or a pirate in a forber like higher and savvy well you know it's a we watched these movies uh... pirates you know and and these movies are all in oh my gosh every weekend right uh... i think i i've had my fill of john wick uh... armageddon uh... lord the rings uh... it's on every week uh... well i hate let's uh... be careful today wings hang out if you got a couple minutes good to hear you and uh... maybe we'll say hello to uh... jolly and then we can say a load of geney and uh... the morning jolly has your days as your monday it's starting to because i am off of work so that's good i worked all weekend and uh... you know it was really nice marlin i stayed away from the app i just you know didn't want to get into the weeds of things and it was really good for the soul um... you know what i've been doing is uh... i've been watching a lot of off-gridting homesteading you know real uh... i will i go on facebook reels their tiktok videos that are made into reels that they call that on facebook whatever the jargon is the logon is whatever uh... but it it it was it's really cool not that i i would ever have the guts to do it because i know i can't even camp for a freaking weekend without without pushing out and wanting to go home but it's really cool to see people that are doing it and how they're doing it and how they're surviving like these people that go like into the interior of Alaska with a minus thirty four degrees and you know their homesteading and even with the fire going in their cabin it's still like only fifty degrees or thirty you know it's ridiculous but they're making it work and uh... i i think that's really cool you know i maybe it's vicariously living through these people maybe it's just something that i you know as a bucket list thing um... you know uh... i wish i had done earlier in my life um... i don't know that i want to do it now but uh... you know when i when i was in my twenty's or thirty's i'd we know we've been cool to start off life that way but you know back then it was different for me so yeah i that's what i'm doing i'm just uh... trying to cleanse my mind a little bit cleanse the soul and uh... hopefully it's gonna be a great week today and uh... down looking forward to that awesome i i i love those shows like below zero any of the homesteading you would be cool it'd be cool maybe the first week or the first month but uh... you know i think i think you would realize like uh... when you would be doing this there's one particular movie that comes to my mind and i and i'm trying to remember the exact name of it uh... silenced in the woods uh... this this guy right this guy he he went up into interior alaska and he built his entire cabin out of all of these hand uh... solves drills uh... it was just fantastic to to really watch the evolution of this guy build the cabin but you know it would really be say it okay so he he kind of went through the life of hey howie the grows some food is able to preserve it and he's got some help outside but uh... uh... the guy when it really came to his sanity uh... this guy had been alone for years and you know you would think like that yeah the surrounding of it know this but man if it was thirty below out there there's four footest know i mean you know like you said it's it's thirty below outside it's fifty inside the cabin with a with a reward fire all man you would pay anything to get out of that situation yeah and it is also you know what i what i watching these videos of these people that are doing it and it's it's a different fact some are a little bit more civilized some do have electricity summer you know using solar whatever it's a pen it's it's the severity of the you know how much you want to be away from the outside world but what it was really it's really cool about it is there is a sense of community and you have to become part of that community because that's really truly where bartering and stuff comes into play and you see it not just in Alaska all over these people that are all that are off the grid uh... that are living sustainably they they they they will go to other farms maybe they have eggs and the other person has has a pork or something and they trade it's it's actually a sense of community and it's really quite i i just think it's really interesting i will you know keep watching it like i said i don't think that i could do it myself i'm i'm dabbling in a little bit here and there i've started with my you know jarring some stuff my for my fresh fruit and i'm finding my strawberries are lasting almost two weeks without even growing a speck of mold on it uh... i'm learning but uh... it's really interesting to see these people doing it and kudos to them if you can do it do it you know if that's your passion and you want to try it go for it i say but uh... right now i'll live vicariously through them poor uh... poor protection i love that show i like the people on there and you know you've watched some of the evolution of these people you know in this kind of cut off neighborhood uh... i like i said i would love that for a few weeks you know it would get it would get it would suck after a while uh... you know it would be uh... you know you you have to do this and that man i'd have to have some money anyway anyway uh... well let's say load of geney and i will get a u-rassle good morning gene i think i'm not doing all too he had you doing this morning i am doing very well can you hear me yeah okay um... you're kind of rubber banding so i'm not sure i want to check um... so i am absolutely elated this morning um... i just want to let you know marlin that i said you a text that you should read and things are moving along very quickly uh... we're gaining a lot of momentum i am starting to invite uh... doctors and nurses in here uh... because the movement that's happening so fast so that we can try to get everybody up to speed without um... disclosing the entire world um... but um... very very excited um... and there's been so much news that is coming out with the different actions that has been happening from resting uh... mayors for fraud and uh... getting rid of the sanctuary sanctions for um... the simoles there's been so much activity that this is just the beginning i know that there's a lot of people out there that are saying it's time to grab your popcorn and sit back and watch and i couldn't disagree more now is the time to get busy and get going on whatever your passion is because you're going to be you will you will be leading um... whatever your passion is because there are so many people that so many people we have to wake up so anyway that's my um... intro for today and i'm so glad to be here and i've got so much wonderful news uh... to share that uh... i'm getting very very excited marlin well hold on to your bridges and uh... yes and also i've given some thought the background yes i'm glad to see the evolution of it because that's what it takes so uh... yeah man i'm i'm i'm happy to be involved in uh... put my little two cents in so uh... yeah jeannie uh... i could feel it wrong yeah well you are you you know you i put you on the list to go to dc by the way just so you're okay all right excellent excellent but to hear it uh... hang out if you got a couple of minutes uh... maybe you can say a little russle russle man how you doing brother i'm doing i'm doing good mar uh... marlin uh... i was just listening you guys uh... you know uh... july's talking about you know getting homesteading a little bit everything and where i live i'm kind of on the edge of a town that you know all these old folks that live around here always had a guard they've always put up stuff we got farmers markets that just spring up on the side of the road you know somebody go to the market burming him and drive it out here and sell it so i mean and the bartering is a big thing out here i mean there's always something to barter with or for you know but uh... the other thing i wanted to talk to you about marlin is the uh... there's a there's a show on youtube it's called tug trash uh... and he's a fisherman and he he does all kinds of he he he used to be a tugboat captain and he quit doing that a couple three years ago and he's he's come up with this youtube channel and it's pretty interesting uh... a lot of fishing skills that uh... that i have never seen before you know of course i haven't been up there he was in Alaska doing barn door fishing you know or flat fish fishing and uh... he was he was uh... up there uh... and just shows you know the there's a outfitter that he went out with this stuff the advertising a bit and he rented about stayed up there and come home with a bunch of halibut and you know flasks all or whatever and uh... it was just very interesting you know and and i know you're you're the fish and the cheat is a little bit different but i mean there's probably stuff that carries over back and forth you know but it's really really interesting and the other reason i'm i'm interested in this i met a guy when i was i don't know i was probably 20 something years old and i met a guy on the train that was going up to Alaska to barn door fish and it just looks like a lot of fun i mean it's it looks like a lot of fun and they got to see the wildlife up there he says you know even if the fish is terrible he says the the wildlife up there is is just you know they saw moose and bear and salmon and and you name it it was right around where he was going and and it's pretty it's pretty much it's pretty long track to get there where he was at but it it's the current uh it's the current show that they just come out with so something that you might want to look at but it's called tug trash and uh good guys seems like and and and just he's uh he's very very uh detailed and kind of kind of shows you what what's up you know because a lot of people go out on these boats and they're they're uh you know they they don't know what to do and they don't know what to you know how to do it you know and and this guy kind of explains how it works on the boats and you know there's a picking order and you know i'm saying there's there's just a lot of stuff that goes on on the boat you don't realize until you get out there on one but uh yeah go ahead it's a team it's a team that you got to build you know it's you know again hey well a lot of guys go go there just enjoy the time efficient and you know what i've really been exposed to and and a lot of it correlates to wherever you're fishing Russell it doesn't matter whether we're fishing and sick uh i'll ask her or fishing in Costa Rica it's the same method and and you know you've got to get this fish to bite you got to get you got to trick them right right he was they were actually hanging bags of chum off the back of their boats and stuff and uh just some stuff that i hadn't ever seen them doing and on uh you know in Alaska they do a little bit different that's all it's just their techniques you know you know it's funny uh Russell you know real quick i'll i'll put this little story out there this williston lake outfitters uh you know what i want to post the link and if you guys ever want a bucket list trip of some kind of adventure you want to go horseback ride and you want to look at sheep you want to you want to look at mousse you you want to have an experience i will put this link in there now i've been there about a half a dozen times and these people love me right and basically what i was able to do was take my fishing uh expert keys you know uh things that hey i knew that would enhance because that that time before when i went they really didn't know and understand how to catch these lakers uh so so basically you know i took that information of what i learned there i went back to following year and i brought these down workers with me and what what they are is they they're you're able to put these downbringer down uh to put your lures down uh where you're marking official whatever and you know the the best part about it was i brought these you know older down riggers i had it all set up and the best night they ever had was they caught six well the first night we caught 21 dude right so these guys are like all all el marlin you know what i mean it was great right what we call the shit out of them dude and they just kept getting bigger right that that the one i'm talking about uh uh uh that guy tug or i don't know what his real name is but it's tug trash or whatever but they were uh they're limited to what you know they only catch so many rock fish so many halibut so many you know whatever and uh it was just they they put it this way the boat limited out two days in a row and pretty much limited the whole trip it's like a six or seven day trip all together it's it's about a eight hour ride to get to the first place they dropped and what's kind of cool is they dropped uh they they baited crab traps and drop crab traps on the way out and then they checked them all the way back so they ended up with crab and halibut and rock fish and just link you know the link god there's huge you know and uh it was just just very interesting and and it's on my bucket list for sure i i don't even care if i go fish i just that everywhere you look as a postcard up there that's the thing you know but uh you guys have a
