Smokefleet 2.0 - The Great Reset

Okay, it's like somebody told me earlier, it's like it's kind of like just vibes, right? I mean, and that sounds weak, but, you know, that's that's the reality. So, you know, I have been kind of getting tuned into what has been going on the last couple of weeks. There has been some infighting, and, you know, and I can I can assure you that right now, number one here, I've come here to take no sides and defend no one, all right? And that's not to say that, you know, I don't support anybody, but, but I also don't want this to turn into some sort of like thing. Everybody's going to be allowed to speak and say whatever they want, okay? It's uninterrupted, but respectfully, too. The thing that was starting to really bother me is that there are, it's growing, you know, and when I say growing, it means the veracity out into the timeline, you know, into the public space. So, the first thing that everybody's going to know is that I've made one new group, and I've tried to put just about everybody in there. It's one big group, and we're hoping that the group is going to be used for a place for people to connect, and not get, you know, not to turn it into some sort of like group therapy session. I mean, banter is fine, and we obviously will also want to use it to boost each other, and our our tweets and what have you. But at the same time, like, we got to be respectful, and, you know, get a room. You're happy to, you know, work it out somewhere else. We also want to encourage other people that, you know, if you're close with a few, or you connect very well with a few, like form other smaller groups, you know what I mean? Like, use the hashtag to, to stay connected with the group at large, but, you know, it would be good if people broke off into their own groups, too. I understand some people have certain political activist agendas, and others have particular topics or, you know, policies, or things that they hold there to their activist hearts, you know, and, and please pursue those by all means in smaller groups. So there's not going to be multiple large groups, it's just going to be one. Okay. I have instituted two anonymous admins. Okay. And frankly, like, you know, if there's going to be some fighting in there and things like that, like, I understand that there were some admins and other groups that thought they were doing the right thing, perhaps, or from what I could see. And, and then things get personal. And we just don't want things to get personal. I'm going to tell you right now you're going to be in that group, that big giant group. And if, if the temperature gets too hot, you'll be out of the group. It doesn't mean you're out of smoke flea. It doesn't mean you're banished or any of that stuff. It's, it's going to be kind of impartial in the sense that like we can't have people getting personal about this stuff. I mean, it's like it's just Twitter, you know what I mean? It's not like your reputation in a career in a local town or something like that. It's all good, man, you know, we're here to fight against fascism and fight for democracy. And there's going to be people who are supporting us that aren't even American citizens. And we love the support. I know that I support you, Crane, the Marguerstein Ukraine. I know that I've made a lot of posts in the past about, you know, we need to vote, you know, they hopefully they vote out Orban and any of these other right-wingers or we welcome foreign alliances, right? And we are to be allies. Okay, that's who we are. I hope we're allies. We're never going to be best friends or soulmates. You know, Tom, I'm one really good point on that. If anyone can pick up an English accent, I was born in the States, but a very young age moved to to England, America, Canadian girl. Now I'm back in Dunedin. I'm actually up in Canada at my cottage on Lake Huron right here. But the rest of the world, the rest of the the democratic world, western civilization, I can tell you from having lived almost everywhere in the world, the people love America and they love Americans. Just look what happened in the world cup when these people came over here to the States and saw this wonderful country and what we had to offer and the beautiful space. And I can tell you from my heart, the people care, they really care about America. It is the leader of the world, right? Is it a little bit sort of acting like the big brother at times? Yeah, but not in an or well in way, right? They are a little... There's a cautious optimism for sure, but yes, they do want us to get our shit together. They really do. They're rooting for us, right? Yeah. And so if we do, we have a lot of people from New Zealand and Australia and all over Europe and Ukraine and stuff like that and they're all helping and we have a fucking job to do, right? We've got some serious things happening here in this country in in November. Now yes, does it look like it's going to be a landslide? Certainly it does in the house. But if we can get the Senate to, then that could possibly really nip this whole authoritarian bullshit in the bud. And I can tell you from studying, like I'm a history nerd, I'm a newsaholic, what happens with authoritarian regimes like the one the Trump is running at the moment is when they break, they crumble into the ground quickly. And the best way to break these authoritarian regimes is by doing this thing that Liam, who I see as listening in now, he's probably worked, so I'm not able to speak. If you do want to speak Liam, my own means, but end up. But is to mock the shit out of these people, just like people like Stephen Miller, what a pot. What an idiot this guy is. And they have this air of authority and a lot of beta people get very excited about someone who's who looks strong. A lot of betas like to be led, they want to be led because they don't understand how to rule their own lives. And I can say that every bloody person within smoke fleet once a democratic government that is led by the people for the people, we're going to do it that way. And smoke fleet is going to be a big part of that. We're 30,000 and growing. And yeah, so I'm getting a lot of 100% about that. We're going to start to open up the mics now. If you want to put your hand up, please raise your hands. I'm going to hand it across to Tom. And I will you can see if anybody has their hand up now. I don't know whether you close their mics off. But we've got, I haven't, I haven't closed the mics off, but I see somebody's hand up and we're just going to go ahead and give us a whirl. If it doesn't work, then I'm going to put anybody down. And I do agree with you. And I think everybody does like America, but we don't like what's happening there. The same way a lot of a huge amount of Americans don't like what's happening. And even American friends of mine who come and visit all the time, like one of my friends was over in May. And she was going to put Canadian stickers on her luggage. And I was like, what are you talking about? And she was like, she was actually frightened that people wouldn't wouldn't like her because she was American. And I said, no, we do not blame American people for the shit that Donald Trump is doing. And like things that he is doing is affecting the whole world. But we obviously don't hate American people because of it. And I suppose that the biggest thing is people need to get out and vote and get him out. Just like it like take control of the house. And to know God, if the Democrats took the Senate as well, it would be absolutely amazing. Because I think day by day people are getting more frightened by what this guy is capable of. And and it's, you know, I think the whole world is rooting for the Democrats now at this state. I think you're right, Deirdre. Listen, I'm going to keep everyone a little bit tight. But our mission is not really a political one. It's more anti-authoritarianism and anti-fascism, right? We're believers in democracy. And we are also very aware that democracy is messy. It was always messy. And we'll always be messy. Look at our little 30,000 group in here already. You can have some little spats and infighting. But then as Liam, and again, I don't know if he wants to talk, but as he always set this up, it's gotten to a stage where it's kind of difficult to be self-policing. That's why we're going to have to have these little calls, these little spaces every little while just to do some resets and talk about some ideas. And I live in the city of peace and justice, which is the hike, we're about 32 hours drive from Ukraine, so they're always in our heart. I think Trump will be seeing the hake soon, but that's just a different thing. Do you know what? That's an issue. Historically, the US doesn't recognize the ICC. Neither does BB and neither does Putin. And that's a problem. That's what you'll notice. That's why they don't come here. But I digress. Also, if there's anyone here who's an American abroad, sign up, vote, do the thing. It's so important. It's so, so important. I voted for every election since I've left I've left Chicago 17 years ago. And it's really, really our time now to really be steadfast and keep doing what we're doing. Yeah, you're bang on with that. It's about it's about 2% of the voting. And only about half of people abroad, Americans abroad do vote. I know the Canadian debt, democracy party or the Democrats abroad in Canada. We work with very closely. I speak to them about once a week. And they're always pushing smoke, smoke fleet stuff as well to make sure that Americans who are registered to vote or could be registered to vote up in Canada are able to do so. Just one thing as well. She's fantastic with the memes and everything. So if anybody needs any work done, I've just said that she's going to do it for you whether she will or not. Yeah, cheers.
