and get out there and dig your own well before your thirsty as we say on this
space from time to time.
Our guest today studies the money supply.
Our panel checks the price every eight seconds.
Today we find out which one counts as research.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's Bob and Kurt.
Yes, good morning, everyone.
We are going to have a great space today.
We are live and you're listening to Bitcoin veterans spaces.
Number 540, where I'm the only one who counts the space episodes.
We do this space each weekday 10 a.m. Eastern.
And from time to time, we do have a special guest.
And this morning I'm excited.
We will be speaking with him in just a moment.
We do also put these on Spotify for your listening pleasure.
In case you ever miss a live space, please check us out there.
And before I timestamp this one, we've been announcing that we are sponsored by
MeetSpace.today.
It's a joke, but go check it out.
It is your AI curated news from
an AI perspective, kind of interesting, fully automated autonomous
and not quite super intelligence yet.
Even though I like to say whoever came up with it,
it is a super intelligence news room.
And so check it out.
Let's see one more announcement.
Bitcoin veterans is hosting our third annual summit in
Nashville, Tennessee on November 9th and 10th.
And we would love for you to join us.
We will take its available, I believe.
And you can get tickets at BitcoinVeterans.org
forward slash summit 2026.
We are less than 30 days away just a few short weeks.
And we'd love to see you there in Nashville.
So please check that out.
BitcoinVeterans.org forward slash summit 2026.
And with that, we're going to go around the horn, do some mic checks for our
All-Star panel.
We're going to start out with Texas Toast.
And that's why he's habitually tardy to the space because we do start these
a little before 10 a.m. Eastern just to get everybody in here situated
all of your comments and posts and all that stuff.
But the reason he shows up late is because then he can take credit for
the massive amount of audience that jumps in after the top of the hour.
Texas Toast.
Good morning, sir.
All credit to you for our huge audience.
Let's go ahead.
Thank you, Bob.
Glad to be here.
It's going to be a great show.
Lost to talk about.
Lost to get into big show.
Uh, yeah.
I'm excited to talk to Matthew and really get into it.
We are holding the line at 80 K.
And Jerry said it was going to go down.
So I expect to turn around soon.
You know, this reminds me of when Bitcoin slid underneath six
thousand and was bought right back up.
I think we're going to see that soon under 80 when people see that seven
handle.
They'll get bought right back up.
We'll see though.
Could break down.
We'll get more into that here in just a second.
Uh, pub Lord is once again working with some workers and just comes
up in stage sits.
And I can say exactly what I want to about him finally because he's not
going to come off mute with all the hammers going.
The ladder is clanking.
Uh, no, we'll get to pubby in a little bit.
He's with us in spirit.
Oh, there he is.
Yeah, I'm here.
Yeah, just popping it out, looking forward to this.
Hope everyone's having a great day, man.
Let's roll positive.
No fun.
I won't call on you later.
You'll just have to raise your hand.
And we'll see if you have some good questions for Matthew.
Our guest Tico.
Good morning, sir.
How's your own sanction?
Well, the mental sanction.
Well, it's flowing.
Got a high.
EP m rate.
Uh, glad to be here.
It's going to be a great show.
Thanks for having me.
Yes, sir, always great to hear from you.
We also have executive producer Eric, who tantalizes us at the beginning
and the end of each space.
Thank you.
Once again, executive producer Eric, for keeping us all on track.
Good morning, sir.
How are you doing?
Great Bob.
this morning, I'm going to just sit back and relax and listen to our special guests.
Yes, be sure to be monitoring the back channels. I may be sending you some stuff during the
space because I always have trouble with the hands. Let's see.
Briega, thanks for joining us. Good morning, sir. How are you?
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Happy to be here. Hopeful. Bullish. Confident.
Always great to have you. And yes, I think we'll get into it with Matthew. But I think we have
plenty of reasons to be extremely bullish. So once again, welcome to the stage.
Briegaeth and we have a book holder all the way from well, your neighbors with Matthew, I think.
So, somewhat over there on the European continent. Good morning. How's it going?
Good morning, Bob. Thank you. I'm doing fine. And my plan is to do exactly what the executive producer is going to do.
Have a nice day. Thank you.
A book holder will be monitoring the situation from the European continent.
And I do have to say a book holder, your mic sounds much more clear. So not sure what you did there, but keep it up.
Keep up the good work. Brandon, thank you for being here. Good morning. How goes it?
Yeah, good morning, Bob. Man, another ugly inflation print today, right?
And I have to apologize in advance, but I'm going to tweak you a little.
Do you still feel really great about your Bitcoin is relatively strong versus gold comment yesterday?
This is why we trade. You know, this is why I'm shorting Bitcoin and adding to my gold positions yesterday. No, it's funny.
The misdirection is good. And I think it's fair to point out. Now, if I was trading this stuff, you'd have every right to dance on my grave this morning.
But I think we'll see over the long term gold will continue to fall out of favor and Bitcoin will continue on its adoption curve.
It's exactly the answer I expected, which is this is why I don't trade that that's that's your answer every time I try to tweak you on something like this.
Yeah, you know, I'm too busy preparing for this space each weekday, 10 am Eastern and then replying to all of the comments, the nasty comments I get about my inability to trade.
So thank you for that. Let's see. Go else is up here. Oh look, we have our special guest Matthew comes check. Good morning. Well, where you're at good evening. How are you? Good afternoon.
Gentlemen, thank you. Can you hear me?
You sound great. Thank you so much for being here. I wanted to give a brief introduction and then we can hop into it.
I take it wherever you want, but I think there's quite a bit of overlap between veterans and Bitcoin and the things that you're interested in.
So I'm excited to kind of weave in between all these topics.
Really, I want to build today's conversation around one overarching question. What happens when a monetary system built on exponential debt growth meets a monetary network
whose growth follows a power law and we do have some interesting things. I've went back and listened to some of your more recent interviews.
We also have that topic around Ukraine and Russia and want to jump into that as well. But just for people who are not familiar, please do follow our special guest, Matthew Mizinkas.
He's a macro economic researcher, the host of crypto voices podcast and the creator of pork opalus economics, which you can visit at porkopolis.io.
And I think I have that right and he's been tracking global monetary supply and researching Bitcoin's place in the world's monetary system since 2018.
I think I have that right as well. And as executive producer air kind of mentioned, a lot of us pay way too much attention to price each day.
But I think Matthew, if you check into his stuff or have seen him before, he really is one to study the mathematical relationship between Bitcoin's growth, global liquidity and the monetary systems that governments and central banks have built.
So with that, want to kind of hop into it. Can you give us a little bit of an introduction of yourself beyond what I've shared Matthew, just give us your background in Bitcoin and then maybe we can talk about all this.
Well, I guess the adoption curve, it would also be Bitcoin and the power curve as you like to refer to it as instead of the power law.
And I'm very interested in this idea of equity markets being exponential versus Bitcoin being on a power law or a power cycle curve. Go ahead, sir.
Sure, well, yeah, thank you very much. The intro was great. Very happy to be here with everyone. I am an American Latvian. So the last 20 years, I've made my way back to my roots and I've been living in Europe for 20 years. And though I'm not a military man.
I have a lot of opportunity to meet foreign diplomats, Marines, you know, military at the Shays, a lot of a lot of folks that have served have great respect and, you know, it's an honor to be here chatting with you guys.
Regarding the military stuff, if we do wait into that, you can one could imagine, if you know a little bit about the geopolitics of Eastern Europe in particular, the small Eastern European NATO countries Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, even the larger ones on the Eastern front Poland, Romania.
It's all quite tense right now, considering the war in Ukraine that Russia is waging. So I certainly have a very distinct view there. I'm happy to share it.
So that's one thing regarding Bitcoin. Yes, I've been in the space for a long time.
I do streams now mostly on, as you mentioned, Bitcoin research primarily on price, long-term trends. I like to follow trends. I tried to not, I've already heard plenty of jokes about trading and sort of, you know, intraday pricing.
I definitely not much of that actually with what I do. I try to back up, show the macro view, try to, try to calm those Maylocks moments, calm the nerves. That's what I try to do on my streams. So maybe that could be interesting for you guys here. I've been following the power curve is fine. Yes, a lot of the word power law triggers a lot of people.
I've been following that almost as long as Giovanni since December 2018 is actually the first time I posted about that.
And also that year I started to track, as you mentioned, the global central bank money supply, which is, as I've tried to educate over the years, that's the most ontological apples to apples money supply comparison to the Bitcoin UTXO set, you know,
the 21 million coins. This is basically what we're competing against today is all of the central bank.
Literally the printing press and, you know, I have plenty of charts on that. I've posted a couple already here. I'm actually on my desktop to try to get a good mic.
I haven't posted to the nest and I'm a little bit different interface, not doing this on my phone, but in any event, that's a cup that's that's a little bit about it and I can stop there.
Yeah, awesome. And maybe that is where we should start with relation to the money supply. And I think most people generally just think of money as whatever number appears in their bank account.
You make a very important distinction between money itself and claims on money. Can you kind of just for the listeners benefit kind of as we build up on some of these topics, just give us some foundational things on that distinction between, you know, just money that's in bank accounts versus claims on money.
Sure, absolutely. That's a great way to to tee it up. I'm actually going to do a screenshot here in a second of the broad money supply because I have it too.
But if you think about, you know, Bitcoin's a pretty anarchic thing, right? We haven't talked a lot about, you know, regulation, US regulation, how it's going to change the system.
But we've been in a pretty anarchic space for, you know, the last 15, 16 years for sure with Bitcoin. And even during that time, although people have made a lot of important.
