We had a couple of metaverse projects that went,
did numbers like that.
This was in the days where I was not just trenching,
but running a VC.
So, of course, we saw a lot of those pitch decks and those one-pagers,
and did a lot of interviewing projects,
and going through their tokenomics,
and their token release slash distribution phases,
and back then we didn't see tokens with any utility.
Everything was speculative,
whether it was a meme or a utility project.
Like, even a utility project didn't have,
you know, the token was always like a speculative thing,
but we went through the phases of,
like back then it was DeFi, gaming got big,
metaverse got big.
We had some metaverse projects pop off,
pulled big, really big numbers.
We had some memes.
I was very early on, like on Brent,
you know, on base I was very early on Brent and Miggles.
Bro, that's the reason why you're such a good,
Salana.
It's right here.
This was like training.
Right?
That was your job.
Look at narratives, look at everything.
Look at the whole package, like an underwriter, right?
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I've been in the industry
for over a decade now.
So, and I also came from traditional finance.
I used to work at Morgan Stanley in New York City
for several years.
So, that's actually how I learned how to trade,
just hanging out.
I used to manage about 125 engineers in New York City
that supported all the market data,
trading terminals, all the software for the traders
at those institutions.
So, I hung around on the trade floor
and in the bullpen's all day.
And that's how I kind of learned how to read charts.
And, you know, there's some research involved,
but simple TA and things like that,
that translated over to that translated to crypto.
So, you know, I had some experience doing that.
And then when I came in, I started, you know,
just posting simple setups and things like that
and grew following that way.
And then that led to working with different projects
and doing some advisory work.
And, you know, before you know, I know it,
you know, I just had a network of a lot of different projects.
You know, I was looking at their,
and back then it was really popular
to be reading full white papers.
Because a lot of the projects,
and you know, it's different than it is now.
Now we have a balance where it's actually more meme coins
than the utility projects, right?
But back then it was, you know,
it was 95% all utility stuff.
So, that's all I did all day every day was look, you know,
read white papers, look at their go-to-market plan,
things like that, their strategy.
Now it's more like, you do some of that too,
especially for utility stuff
and like a lot of the AI stuff is big.
But when it comes to memes,
you throw some of those concepts out the window
and you keep some of them.
Like in the ones you keep,
it's more like, how do you translate that over to memes?
Well, you have to understand like,
yes, you have to understand tokenomics
and the distribution and wallet holders and things like that.
But you're also looking at like,
are they growing a community?
You're looking at numbers and that kind of sense.
And you're also on top of that looking at like,
what's the thesis behind this coin,
but behind this project, right?
Does this meme translate to do people understand it?
Do they have the ability to grow a community?
Are they growing a community?
You know, is there volume coming in?
So it's more than just like looking at a meme face value
and you know, being on like an app like FOMO
and just aping into it
because you saw somebody else buy it.
You know, to become I think it's successful.
You're like writing it.
Yeah, you're looking at the long term.
Kind of like writing, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, to be successful,
I think at trading meme coins,
you know, A, you can't be just somebody who's constantly
hopping in and out of coins for two X,
because eventually you get wrecked doing that, right?
Like we know, we've been in this business long enough
to know that 95% of the time when you're hopping in and out
trying to take those quick two X's,
you're going to be on the losing side of trades
because most of the people who do that
are trying to make quick trades
and they're not even looking,
they're not looking under the surface
at the meme coins at all.
They're just, you know, see somebody else buy,
you know, catch your name, whatever
and they're buying it
and they're looking like I said,
they're looking to take a quick two X.
Just chasing those green candles.
Yeah, well, half the time it's not like it's already
been a green candle and they buy and then,
you know, 10 minutes later they're 50% down
and they're selling at a loss
and they're hopping in the next one, you know,
so you know, you hop in one, you spend $500,
it's down 15 minutes later and you have $250
and you're taking that $250 that you just sold that token
and you're hopping in the next one
and know that one's 30%, 30% down
and you're selling that,
too many people do that in this industry.
Like, and I think, yeah,
this is the time of the year.
This is the time of the year
where you really need to get into the habit
of holding, finding, convincing in place,
doing a little research on them,
finding projects where they've launched
the successful, mean, coin, grew a community,
they're putting money into it,
they're buying backs on the tokens,
they're burning, they have great content,
things like that and then you sit on those
and you know, and you look at it from the perspective of,
we haven't even started the bull run.
This is not the time to be,
you know, taking conviction plays
and flipping them for two X.
If the only people that really make money
in this industry at this point of a cycle
are the people who are willing to have a certain number
of bags that they're just going to hold,
do the ups and downs, do the selloffs,
do the, you know, when they crab block for months
and then, you know, and they wait for the,
you know, the eventual move
or the market to start pumping and, you know,
they sell, you know, they sell on the way up a little bit
but they hold the bag because we've seen in the past
where, you know, projects have gone,
so many projects have gone into the billions
where they started off very, very low market cap,
they had selloffs, they went sideways for a while,
people just rotated out, the casuals kind of came and went
but then the conviction holders held and held and held
and those projects went to billions
and some of those people made millions of dollars,
that's why, that way.
And that's really the only way to successfully do it
in this business.
If you're going to make, if you're somebody who has
like aspirations of making a million dollars
in this industry, you're not going to do it
by flipping two X's all the time
because you're going to be on the losing side of it.
Yep, I agree.
Looks like I'm going to, I'm going to be like,
that's what I see already happening with all season
like people are like getting conviction,
people are holding, they're not even watching
and checking the charts, they're just leaving there,
leaving it in there, you know what I mean?
Exactly.
Maybe he's right, maybe you look on the silver top traders
like on foam wall and so like,
most of their big bags, there's planted there
and don't even touch them.
Even when they're down like 80% like,
you know, it hurts when they're down that low.
I know, but they just leave them, you know.
Well, they went through that phase already, right?
They're hanging around a few million dollar market cap
and they've been for quite a while.
They're not going to be having, again, I don't have a
crystal wall, but they don't seem like they're going
to have a big sell off again at these levels.
They are consistently holding within a range
and they've been doing it for weeks,
if not months now.
They, you know, this is one of those projects
where with every week that goes by,
it should become more and more of a conviction hold
for somebody because now all you're waiting for,
you're just waiting for retail to come in
and more volume to come in
and you know, when the market start pumping,
that's why that's where everybody who is gone
for the bear market, who, you know, not us,
we've been here the whole time,
but the people who jumped off the bandwagon
and kind of went and did their own things
or people who have full time jobs
who just don't neo-traded in the markets
through the bear market.
They come back and they jump back on
and they're starting to pick up on the coins
that have movement or the coins that have sat
at two, three, four million for months on end
and are starting to move along with the market.
So this is one where it's like, all right,
it's not like a $250,000 market cap coin
or it's not something that went up to the five million
and went all the way down to $250,000 market cap.
It's held strong, so it's got a base,
it's got a user base, right?
It's got a community around it.
People who are just like,
are the same mentality like, I'm not selling,
I'm just gonna, I'm waiting this out.
They're the team is super active.
So, you know, this is one of those,
it's just one of those projects where,
yeah, the right people will keep talking about it.
New eyes are gonna start seeing it.
People who have been gone for the bear market
are coming back and they're gonna,
they're stumbling upon this and they're going,
wow, damn good coin, it's got great content
and that's when it's gonna start to blow up.
So, it's pretty easy one to call conviction play.
Definitely, all season was gonna get real sexy soon.
If you didn't get in at that two million,
I don't think you'll ever see that two million again.
No, I don't think so either.
I don't think so either.
That was pretty money range right there.
I mean, well, that to me was like the,
you know, the sign of the bottom of the bear market.
You know, you know, I was watching, I was like,
I was like, that's it, that's the bottom.
You know what was cool is like, I feel like we've gone,
okay, we're at a place where we're very picky
on what we promote and the stuff that I'm bringing on a show
are all long term projects, right?
And actually, I have a couple of new projects on.
Speaking of that, my boy from the pack, the wolf pack guys,
he has to go to work soon.
So I want to bring him up to the front.
This guy is incredible.
And he has recruited, I mean, outstanding crew.
I mean, I mean, he's got the muscle.
He's got jungle John.
He's got Gremano, bro.
Nobody's got everyone kidding, whoa.
He's got that one Latina lady that has that one show.
I can't think of her name right now.
What's your name?
What's your name?
Empress?
Empress.
She's incredible.
I mean, so many great shows, so many great guys pushing up.
I mean, he's got the squad, bro.
Like the alpha squad.
It's like 90s, like a bull.
That was the Chicago Bulls, right?
When they had Michael Jordan, Scotty Kippin, you know what I mean?
Anyway, so.
I think they requested the pack as requested by,
I don't think they can speak yet.
Yeah, let me get him up here.
That's a great guy.
Just incredible, honest, five, incredible energy.
It's really like this guy.
And you have a good job.
So hey, brother, how you doing today?
Jimmy, I just made it where you can speak.
Can you speak, Lucy?
There you go.
Hey, can you hear me?
Yes.
You can hear me.
Oh, beautiful.
Yeah, I'm from Australia.
Oh, yeah, my favorite movie when I was a kid, bro,
was Craft of the All-Dunney, bro.
That was.
I remember he pulled out.
That ain't a knife.
This is a knife.
Yeah, that's my favorite scene, bro.
Oh, he grabs the balls of that one.
Oh, I can't.
I'm so good.
How are you doing, bro?
Very good.
Very good.
Thanks for having me on the show, man.
Really appreciate it.
So no problem, man.
So what made you come up with this dope-ass idea
with the woo-pack?
Because me, bro, when I think woo-packed,
I think that is the ultimate, ultimate community play.
I mean, literally joined the path, joined the out-for-path,
right?
We're going to dominate Robin Hood.
I just love the vibe.
I'm feeling like we're already dominating.
To me, this 10x play was in the next week.
100x playing the full run via maybe 1,000x play.
Maybe it's one of the ones that Joe puts up there.
Devano puts in their 8x puts, so you never know.
Can you do it?
Only push.
Yeah, I'll quickly give everyone a quick rundown
of just why I built the Brotherhood
and how the idea came across and all that.
But originally, it was just going to be,
I was just going to do just like a group of people type thing.
And I'm like, no, I need to do same-cales,
because there's dogs, there's cats, like wolves.
And then it just came together.
So pretty much why I built the Brotherhood
was because I got tired of seeing all these rugs,
all these devs farming the community.
You put your hard-earned money into these projects
and you just get wrecked.
And the devs doesn't care.
They just want to make a quick $ few thousand overnight.
And that's it.
But I wanted to actually build something completely different.
Something that would be not just for like three months, six months.
Something that would be here for the next three years.
And onwards, like you guys were saying,
the bull run is only just getting started.
Robinhood chain is so early, the world doesn't even know
who about all these plays in here right now.
So any of these plays in here,
we're literally in the best position right now.
When I launched the Brotherhood,
I didn't want to just throw a heap of money
at all these coals, KOLs, all in all these callers
just to make a big gigantic green candle
because it would have just pumped straight up to the top.
And then what comes up that fast will just drop back down.
And there's no foundation for it.
So I want to actually build the foundation,
actually have a community behind me, build the holders up,
have people actually try.
