about today which is real world adoption. So up today we have 5am Earth and
Tribal Tech, a farming program and a police evidence system both on the
space, built on Cardano, running live on Mainnet. So my first question to you is
what connects these two projects first of all and where does their work? What does
it say about where the tech is heading? So I think for a lot of us we join
Cardano based on a whiteboard video in Japan with Charles talking about the
opportunities of an Ethereum 2.0 and some of those applications. And it was quite
clear in that talk that we talked about you know changing the financials and
the social systems of the world. And in the in the last AMA and the one before we
spoke a lot about the DeFi landscape and we spoke about how the Cardano
Foundation through one of sign market makers, a market making some of the
Cardano native assets. We've been speaking a little bit about what we're doing
with fire blocks and what's happening in the DeFi landscape and the financial
landscape. And today I really want to talk about the other side of the
equation. And one of the things which is really important for me is that actually
the Cardano.org has improved significantly. And for those of you are not aware
if you go on Cardano.org slash apps slash leaderboard you'll actually be able to
find the leaderboard of who does most transactions on Cardano. And when I was in
Singapore I've token I compared this with some other CEOs from foundations of
other blockchains and Cardano looks significantly different. And one part
where it looks different is that when you look into the top 10 or top 20 we
actually have a significant amount of projects which is not only about financial
systems. And some of those projects is of course midnight which you heard a
lot about which currently is number eight, right? But we also have a
trivalve with FMS India chain also by trivalve, right? And we have five a.m. And I
thought what would be really cool today is not just to think about why these two
amazing projects are really changing the lives of people and the social systems in
India. But also why they're significant to Cardano in terms of you know
recurrent transactions in terms of actually finding value where Cardano can be
better faster cheaper than Web 2 and traditional technology systems. So for
those of you in the space I just pinned a tweet to the top here and the leaderboard
that Fred just mentioned is in the link of that tweet. So go take a look at the
leaderboard you can see the transactions for yourself. Thanks so much for the
introduction there Fred. I like that. So let's try to make it a bit
concrete. Yoram, let's start with the farmers in five a.m. earth in India. So you
recently hit a big milestone of 100,000 farmers on chain in India. So first
well how are you today? Can you hear me all right? Yoram, seems we cannot hear
Yoram at the moment. Maybe we should have done a mic test at the beginning. Are
you there Yoram? Maybe try changing your microphone in but okay so while Yoram
gets that figured out I guess we could go ahead and start with Tribal Tech. So just
a moment here. So Tribal was building a really interesting pilot in India. So
we recently published a case study on Tribal Tech and their forensic management
system in India. So they're taking police evidence and logging it on chain. So
Raoul tell us about your pilot. Tell us about how the police are using
Gmargano in India. What was going wrong with how they handling their evidence
and what solution did you build for that? Sure. So what say thank you Karana
Foundation for this opportunity. Hello Karano. I'm Raoul founder of Tribal Tech
and thank you Jacob for the question. I think there's a multiple questions to be
answered all at once. I'll just manage to answer them one by one. So please
bear with me. So yeah to begin with one of our successful life projects is
forensic management system or we call it FMS. FMS secures the chain of custody for
forensic evidence by hashing and stamping critical evidence records on
Kadano. FMS is already live on Maynet as you know and is successfully running
since more than one year with an Indian state government. As we speak today
FMS has generated more than 160,000 main net transactions on Kadano. This is
the first of its kind of a project. The success of FMS has given us results
positively in both ways not just to Cardano in multiple ways. The first is as
I've previously mentioned that the number of transactions on Cardano which is
more than 160,000 on Maynet. The second and the most important part is it
opened multiple doors for a wider scale adoption with the success of FMS.
These are the major stuff and can you please ask the next question? I didn't get
your next question, Jake. Jacob. Yeah my question was what was going wrong with
how to please to actually handling their evidence in Utah, Pradesh? Yeah sure I
I'll just go through the minute details of it. So to begin with what used to
I'll just explain what used to happen before FMS in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
So imagine a live case or a live situation happened in Uttar Pradesh. Now
imagine you're in the scene of crime. A crime has happened. Next the crime will
be reported to the police right. Imagine all of this in your mind and please so
that you'll understand every bit of it. Now if you reported the crime to the police,
once you've called that SOS number and then you reported the crime, the police
team will come to the space and then they'll be collecting the evidence at the
location and they record all the evidence manually. All of the synodate which I'm
explaining right now is what used to happen before FMS. Once all of the
record is taken manually, that record will be sent to the police station and with
all the recorded data they'll create a case ID and register a case where they
give a case number on top of each data box. So all the physical data will be
collected in a box and then they'll be registering a case number and they'll
be giving a case ID and they'll be printing it on the box. Later that box will
be transported to multiple different forensic laboratories for bone testing,
blood testing, hair testing or bio testing or whatever that is chemical testing.
So there are multiple different forensic laboratories which they'll be sending
it to. In this situation where the case ID is on top of the box, everyone out there
leave the bad actor or the good actor, everyone out there can see the case ID and
they can know what case they're dealing with and it's now easy to tamper the data
inside the case or the case box. So this is the major problem which was faced by
the police in the Uttar Pradesh and that's what we've solved with FMS. Got it. So as
I'm understanding at the weak point for the police in Uttar Pradesh was the
case number written on the evidence box. Yes. And so how did you go about solving it?
It's we've actually came with a simple solution but quite effective. I'll explain you
what we did with FMS. Once FMS is deployed, reimagine the same situation. Now FMS is
in life. Now the crime has happened in the scene and people have reported
call SOS and then they've reported the crime. Right. And then the police have come to
the live location. Now everything changes. The game changes now. People, the policemen
records the evidence in the FMS app and all the data will be uploaded in the FMS app.
As soon as the data will be uploaded in the FMS app, it'll be timestamped on to Kadano.
That is the next step and once all of the data is on Kadano, hashed on Kadano, then
the data will be going to the police station where they'll be registering a case ID and
they'll be posting not the case ID on top of the box but a QR code. Now this QR code can
only be scanned with the FMS app itself. No one else can scan the QR code. So now the
bad actor or the good actor, no one knows what case they're dealing with except for the
police who are dealing with. So if a police needs to get into the case details, they themselves
need to scan the QR code with the DID created which is on Kadano by the way. They'll be logged
in with the DID and then they'll be seeing the case details. So all their login details
or whatever steps everything will be stamped on Kadano. From the police station now, all
of it will be going to the forensic labs which I've mentioned. Now each and every forensic
lab will have a FNMS app and then they'll be scanning the QR code with the devices and then
they'll be doing testing the blood tests in one desk all of that and then they'll be giving
the data, they'll be putting the data back onto the FMS app. All of these steps will be
stamped on Kadano at each and every stage. The situation which I've explained right now,
the whole situation, the whole thing is called chain of custody. In polyster, they call
it the chain of custody. So what I've said before was FMS secures the chain of custody. This
is what we do by creating a QR code, secure QR code and stamping each and every data on Kadano
which is the mutable and temporal proof. That's amazing. And so I imagine this is already
providing a lot of value for the police officers there. Of course, of course it's providing great
value to police officers. Not just in one scenario, it's basically a win and win situation for both
Kadano and the police officers where they don't need to come back again and prove that the
case or the data has been tampered. Now all the data is on Kadano which is immutable. If the
hash is don't match, the data is tampered. If the hash is matched, the data is not tampered. It's as
simple as that. It is. So I'd like to zoom out for a second. So Uttar Pradesh alone has around
241 million people and over a million forensic cases a year. And FMS is already running there today.
Yes. And so you should close thinking this further with key FMS. Yes. You talk through that bit. What is
the? Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. Sure. Sure. So to talk about PFMS, we need to understand that how we got to
the stage of PFMS. It's not just a one day process of we've just created a solution in our mind,
created a technology and then put up a PFMS. No, it didn't happen that way. The success of you
were asking about the success and what it created. Right. The success of PFMS FMS, our previous project FMS
has created great value inside the policy and the government ecosystem that that also gave an
assurance to the governments that Cardano as a technology blockchain as a technology can actually
save lives. People can depend on Cardano as a technology to save and improve the lives of people.
So this is the major core behind how we've come to PFMS. The success has opened great
amounts of multiple doors within multiple ecosystems for us to pitch PFMS to the governments.
So PFMS is basically securing the entire chain of evidence. So I don't want you to confuse with
chain of custody and chain of evidence. Chain of custody is the thing or the process which happens
post the crime has occurred. And once their investigation is done, the whole investigation process
is called chain of custody. But now with PFMS we'll be securing the entire chain of evidence.
The entire chain of evidence has multiple different stages. For example, pre-crime data,
pre-crime data is CCTV footage body cams or number plate readers or multiple different data.
That is pre-crime. Until now pre-crime is just data. Once PFMS is deployed, pre-crime will be
approved. So it adds a lot of value. That is one stage. Next comes the FMS part where it's
chain of custody, the investigation part. Then comes the evidence storage facility, then comes
the prosecution and it goes to the court of law. So all these stages, each and every stage where
the evidence passes through will be secured by Cardano through PFMS. PFMS is police first management
systems battery. So that is an aim to do and the expansion of FMS.
That sounds awesome. Sounds to me like a lot of different transactions we need to go on chain.
Yeah, it's in millions. I didn't talk about the transactions as of yet. It's in millions.
That's amazing. And Rahul, should we have a short chat about why is it that you cannot just
change block chain to another block chain? What is the stickiness of this?
It's quite interesting question-fread. The stickiness is the major core behind how governments
work in use.
