Justice I just wrote on the word word back here. That is I'm honored to be here. We've been running together
Ohio. A big energy going on here. I can feel it. And, um, oh my goodness. And first of all, I
wrote on the word word back here. That is I'm honored to be here. We've been in Toledo a lot. There's a big
US government is making billions of dollars in financing available for these projects. President
Trump signed an executive order directing the energy department to work on these projects and
also calls for construction to start on 10 new large reactors with complete designs by 2030.
Now, in addition to the added power to the grid, this plant alone will account for about 650 jobs here.
First and four, as crews work to restart the Palisades nuclear power plant, the secretary of
energy made a stop with leading state Republicans to tour the site. The owner, Holtec hopes to see the
facility become the first decommissioned nuclear power plant to go back online in the country.
News 8's Josh Sanchez was there as officials talked about their hope for the project.
The United States Energy Secretary and other dignitaries say that the work being done here at
Palisades is part of a larger effort to increase American energy production.
Folks, business is getting an exclusive look at Michigan's Palisades nuclear plant
with energy secretary Chris Wright. Connor Hanson with us now. Spent it out, Connor. How will the
administration lower energy prices? Hi Stewart, well secretary Wright tells us this will lower
energy prices for Americans and specifically here when this Palisades plant behind me re-opens
as soon as next month to put it in the context. The secretary says this will put out about 800
megawatts of power once it's up and running that affects about 700,000 homes based right here in
Western Michigan. Now this is the first time the energy department is restarting a nuclear plant
that was destined to be shuttered completely. It's part of a wave of restarts and upgrades they're
doing across the country. Now we did get that exclusive look inside this plant with the secretary
and see what they've been working on. This plant was set to be completely decommissioned meaning
every piece of concrete would have to be removed from the ground, not to mention the nuclear fuel
being removed. It's a lengthy and expensive process. The energy secretary blames past administrations
for shutting down nuclear power and instead subsidizing sources like wind and solar. Here he is.
The Trump administration bent all in on launching the nuclear renaissance. The Palisades plant here in
Southwestern Michigan was shut down four or five years ago and it'll be back running before the
end of this year. 800 megawatts of additional affordable reliable secure energy to lower cost
for misoganders and increased job opportunities. This is a reversal of the stuff the Democrats did
for years. They did everything they could to stand in the way of energy production. The contrast
could not be more stark.
Good morning. Happy Halloween Eve. Thanks, Ali. You're just taking that unexpected coast. Well done.
Good morning, Bishop. Good morning, Punchbowl. Ali, I am so jazzed to have you here today.
Everybody, we got a star in the house. If I make a fool of myself today, it's not my fault.
Just because I think she's amazing. This is the Punchbowl. Make sure you grab a mic.
Join us during the conversation and today we are focusing on we want to hear from you all
voters in Georgia. We've been focusing on different states up until the election next Tuesday.
So today, if you're in the state of Georgia, grab a mic. Come up. Tell us what your boots on the
ground view is. And of course, we'll get updates from our other states. You know, Tom will give us
some of the data on Texas and maybe Margot will come in and give us some of the data on North Carolina.
If you're in a state that just closed early, we can come in and give us an idea of how these are
on the ground, not just mainstream media polls. Good morning, Ali. How are you today?
Good morning. I'm good. My coffee's kicking in this morning and then I am here with Punchbowl.
So thank you so much, Bishop and Taz. I am honored to be here and help out the Punchbowl this morning.
Sorry, go ahead, Bishop. Do you think boss?
What's that? Oh, I'm trying to reach, repose the space, make replies. I don't have anything other than
the nuclear piece. Michigan being the first one to come back online. I knew I had a friend that
that paid quite well to paint the inside of those things. Do you believe that? There's an actual
job where they all the fog gear, every possible aspect, anything you had in your hand couldn't
fall into the reactor. I mean, it was just insane. I was like, how long did it take you to
relax? He said about six months. All the training in the world, and you're suspended,
painting the inside of those reactors. But 700,000 homes from that one-palaceates nuclear facility.
Man, now I just want to see it reciprocate back into the electrical bill. I don't know.
I'm pretty stoked. I mean, I remember traveling through what Kentucky into Tennessee, maybe. I
think there were a couple of reactors in that area. Very ominous, very big. I think over by
Northern Ohio, there's a couple also. There's sporadically all three United States.
The net, that's pretty exciting to me. I did play a bunch on the clip from Ted Cruz,
Colin O'Roy Cooper. Got one with Trump, Colin O'Roy Cooper. The very first piece I played was
Mike Johnson. I truly believe that the polls are, like he said, historically going to be so wrong.
I'm still, I just, I can't see any other way. The lunacy, the lunacy, the lunacy is set in so deep
that Democrats are voting for Mike Rogers. That's why I feel about the telefrico.
The polls are gone. And got, I'll say it. I don't know how many points ahead. Got telefrico. So many
points ahead. I'm like, it's just, I think I think the messaging is to the people that don't have,
they might be an impulsive media, impulsive individual that reads media and will take it for face
value and be an emotional like, well, I might as well go vote. I don't know how to really pinpoint
the messaging right now. The pit, the false, I'll tell you, the poll are absolutely upside down
tremendously bad. Well, we know that Quantus today finally published one that shows Kempaks in
leading. It shows Greg Abbott at about plus five and Kempaks and it plus one something point out.
Oh, that's, that's, that's, that's, yeah, that's way more than that. It's way more than that.
They're trying to do a CYOA, you know, they're trying to cover their, their butt at the very last
second and make themselves look like them, you know, they're not as dumb as they had, you know,
previously made themselves out to be. And this is all done for marketing purposes.
It's designed to try to suppress the, the Republican vote. I actually think it backfires and it
drives the Republican voters out to the polls. But it's also done to try to raise money for
Democrats so they can have more money in their campaigns and the, the Democrat consultants want
polls that show certain narratives. And right now, you know, Salcedo can talk about this too.
You've got two competing kind of groups of camps, the people looking at the Texas race.
You've got a group longhorned Eric and some of these leftists that are buying his stuff,
literally subscribing to his webpage where he puts all this, you know, coveted data information
about the elections. The people say that, you know, he does this great analysis and does this great
job. And he's predicting right now a Tallahuree Co. when they're lapping it up and they're paying
him lots of money. So he probably likes that situation. And then you have other people like
Seth Ketchle who I don't believe gets paid to do anything in polling. And I mean myself,
I don't get paid to do anything in polling. And there's, and but I do analyze everything that's
going on. So when you go to what I would consider to be honest analyst and ask them about what's
going on right now like Seth, they'll they'll tell you, yes, it's close, but Ken's winning. And
in fact, and it could be potentially be much higher. So I put out a tweet last night and said
Greg Abbott could get 5.4 million votes on Tuesday, which would crush his previous record.
And if that's the case, that's going to carry the Republican ticket. And I would expect,
you know, if Ken, if Abbott gets 5.4 million, I would expect Ken to get
somewhere around 4.9 million or 4.8 million. And I don't believe Democrats can get more than that
in the midterm election. It didn't, it didn't happen even in the, the presidential year in 24
or in 2020. Joe Biden got 5.3 in 2020, but that's, you know, it's just not going to happen for James
Tolerico. It would have to be an insane turnout for Democrats. And I don't see them, you know,
winning over every single independent voter. I just don't believe that. And I will say that if you
use the Abbott impact app, you can see how many Republicans have voted. Who else you need to turn
out that's a Republican contact in your phone? I've texted 20 people this morning. I texted a bunch
of people the day before called out the punch full and said, yeah, you know, during punch full,
I'm sitting over here using the Abbott impact app, turning out voters and they're texting me back
going, yeah, I voted. And you can then you can update the app every day. It uses the voter rolls on
who's voted. And so your contact list gets updated and it shows this person now voted, this person
now voted. And it actually shows yours is a statistics page. And it'll show statistically how many of
the Democrats in your contact list have voted versus the Republicans versus the independence. So
who do you need to target next? So over the weekend, I'm going to call and text all of my independent
contacts in the Abbott impact app and say, hey, your label is a swing voter, you know, you're
pretty conservative. I know you're going to come out and vote for Kim Paxton on election day.
What do I have to do to get to the polls? What do we need to do? Can I count on you and try to get all
my independence? Because out of those three categories, it's the independence in my contact list
that haven't voted. And in a much, it's like 20% of them have voted versus like 70% of my
Republican contacts and 70% of my Democrat contacts have voted. So that's what I'm seeing right now.
I hope people will download that app and start using it. That way we can get the ticket,
an extreme amount of votes. Remember Donald Trump got 6.3 million votes here in 24. So Greg
Abbott getting 5.4 million about a million less than Trump did two years ago isn't exactly
off-pable. That's a very doable scenario for Greg Abbott, especially considering how much money
Elon Musk has spent. By the way, the tweet I put out about Greg Abbott potentially getting 5.4
million votes. Elon Musk did like that tweet I saw that earlier. So I was like, wow. So I think he's
he's being very positive about this and we were all going to realize the Democrats are having
a higher turnout but so are Republicans. That's the deal. That favors Republicans and we may have
closer margins that we want but Abbott's going to do better than five points I believe in
compactions going to deliver victory but we have to do everything we possibly can't. It's
supposed to rain on Tuesday. It's got press alert. We'll tell you.
