me up, I think it was a little bit of a shit post that maybe went the wrong way or something
like that, but I think overall, excited to see what's being built.
Like I said, I think hooks are incredibly powerful.
There's a lot of really neat stuff being done with that.
And I think a lot of what SimpleFarmer has said makes sense in terms of options and the
way that's structured.
At the same time, I think my initial observation and a lot of people still stands is on first
glance, this looks a lot like V2.
And so you've got to dive into the nuances.
Like, okay, when would you use this versus just using V2?
Because I think there is a distinction for a lot of cases if you just want a full range
pool.
Using V2 probably is still the right move, but it sounds like there's a lot bigger aspirations
here and more things that are going to leverage the functionality that do require this.
I also, I'm curious, I'd like to ask you a direct question and then I'll hand it to SimpleFarmer
for any response.
When I read it, because this was split down the middle, there was a lot of people
that had similar shit post or pushback or questions, for as many as people were excited
about it, you talk about marketing.
I think a lot of that had to do with the wording.
I think simply by opening it up with invented something over the weekend, I think it kind
of tilted some people.
Is that a correct read?
Did the wording itself maybe lead to the shit post or am I overlooking into something
here?
No, I think that's 100%.
I think I sort of read this.
I'm like, wow, this is like basically describing V2 and it's being pitched as a new financial
permit.
Right?
I think that's what led to the post more than anything.
Not that the idea isn't sound or that the contracts aren't sound or that you can't
do additional things with this, but I think like I said, there's years and years of
defy, builders, building strong primitives from V2 to self compounding vaults, all of that
that have led to this.
I think the marketing spin pitch felt a little over the top in my mind.
Fair opinion.
I personally loved it because it got both sides talking.
It got people in the community talking, it got people outside the community talking,
it got people who've been deep in, it got devs talking, it got people who've been deep
in the deep fight streets talking.
Also got a lot of support from Uniswap devs and the hooker count.
See, I think, you know, some of them are well done.
Like you captured attention.
I think it's almost 200,000 impressions already in its 90-minute life for 24 hours yet.
I know you got to get out here.
You're welcome if you got to run there and family takes priority, certainly respect that.
You're welcome to rejoin us if you'd like.
I think we'll be hanging out for a little bit with Chris and Ty.
But before we let you go, any response there to Steve, any final comments, questions,
thoughts, anything we didn't talk about related to Peritok and that you're hoping to share
today?
Yeah, I think, you know, it wasn't really my intention to have this type of wording to,
you know, to this effect, but I'm glad it did have that effect.
Now we have people who are high-level defi users who will come in and dive deeper on the
other things we have in the song, Broker's product, sweetly.
They might actually find some things that they do think are new inventions.
You know, we've obviously had the NFT paying out tokenized stock model that has been replicated
so much that the entire ink blockchain is essentially big.
There's these to sound that whole concept.
So, you know, I'm always glad to speak Steve.
I didn't take anything personally, to be honest.
I just think of the skin than that.
I'm from a place where people say much worse, for much less.
In general, I hope people enjoy the product.
I hope this can also be an easy access point to some people who've never helped before,
where you don't have to go into Uniswap.
Hopefully, we can get deep enough liquidity behind the Peritokins that users can simply
purchase them off Dex's or centralize exchanges or iOS and Android apps, which I think
cap there's going to be two big conversations on the next, let's say three actually, over
the next 365 days.
Obviously, number one is going to be AI connectivity and creating easier processes for crypto
interactions.
I think number two is going to be on chain options and on chain options taking away market
share from Purps in terms of live trading.
And so whoever's able to tackle that best is going to be a big winner.
And I think number three is essentially going to be iOS and Android apps.
All the teams that are leaning into iOS and Android to bring distribution to their products
are going to be each winners of the space because everybody
has a smartphone and everybody wants to interact with applications through their smartphone
and not go through Metamask, because browser wallet, you got to cut out these steps to
create great products.
And that's what we're trying to do.
So thank you for your time.
I appreciate the venue.
No, appreciate you.
One last quick question on that.
Do you think that the fact they were early with their iOS app or how much have been
impact do you think that they had to film those early traction?
And what do you believe all their numbers are not?
They kill it against users.
How much do you think I have an early iOS app and an Apple app played into that traction
and early success they've had?
Oh, it's huge.
I mean, look, it's not a guarantee of users, but it's just a much easier onboarding mechanism.
You know, FOMO, pump funds, iOS app, I think OpenC, making iOS app is a great step forward
and see GMGN doing these things.
Robinhood has said that they don't need 40 applications.
So you don't need to go through 40 applications, do the things you want to do on Robinhood.
I think they're essentially going to install a lot of the smart contract APIs.
So essentially developers will build things on Robinhood chain and Robinhood chain will
just make those products available through their own app for the best products.
Eventually, it's my prediction.
And you know, a lot of people thought my prediction was funny too in January, I posted.
We were building on Robinhood chain test and in January and February and I posted, hey,
you can find the tweet cap.
I don't know if you have time.
Just scroll down my feed a little bit, but I said, I think Robinhood is going to be,
Robinhood chain is going to be a competitor to base and it's going to be a big time
competitor in February and not many people paid attention.
A lot of people minted the test and NFTs because they thought it would give them a free
man on Maynet.
But then we came around to June, RobinJane still people sleeping on cash cat, chilling around
two million and all of a sudden Vlad starts turning some levers and then we get something
that I would say way more people are bullish on Robinhood chain than they're on base and
the numbers have just been incredible.
So look, we're all trying to build things, we're all trying to create things, everyone thinks
they're fucking genius and nobody actually realizes something until it passes right in
front of their face and they're like, oh yeah, I did see that coming.
We're all trying to figure things out.
We're all trying to develop and improve the space.
I think it would be healthier if we communicated it with each other in a positive way because
crypto is a rarity in general, a really difficult city place to build based on user feedback.
So at least developers and developer feedback be a beneficial form of communication.
I agree.
I also feel like I'm one that I think a little bit of PVP is fun and healthy.
It's just like we talk about using the sports analogy.
Like, if you're wearing a high estate jersey, you're probably a little bit of trash talk
so someone wearing a Michigan jersey.
That's fine.
However, I don't like what's happening in the quote unquote trenches now, specifically
like the mean, the shit coin launch pad space.
Now would be the key API really love to see is the devs, the dev community, the NFT
community, all coming together and joining forces to take over the to get loud on the timeline,
collaborating together, working together, supporting each other.
So it kind of drowns out our muffles, the people promoting $13,000 shit coins so they
can dump on their following.
But not to go.
The five plus NFTs could be mean coins.
If we work together, you know, easier stuff than done.
We'll see.
I agree.
For humanity.
And someone called it out.
Yeah, the not only did the NFTs bounce overnight, robberto chain, the tokens are up almost
across the board.
There's a couple that are red, but barely and most are up 15 to 20% overnight.
So, as much as I'd love to say bottom bottom was in, we'll see how the today's going to
be interesting.
I think with the CPI committed hot it continues to bleed a little bit.
I got a big we got a red can.
No one it continues to to slide down.
We'll see how the market responds with this inflation news today, but feels like we, the
worst maybe behind us, not going to wood as it relates to some of our favorite alts and
NFTs.
That's it, some of our, I know you got to run.
Appreciate you all your time today.
Thanks again for taking a head on with coffee to have.
Coffee to have.
Thank you so much for joining us and having a respectful, you know, I know you want to
certainly call it a debate, but I felt good conversation.
You're good to get that out there and yeah, I appreciate, appreciate both of you.
We got, we do have Chris and Ty in the green room.
We're going to be bringing them on and talking about cryo chamber and what good vibes club
is doing here in the very near future.
I did see we got, we're fortunate to get a wild figgy couple days in the row here.
Figgy, I just shared the update.
Do you mind?
I will put you on the spot if you don't mind.
I pinned it up top, but do you mind for those who haven't seen the post yet, a quick update
on all that you and Pepe Man and the team are doing to help transition these blend loans
to Gandhi and otherwise GM sir.
Yes, sir.
Yeah, sorry for buttoning in again.
I know you got a show to run, but just want to keep people posted.
And damn, I'm bummed that I missed what sounds like a debate between coffee and simple.
I've worked with both of those guys in the past and they're both very smart.
Smart and respectful.
Like it was a good, we pride ourselves here on the show to be able to disagree without
being disagreeable.
And they just did the thing.
I was happy to be a fly on the wall because it was, again, it just, it's, it's, it's,
it's so, it's healthy, right?
Not everybody be really weird if everyone all thought the same and all agreed with everything.
It doesn't happen in the world.
It's certainly not going to happen on chain where people have a lot of conviction and passion
about what they're doing.
Yeah, it makes sense.
Well, I think something that isn't controversial is the stuff we had to get done yesterday.
There was really, it was PVG, right?
Like there was no us versus them.
It's like there's this loan liquidity crisis and thankfully, you know, the team and there's
partner lenders that came out of the woodwork to offer liquidity as well.
There's a bunch of people that roll to their existing in danger loans into higher APR loans
still on blends.
So we got to still triage those.
But in general, we've got to get all the blend loans down to zero over the next 30 days.
And so that's kind of going to be a grind.
That's not, that's not as hype but you could see with the curve that was posted.
This kind of like very steep climb in called loans.
We managed to park almost all of them, which is really great.
And I want to point out that in times like these, it, it's also, it's not lost on me that
it's great that a lot of lenders were showing up with capital and they were willing to be
a part of refinancing people because they believe in the underlying asset.
And that is predominantly for the stuff that we were doing, apes and mutants.
But I think across all collections, we just saw so much support for people that believe
in NFT backed liquidity.
So just to kind of sum it up, we dramatically brought down the risk curve on that.
I think we are past one of the most perpulent points in the news.
The grind continues, but this is, this is all really good news because had that not happened,
I think we would have seen the market do its market thing, but in a really turbulent
way last night.
I think that it was, it was a much softer landing.
I'm blown away, quite frankly.
I know I said yesterday, I thought was an awesome, great move what you all did on the heels
of saving $6 million of NFTs just a couple of weeks ago.
Do you do that exploit?
And I was not expecting it to clean.
I know there's still work to do.
It's going to be a grind to get that, you know, the final, whatever, the final, the last
regulars because some of it may not be here.
They may not be paying attention.
That might be, you know, I don't know, it would be crazy to take a balloon loan and not
pay attention.
But anyways, the last bunch is going to be a challenge or a grind, but the charts look
incredible.
I got to pull it up on screen here, you can see the called loans and it was like hockey
stick up and I'm blown away how quickly the work was done.
And to go from 136 loans at start to, you know, now the open loans are only 101.
However, the ones that were at, you know, the great progress, I guess, to put a bow on
it.
Incredible.
Yeah, and the goal for us wasn't even to close all the loans yesterday.
It was mainly to get them refinanced or put them into a place where they weren't called.
Like, I'll, I'll say a little bit more on what I think the strengths of, and it's,
because I think they get a bad rap.
But as you can see, they're really important for the liquidity of the space.
I think they get a bad rap because it, it could in one light be like, oh, it's people
digesting and buying things on leverage and stuff.
And while that's partially true, there's not really another similar mechanic like if you
needed money for your business in a pinch in the real world like today, it probably
take you, I don't know, at light speed like three weeks, you know, to do the checks and
the backgrounds and the underwriting and all this stuff like it, it takes time to do these
things.
And that's one of the really interesting things about NFTs, you go get that liquidity right
away, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, none of that.
But I think what we've found in just having to fix this really rapidly is like part of
the design that I think needs to be rethought is you shouldn't be able to like call alone
on 30 hours notice.
It's just do not practice like imagine if your house like the loan was called in 30 hours
notice, you're out of the country.
So like it doesn't know asset really works that way.
And so it's a trade off, right?
Like yeah, you get it, you get it quick, but then the lender wants their money back quick
too.
And that's fair, fair.
So there's a balance going forward and I think we also got in a lot of reps on what it
means to migrate loans from one book to a-
