You can actually verify all customer funds are backed
instead of just taking their word for it.
So that's another really cool feature.
I think not every crypto exchange does publish
all their proof of reserves.
And on the platform you've got all everything
you could possibly need, right?
Of course, you can take care of spot trading.
They've also got futures trading,
which is something they're very strong with.
They have a lot of futures pairs.
I believe over 500 plus different futures pairs
for people to trade with.
As always, guys, remember crypto trading, especially futures.
Any of that does carry significant risk.
So always make your own decisions
and do your own research when it comes to
especially leverage trading.
But you know, you can make a lot of money
if you do it right, if you know what you're doing.
So of course, BTCC has spot trading,
has futures trading.
It also has a very solid, very robust copy trading platform.
So that's one of their big features, I would say,
where you can actually go and sign up for copy trading,
follow successful traders,
and hopefully make money by following
some great successful traders out there, right?
You should know what copy trading is by now, probably.
So they have a great platform for that as well.
You can also just use a demo account
if you want to test out some trading,
you want to practice your skills
and don't want to deposit right away.
But that's for you to try if you like,
so you can practice without risking anything.
And so at the end of the day,
being around for 15 years and still going strong,
it's a big exchange.
They're doing billions of dollars in volume daily.
So definitely it's something you want to keep your eye on
or check out if you're looking for a new crypto exchange.
Now something that's really cool as well,
you can do crypto deposits and crypto withdrawals
in particular, I believe it's up to $10,000 US dollars
or USDT for example per day without KYC, right?
So if you're looking for an exchange
that you want to do some trading,
you know, send in some crypto
and be able to pull it back out when you need to,
whether you make some money on a trade
or spot trading futures, whatever,
you can do up to $10,000 USET per day without KYC,
which is pretty handy to me, pretty nice,
as I understand it.
So with that said, folks, again, it's great to be here with us.
Great for you guys to be here with us today.
I will also say there is a contest we're doing
or a giveaway which you have to help us to repost the space,
repost and comment as well,
one of your questions for this space is right.
The topic for today is the market movements
and sentiment, market trends and sentiment.
So make sure to ask a question regarding that as well.
We are giving away $100 US dollars to five winners.
You got to follow BTCC exchange and quote the tweet.
Let's join the BTCC50.
It's let's join BTCC AMA.
That's what it is.
So let's get right into it guys,
really looking forward to speaking some more with Matt here
on the show.
Yeah, thanks for having me.
Absolutely.
How are you doing today, Matt?
I'm good.
I can't complain.
Market's been hot.
You know, pulled back a little bit today,
but otherwise it's been a really good week for the market,
really good couple of weeks.
Yeah, I can't complain.
100%.
And I was, we'll get into it,
but I was a little bit surprised personally.
It happened to all of a sudden.
It feels like if this was the end of the bear market
hasn't been that long, you know what I mean?
Yeah, I mean, it's felt long.
It's felt kind of long.
But yeah, it did kind of happen all of a sudden,
but at the same time, I felt like the market was ready
and waiting.
It was bubbling underneath the surface.
And once they got the clarity acting all that out of the way,
that was kind of the signal to go ahead
and start pumping the market, I guess.
Absolutely.
Well, Matt, I want to hear a little bit
of an introduction for yourself.
Really quick, I will just once more repeat to everybody.
If you want to win the giveaway,
we're giving away $100 to five winners.
You've got to follow BTCXX, follow myself, follow Matt here,
Matt in Web 3.
He's a well-known figure in the crypto space.
So definitely somebody you want to pay attention to
for the alpha as well.
And quote, I'm going to join the AMA.
I mean, we're here now, but you can still go for it.
Hashtag BTCC15 and also drop your ERC20 wallet.
And if you have a question, comment that as well.
So let's get into it, Matt.
Why don't we start off?
Tell us a little bit about yourself, your journey
and crypto, who you are, where you come from,
and what you're doing now.
Yeah, so I mean, I've been in crypto maybe four or five years
at this point.
My entry or my gateway into crypto
is kind of through NFTs.
I kind of got, you know, it peaked my interest
when board apes started taking off
and kind of became mainstream and kind of crossed over
into the mainstream.
I didn't really know much about crypto at all back then.
You know, a couple of friends that kind of tried
to like, show me here and there,
but I just kind of like dismissed it.
But when NFTs kind of started going mainstream,
that's kind of when I really got interested.
Yeah, it was kind of just like out of curiosity.
I used to, I had a couple of businesses
before I got into crypto.
I sold all of them, so it was kind of looking
for something to get my hands busy with something to do.
And yeah, I saw crypto kind of taking over
and if she's going mainstream, so it's like,
okay, maybe now I have some time in my hands
that I've sold my businesses,
I'll take a closer look at crypto.
Got an NFTs started trading those.
You know, I got into a couple like alpha groups
back then at the time that like bigger alpha groups
and through those I was kind of able to build
a little bit of a network.
I became like a collab manager for some alpha groups,
you know, like back in the day when these like,
white list giveaways for NFTments.
I used to help organize those with, you know,
the various NFT projects, the various alpha groups
that kind of helped me start to like build
a networking kind of get my name out there.
That was kind of like my first brush
with crypto in the crypto space.
I was doing that for like a year or two until NFTs
kind of like died, you know, everything kind of like
died off in that space.
And that's when I kind of slowly transitioned, you know,
over more to proper crypto and to meme coins,
all coins majors, what have you.
Yeah, I don't really do anything at all with NFTs now
and just, you know, focus entirely on crypto proper.
Gotcha, gotcha.
You know, it's the whole NFT thing.
It was really strong in like 2021, 2020,
I think this kind of time.
And then there hasn't really been something so much
like say board apes or something along these lines.
The I've seen that has been as powerful or as driving.
What made you just quickly, because I'm curious now,
what made you kind of drift away from doing more NFT stuff
into crypto crypto?
Well, like I said, like the space kind of died,
like NFT sort of died, maybe not completely,
but they died down considerably, you know,
after that kind of euphoric phase.
And yeah, just a whole NFT space,
the whole kind of slowed down like there weren't
that many projects launching, not that many
like ecology projects launching,
they just got kind of quiet.
And then, you know, kind of people who were in that NFT
trading space kind of started pivoting more towards
meme coins and that's where meme coins kind of took off more,
especially with like the rise of salona and salona meme coins.
That made it much more, you know, accessible and easy to trade.
And I could kind of see like that's where the attention
and energy was shifting towards.
And yeah, there just wasn't much left to do
in the NFT space at that point.
So, you know, a lot of the guys I know kind of did the same thing.
Just kind of got more heavily into the meme coin side of things
and I've just kind of never looked back.
Absolutely, absolutely.
Well, that's certainly what I did as well.
And man, it's been a fun time.
I mean, there's been some crazy meme coins
and crazy, you know, projects and things that have absolutely
popped off and that we've done really well with.
So, that's great.
We're really happy to have you here with us on the show.
Great to be able to speak with you here on the spaces.
And I think it's really cool that you sold your business
went into crypto and, you know, haven't looked back.
So that's awesome.
Have you done, has it been a good journey since then?
Like have you done well since then?
Yeah, I mean, I say so.
Obviously, you know, when you first get into crypto,
there's a big learning curve.
You know, I felt for every rug pull scam firm,
what have you at the beginning.
Just like I'm sure many people have.
You know, it took me a while to kind of like figure out the space,
figure out what I was doing.
Yeah, I mean, overall, over time,
I've gotten, you know, much better at learning the game.
And, you know, obviously I'm doing well trading.
I'm doing well just overall in crypto.
But yeah, there's obviously a huge learning curve,
especially for someone like me who didn't know anything.
Like I literally knew nothing at all about crypto when I got into it.
Like I knew what Bitcoin was.
I don't even know if I knew what Ethereum and Salona were like five years ago
if I'm being honest.
So it was a very big learning curve for me to,
yeah, just to hop into the space and just have to learn everything myself
and teach myself everything.
And again, luckily I found my way into some pretty good,
like alpha groups on Discord along the way
and met some really good people who kind of helped me and showed me the ropes.
Yeah, I mean, I'm definitely happy with how I've done in crypto
over the past four or five years
and the money it's made me in my performance.
Yeah, looking back, I definitely wouldn't change a thing.
And I think, you know, at this point,
I'm probably here forever to some degree, right?
I feel like once you kind of get into crypto and you're, you know,
really in it, you never really leave at least, you know, fully, right?
100%, 100, absolutely 100%.
And, you know, I think that crypto is sort of like riding a bike, right?
You gotta fall off a few times before you get the hang of it.
Right.
Like seriously, you get, you know, you gotta,
you gotta get rugged a few times.
You gotta have some money in some bad trades, you know, yeah, 100%.
I went through the whole exact thing as you did, you know,
where people tricked me or I got rugged and I lost here there.
And it's just kind of with the experience you learn who not to trust,
we're not to, you know, we're not to get it,
what not to get into, what seems fishy, what seems legit,
so on and so forth.
So I'm glad we both made it, my friend.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, um, so let's talk a little bit about the markets.
I mean, over the past week or so, a couple of weeks now,
we've kind of blasted off.
I think people weren't expecting it that much.
Like, we were kind of at 65K or something around there.
A lot of people were saying, we're going back below 60K.
We're going down to 50K.
A lot of people were telling me the bottom for the bear market would be at 50K.
And it's looking pretty unlikely that we're going to, in my opinion,
at least revisit these kind of areas.
What do you think about the recent movement?
So we, I mean, quite literally Bitcoin hit about $87,000 recently.
We're in a little bit of a pullback today.
I think it's around 85K now.
But how are you feeling?
Are you feeling pretty bullish now?
Or are you kind of waiting to see what happens?
Would you be allocating money?
And really quick guys, I would say before we dive into all these
kind of questions, nothing that we say on this space is financial advice.
Of course, we're just discussing the markets.
We can't predict what's going to happen, but we're just going to give some opinions,
ideas, so on and so forth.
So just put that out there.
Nothing's financial advice.
But yeah, Matt, I'm wondering what you're thinking about the markets at this stage
with the recent price movement.
Yeah.
Like I said, I think the market was ready for it.
I don't think it's a fake out.
That doesn't mean we won't retrace a bit or maybe go back down to low 80s,
high 70s.
Are we going to see 50, 60K?
Again, like I highly doubt it, barring any unforeseen black swan event.
Yeah, I think the market was ready for it.
I think it was held down and I don't want to say I'm suppressed, but I mean, I think
that it was just held down for long enough and it was kind of bubbling to come up to
the surface.
And I do think from here till the end of the year into next year, we are going to see
more bullish price action.
Again, doesn't mean we won't pull back a bit.
It's not going to just go up in a straight line forever.
Why do you think the worst of it is behind us?
And yeah, I am feeling bullish overall on the general sentiment towards the market.
Absolutely.
I would agree with you as well.
I mean, I'm looking, I actually look forward to dips because I think they could be good
opportunities for myself to get a little bit more exposure with some extra gunpowder,
right?
So I'm, for sure, I don't want to buy all the peaks.
I want to try to try to time it somewhat.
But all right, cool.
Thanks for thanks for your answer on that.
It is looking great guys.
This is looking great, especially at this stage of the, yeah, just at this stage, it's
kind of like a lot of bear, let's say bear markets usually last a year or a little bit
longer.
It hasn't been quite a year since we hit that last Bitcoin peak.
So it's cool to see that this price action is coming in.
So are you thinking that, I mean, I know you kind of answered this somewhat, but are
you thinking that we do get a little pullback here first?
Do you think we kind of shoot to $100,000 Bitcoin within the end of the month or within
the end of next month or something?
What are you thinking in terms of that?
Do you think we'll even out first or?
Yeah, I mean, I would be shocked if we were at 100,000 this month, even next month, I'd
be shocked.
I think I'm still going to take some time.
We are kind of seeing like a little pullback today, although it's really not that big.
But I do think we could get a deeper pullback, but again, like nothing towards, or at least
I'd be very surprised if it was towards the 60s or even 50s.
I think low 80s would be reasonable, maybe high 70s briefly.
But yeah, I don't think we're just going to just shoot straight to 100.
I think there will be multiple pullbacks along the way.
Overall, if you zoom out on a longer time frame, it is going to be a generally more bullish
structure across the board.
And yeah, I think by the end of the year, maybe 100.
But even if not, I think into next year, for sure, 2027, we're going to see possibly
even new highs on Bitcoin.
Absolutely.
I'm really excited for it as well.
You know, guys, every single cycle, right?
Bitcoin has been around now for...
Gosh, what's it been since 2009 or something like that, I believe, so that it would be...
How many years is that 17?
Yeah, it's been a while.
Yeah, a long time, yeah.
But I mean, it's one of the best performing assets of history, right?
It's like every single time in a bull market, we do get new all-time highs for Bitcoin.
There's been...
How many cycles these four-year cycles they speak people speak about, right?
There's been a number of them now.
Every time we're getting higher peaks and then a lower...
Not as deep as a...
Of a trough or not as deep as a correction.
So it's nice to see that building momentum.
Well, anyways, Bitcoin is Bitcoin, right?
You kind of look at it and you say, okay, we're for our 85K or let's...
