I don't know how the audio is coming through.
So I have like a, what's it called?
Like an audio interface that I've had for years.
And I bought some cables and an adapter the other day because AI told me it would work.
And I have been trying, I didn't try now, I tried on a spaces fine.
But I've been trying to feed in like high quality like direct audio, like from my computer
to an audio interface and then into Twitter into X.
So there we get like, you know, like pure signal.
If anybody knows how to do that, reach out and let me know.
I don't want to buy a roadcaster because they're like 500 bucks.
But yeah, if anybody knows how to do that, let's say bar.
That'd be awesome.
But I, I said I'd drive.
Anyway, I would do a voice.
Oh, I'm so man excited.
That was a really good jam.
What was that?
Okay, so how was the, how was the audio coming through on that one?
That smooth.
I mean, it's not like the fucking, the, a cloud.
But it's a bit, it's a bit hollow.
Yeah, so I was discussing this on a space, this morning as well, right?
So there's actually, so what, what X has is, it has like audio settings.
So basically what it does is it, it tries to automatically block out of the background
noise.
And if you don't switch the settings to wide spectrum, it will like try to block out the
music that you put on.
So this is a mild improvement, but, but we're working our way towards high fidelity.
And one space at a time.
I'm so surprised that spaces don't have like X like overall have no like built in tool
that you can play some music like through Apple Pay Spotify.
Like you name it, like I don't know, like I think people love to go and vibe together
in the sense of the music.
Yeah, 100%.
It would be like it'd be nice to have like, you can, I mean, you can do it.
You just have to buy like an audio interface that costs like, you know, three to 500 bucks,
which could be, you know, worth it, but like, yeah, that's a lot of money just to have
like music, intro music.
Oh, that would also be nice to have background music.
Um, let's go to it.
So ladies and gentlemen, we have, we have Mr. Hollywood, Mr. Alex Hertzberg on his way
at some point in the near future, as in in the next like few minutes.
And then he's only got like 10 minutes because he's actually releasing a movie.
I don't know if it's today or tomorrow.
I think it's today, isn't it October 1st?
Tomorrow.
Is tomorrow Friday?
Yeah.
Why would you, why would you release a movie on Thursday, you're doing on Friday, right?
So let's just do some quick introductions.
Let's start with the guests obviously because you know, ladies person if there's no ladies,
then we toss it over to the guests.
Chronicle man, how's it going?
Tell us who we are and what you do.
Yeah, GMGM.
Now I'm excited to be here.
I enjoyed the tunes as well.
And I was actually rewatching their episodes prior to this.
And I was like, man, running this thing off the past.
But yeah, my name is Chronicle.
I'm one of the leads over at Neo Tokyo.
I'm a founder of a company called Rengo.
And then most importantly here, co-founder of Nucleus, which is a distribution layer of
Web 3 where we are introducing this reputation vetting layer for distribution of tokens,
whitelists, pre-sales, but all based off of on chain or off chain analytics to make
sure that the ones that are selected for a project or community are the ones of value
for that community.
And getting that holding power to us so that we all don't get PTSD.
Yes, yes, we do not need any more people with PTSD.
Well, I mean, that can go two ways.
We don't need any more traumatized people, but we want everybody with a little bit of PTSD
as in what we're doing here.
And I spoke his name and he did appear.
And then he dropped down and now we're getting them back on stage.
I know Alex only has like 10 minutes.
Are you with us now?
Hey, everybody.
Alex is here.
So speaking of PTSD, Alex and I even got like 10 minutes.
So I'm just going to give the floor to you, sir.
And you may do with the microphone as you wish.
Can you hear me?
OK.
I can hear you loud and clear, sir.
Amazing.
Hey, everybody.
How is everybody doing?
Epic.
Epic.
Epic, I was just telling everybody that you have a movie coming out tomorrow, sir.
Yeah.
Actually starting tonight is our previews.
So it's called the Infolencer Project from the makers, the original Blair Witch Project.
So if any of you like spooky things, we're like to be scared.
Please.
And you happen to be in the United States of Canada.
Please go out to the theaters.
That's what I can ask.
You won't be disappointed.
After those of you in Europe, that's, we'll be two weeks from now and India and in three
to four weeks.
And in China, 9600 screens in China, which is.
Well, it's fire.
It is.
That was a lot of screens.
God bless.
God bless.
It's fabulous.
So a little background on me.
I run now two divisions of a company called Atlas Entertainment.
You know us.
I think from the movies we make.
So that's mostly DC movies.
So the dark night movie trilogy with Chris Nolan and Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad and
the Zack Snyder movies.
We just, we made Oppenheimer a couple of years ago.
We were just finishing up a reboot of the Thomas Crown Affair with Michael B. Jordan starring
and directing.
And that's out Q1.
And so I run now Hades films, which is the new genre horror division, which where I
spend a lot of my time.
I also have been in the space for a little while.
I bought my first Bitcoin in 2011 or 29 cents.
And I have to say that, you know, it's my fourth winter I think.
The, this project, PTSD, the ability to kind of blend these two worlds for me has been,
you know, joyful in as much as it feels like we, we are a culture worth preserving.
And this in the view of this team and everybody who supports us is the way to do it.
I mean, if you look at what kind of stands test time, it shows like, you know, the Simpsons
and family guy, you know, and Rick and Morty and Bojack and whatever, it's like, this
is the language that, you know, adults like kids like, and our culture is worth documenting,
you know, and that's really why I'm here is to help kind of these, this incredible team,
you know, create this content, which is a show, an actual show that is ultimately going
to live on Netflix or HBO or Hulu or wherever, you know, whoever pays us the right price.
But, you know, the intention here is to create something lasting, you know, because our
culture is, you know, it's all of the things.
Dealing what I'm telling you.
Absolutely.
If you guys are feeling, you know, that you don't completely trust Alex, I would just
like to say that I went out to LA.
I was on a road trip and I stopped, last stop, I met up with Alex.
I was in his office and I picked up, so I was at a Grammy or an Oscar.
It was an Oscar, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I picked up his, I picked up the Oscar with written Open Heimer on it, great movie.
This is real, ladies and gentlemen, Alex is from Hollywood and releasing his, is it the
first movie on Hades?
Yes, it's our first release.
So we're very excited about it.
That's the first horror release.
But we're not here to talk about Hades, are we?
No.
The soft shield is obviously very much appreciated.
If you guys haven't seen a trailer, actually Alex is the trailer, somebody is somewhere
on X that we can pin because it'd be cool for people to see it.
That'll be absolutely fine.
Yeah, do it.
Absolutely.
Otherwise I just put it from YouTube and drop it in a post.
But while I'm looking for that, Alex talks to me about PTSD talk.
So talk to me about the first time you are introduced to the idea, right up until like the
first time you started seeing the episodes actually brought to life.
And what year your thoughts were at the time and what your thoughts are now, as well as
where you think this is going?
Totally.
So this was brought to me when it was at the idea phase and Tommy and Barney kind of
cooked up a treatment with Zams and Coles.
And it was brought to me by some partner's mutual friends.
I just kind of hate a lot of things I have to tell you, you know, part of doing this
as well as being, you know, not easily swayed by something that's just good as we say in
our business is like, you know, good is like, is like the, there's no more terrifying thing
than good because it's never going to be excellent.
It's just good.
But this was excellent.
And yeah, I kind of, I resonated with it.
You know, I've been, you know, liquidated and like, rugged and wrecked so many times in
doing this.
And I didn't, I've never felt a sort of, you know, a document where that kind of like,
that really captured that.
I was just like, this is me, holy shit.
And I know a lot of people are like, beyond that, you know, I started diving in.
We started developing these episodes, you know, Tommy, who's our showrunner, Tommy Letts
is, you know, a towering talent.
And together with Barney, who's our director and co-writer, these guys were generating and
cooking on, you know, these episodes at such a high level, you know, a high degree of
mastery, you know, a work in animation a long time.
These guys are just doing it, you know, on a real, great level with a wonderful pipeline.
And I was very impressed, you know, for folks who are not kind of like inside the belt
way of my industry.
These guys were, you know, phenomenal.
And you know, they part of running a show and creating pipeline is sourcing the right
animators and the right staff and they did it, you know, and I think the, you know, the
product really speaks for itself.
Absolutely.
Can you, I would love to hear, I know you got the job officer in, but I would love to hear
an Alex store, an Alex PT like story, right?
Like we like to say that we're all PT, you know, we're all D Gen's at heart to some degree
and we all get rubbed in liquidated at some point.
Oh yeah, I have a good one.
I have a good one.
There you go.
So story time.
Yeah, this is, this is grim, but relatable, I think.
So this would have been in and around the 24 election and the, I was short for a lot
of that summer leading into this election.
And also I was in Copenhagen at the time shooting this movie that's going to be out in
theaters starting tonight.
So admittedly, I wasn't just like on the charts all day, I was, you know, I was making
this movie, but I also had, I was fairly well levered and I also had been, you know, like
I said, short for a long time and I was kind of upside down and I was like, it was a pretty
big position.
And I was like down, I don't know, 25 grand and I did not like it.
And what I should have done in that moment knowing that this election was just like, you
know, it was next week and then it was days away.
I was just, you know, I was 25 grand down.
I was 35 grand down and I should have just kind of cut the loss.
That would have been the smart thing to do, but I didn't, you know, and ultimately,
I spent election night just getting fucking liquidated because of course that was the
moment that had I done nothing else.
And this is by the way, one of my big theories of this entire space is that what's so tricky
about it is all of us would probably do a hell of a lot better if we just DCA'd and never
traded, right?
You just like leave it there and just let it do what it's going to do, right?
So I basically had all of these, you know, I was upside down when I should have just had
been DCAing in and I lost, I don't know, 100 grand, maybe more.
It was not great.
Yeah, I mean, that's pretty much it.
Like 90% of like, you know, entrepreneurs like fail, 90% of well more than 90% of crypto
tokens, I guess we can say fail.
99.99% of like most tokens, like, yeah, if we were all to just have, like, if I had
started DCAing Bitcoin when I first got into 2021, I mean, I did buy some, but like I was
about a bunch of like, you know, degenerate stuff, which I thought was like, you know,
diversification at the time.
Yeah, I would have been much better off.
I think everybody can say that if we just never traded.
I mean, yes, some people are winning and like those few people that are winning are taking
the money from all the rest of us that are losing, which is not to say that I've never won
any trades.
Yeah, I think that thing now is that people don't think that's quite as feasible now with
Bitcoin, right?
Even though if you think it's going to 500,000 or a million, you know, like, it was a pretty
good number.
Yeah, eventually.
Eventually, exactly, but eventually it will, you know, likely.
