ripping up the good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another episode
trench warfare only on the xrpl. Tonight's episode is titled
a new hope. Guys, things are crazy out there. What a difference a day could make. We got a bunch
of stuff on the docket tonight, bunch of bullish news. It has come out just in the last day.
The last time I saw you guys was a handful of days ago and we were in the dumps was xrpl like
a dollar touching 99 cents and boom. A day later over a dollar 30. So we got a bunch of crazy
announcements. One of them being that Gianbook Bank is the first regional bank in Korea to deploy
ripple payments. That's right. They're going to deploy ripple payments to replace their
multi-day swift transfers. That's something we've been talking about for a long time.
So to the incumbents, if you don't innovate and you don't keep up with the times, you're going
to be surpassed. We also have a bunch of stuff going on. I don't know if you guys remember,
but the last handful of weeks people have been saying where the hell is Brad Gardeninghouse?
For those that don't know, that's the CEO of ripple. Because all this stuff was going on xrpl
touched below a dollar. People were like, he's silent. He's gone. And then all of a sudden we
just have a lot of Brad in one day. Not our beloved BWB Brad with hat. That's a play on his name.
But the real Brad Gardeninghouse, he was speaking at the Sult conference, which is a crypto and
innovation conference held over in Wyoming each year. So he was at that Sult conference. And then he flew
all the way to the White House, washed in DC to be present at the White House podium.
As Trump was speaking on crypto, there were saying a bunch of stuff Brad was covered up in the back
there. But I did notice he was the only real crypto representative for a company. I didn't see
Charles Hoskins in there. I love the Charles. We didn't see a bunch. We didn't see Satoshi there.
But we saw Garling House. So we'll put that aside, but just something to note.
And with this meeting at the White House, there's some interesting and also fun coincidences
that we're going to unpack tonight. We had a little fun. We had NFA here, not financial advice.
Crypto the other week did a two hour interview with him. And he was unpacking some weird and random
coincidences that if anything, at least make you go, huh, that's real interesting. So we're going
to dive into that a little bit tonight. And then we had Brad Garling House, speaking at the CFTC,
the CFTC held a meeting. I think it was in response to the no action on the clarity act
in Congress pushing it because the CFTC and SEC got together and said, hey, we're going to do
whatever we can in our power to make clear rules of the road. And we're not going to rely on Congress.
So we'll get into that a little bit, but Brad was speaking there. So we got a lot of Brad Garling House.
And I'll play a clip of him later. And he's going to be talking about the consequential consolidation
in the crypto space. He's also going to talk about real utility. Also, I have another clip
from the Salt Conference of our good friend friend of the show, Caitlin Long of Castoria Bank.
I say that tongue in cheek because she's kind of a Maxi. And she hasn't been a big fan of XRP
over the years. But it's a quick few minute clip of her talking about power shifting from the fed
to the treasury at salt. So we're going to go over that a few other things. I think Bunny's going to
be late tonight. But we have vet in the house not to worry. I don't know what time it is over in
Germany. I'm going to invite him up. See if he'll come up, hang out with us for a little bit.
But there is a lot of excitement. We had a rise in the crypto markets. Obviously, if you've been
paying attention, not living under a rock. And we also yesterday had always reported as the biggest
crypto short liquidation in crypto history. So you don't hear that too often. Every time you hear
about liquidations in the crypto market, it's from all the longs. But this time, a liquidation of the
shorts. So without further ado, let me introduce our one favorite co-host for the evening until Bunny
gets here. Oh, I got to find it. There it is. That's what deep in the Rocky Mountains of Canada
lives a humble man who yearns for a simple life. A life hidden away in off the beaten bath.
So if his closest friends call him as an entire farm of animals relies on his faith in his good works,
to keep operations running smoothly. It's honest work, honest man. Welcome to Trench Warfare.
Yo, dude, I just picture when that goes off like you and your cabin and the Rocky Mountains and it's
like a drone shot zooming out. You just work on the farm. Hell yeah. Wait, the markets were up today?
Huh, I must have missed something. I've been so used to down into the right only for,
gosh, what, 10 months, 11 months, guys. Feels good to see some green for a change. That's for sure.
I think it was quite the explosive, I don't know, man. Like, you know, I've said before how clarity
to me doesn't matter, right? I think if anything, we're just going to revisit some
lows once clarity comes into effect, right? Because that's usually how it works.
But what I'm super excited about is the mention of hyperliquid
before we even talk about clarity. So it's like, you see how little clarity really matters, folks?
I mean, it's really just about crossing the T's and dotting the eyes for a few things really
and just wrapping things up, but financially speaking and at least directionally speaking,
there should be no doubt in anyone's mind where these markets are going and how
they've just been using clarity as this way to pull sentiment in one direction instead of the other,
even though it's been pretty obvious where the future was going to go, right? Digital assets all
the way, tokenization, more on-chain activity than ever before, more activations, more liquidity,
and so on. So it's super cool to see those validations kind of be reminded
to people who pay attention to what Trump says and everything else. I mean, for everyone else,
it's like it's not even news. It's just like, yeah, okay, thanks for revalidating my thesis,
man. I was starting to feel a bit shaky here after we dipped under a dollar a few times.
I'm kidding. It's really funny to be as well to see how violent the
price action can get. Do I feel bad for people who are shorting?
Yeah. Three billion in liquidations is a little bump on the road here in these
leveraged capital markets that we're all too familiar with now and I think if you were still shorting,
you got what you deserved. I mean, if you heard that speech, it still had shorts open.
I'm sorry, dude. Like, what were you thinking? I mean, not to say that we're not going to
go down again. Of course, we are. We always have to. This was way too
uncontested of God-candle. So we need to reconsolidate and we need to make sure that
we're once again on solid footing before we launch. But, you know, that might take a while
because everyone's pretty excited and three billion wiped out is still pretty significant. So I
think there's going to be a lot of people that are trigger shy before they hit the short button
again. But yeah, it's super exciting. Bunny decided that markets are back up. He doesn't need to be
here anymore. So that's fine. Well, I can't even because like I didn't actually know. I said I was
going to be late last base and I wasn't. So yeah, screw him. Just a little green. Who's got the
little bit of green on the charts and the Bruce running in the background is enough for him not
to show up. Interesting. And we're down to like what two days a week now. Couldn't even make the
decision. No, hopefully he comes here shortly. Yeah, hopefully. Yeah, he said he would. So I'm just
messing around. But yeah, awesome. Man, we can't wait to unpack some stuff with you later. What are
you going to say? Oh, yeah. No, and super awesome to see that here. I keep missing. I think
did you guys have that space this morning earlier with the first ledger and what was it called?
I forget. Sorry. That was a question for that. And I, uh,
for the ledger. It's based today. Did you guys or was it last week or the week before? Man,
last week. Yeah, it was not in Bucky. That is your microphone in your drawer right now. What's going on?
I'm bubble-daffing. Ah, that makes sense. He's soaking. He's soaking the green day. Are you really?
Can I hear the water splash? Uh, that's not too bad.
Awesome. We'll happy to have you here. I know it's early for you in Germany or late,
depending on your perspective. But what do you make of this violent price action upwards? Do you think
uh, the catalyst was obvious that speech with Trump because I feel like over the last
handful of months, maybe six months, the markets are kind of getting numb to what Trump has to say.
You saw that with the, um, the ceasefire over in Iran and markets started to get a little numb.
Do you think it was just because of that that we had this catalyst? Do you think it was market
makers or something else brewing beneath the surface? To be honest, the market recently was like very
rough. And, um, there we were also just completely oversold, right? Like it was straight down for
so for such a long time, it needed like to reverse at some point. Cool. It happened now. It was very
violent. Let's be honest that that was a really violent move here from a dollar to dollar 30 something.
That's very brutal. Ethereum, you know, initially led the way with 20% of
and Bitcoin then too. Of course, they also did. Yeah, the whole market was up and got people back
into you for you. Now, it decides, are we going to continue this path, even at the level of pace or
what we're going to do from here? I think it's going to be very interesting. Well, according to the
chart guys and bunny, we're going to chop up a little bit and then go way back down and go
