantum because we bet all the cryptography on
something that quantum can actually break. And it's just so simple. It's just so straightforward. It's
like, we need quantum secure blockchain built from the foundation with this cryptography. And
that's what we did. That's what we built. And I think it's the perfect time after the little crypto
we've been through. And I think it's priced in. And I look at the price of Bitcoin and I say,
it's a gift because if the cryptography fails, I mean, really, what is it worth? You know, so
let's use this as an opportunity to set the gold standard and be the benchmark for
post quantum cryptography and blockchains. And now we can look at, you know, what are your TPS?
What is your QTPS? And, you know, this whole industry has to upgrade and migrate. And we need
chains. They were built from the foundation and ground up with the post quantum cryptography.
I'm grateful for this team. Thank you. You know, Chris, Nick, Django, Jay,
Beesma, Chris Cohen, Sajal, our whole team is so incredible, so dedicated. All our advisors
who've just spent like countless hours just, you know, coaching us on how to make all this work and
do it in the right way. And for everybody listening who bought in today or is looking to buy in,
like, thank you guys so much is like, we really are doing this because we care about what's
happening with finance in the world and global finance. And I'm really grateful to be a part of
this also. Thank you guys. 100%. Thank you, Joe. Yeah, that's a lot of the vision we're making quantum
secure crypto, quantum secure and cryptid money. The industry has a lot of work to do. We started
our process by building quantumists and then launching the actual chain, the proof of work chain,
almost a month ago. And now it's tradable and live. So it's a liquid asset. And Chris, I don't know if
you have some thoughts on what went well today, like what was your process like? What were some
of the some of the surprises in the launch? I mean, I've been here with you guys the whole time,
but if you just want to talk about, yeah, what went well and how you prepared for this launch?
Well, you know, I was, you know, only sort of loosely familiar with the internals of Nier before
doing this. And so I've gotten to know, you know, a lot more about how it works. And Nier is really
impressive as a system. They've made a lot of, I think, very good design decisions. I think the
account abstraction is super impressive. So we were, you know, we managed to do all the things we
needed to do by from a quantus wallet. So we were controlling it with post quantum keys. And,
you know, I don't know if we might be the only people using post quantum keys on Nier right now,
but we hope to grease the wheels and pave the way so that it's easier for others to do so as well.
And also, you know, we worked with Rea Finance, you know, with a smart contract on
it's sort of like the uniswap of Nier. And it's also quite an impressive system. So we got,
you know, more familiar with that. And so it was, I think it was, you know, I'm just
fascinated by these things. I was like digging through other people's machines and sort of seeing how
they put it together. And there's a lot of thought and intelligence that was put into it. So
so that was positive. And and yet, the, you know, every abstraction later is leaky, you know,
you like, and so if you look behind the scenes, it's always like, whoa, all this crazy stuff's going on,
like how, you know, and and don't worry, ladies and gentlemen, we've got it all under control.
And like, it's just so, so you know, it's always a bit of a miracle when these things go well.
And speaking of the abstraction layers in the tech, we've got Alex Shushenko here. So Alex, I don't
know, if you had any visibility on this launch, if you were trying to to open the first few seconds,
if you got your orders filled, tell me about Nier Intense and your vision for the product and how
bought us fits into it. Hi everybody, a couple of comments here. So first of all, the
post quantum keys are already implemented in several wallets on Nier. So if you have been open
and you know, starting the walls on Nier in the in the recent, you know, like months or maybe,
you know, several weeks, then most probably already got the post quantum came.
Second thing, the stuff happening the way it should happen for us is a normal thing. It is not
by chance happening, you know, like you do so, like please.
I'm sorry, bro, I wasn't trying to shoot guys. I was like, I'm just a bitch.
I know that you thought that I'm just not on the call. So I'm on the call here.
You know, bro, I know, I would never.
I know, it's just joking, just joking, all good.
Yeah, now unfortunately, I was not participating in the first seconds of this thing, but I have
long standing plans here. I do believe that the very core thing that quantum sees sort of now is
the absence of the migration that needs to happen in between the blockchains that have been using
the pre quantum cryptography to the quantum safe cryptography. And this is a complicated social
consensus that needs to be reached, which is also true for Nier. And there are risks within the
this transition. So if you would like to price in the risks and if you would like to, you know,
disconnect from from from this risk.
