In the coffee is on. I hope you have a nice cup of coffee or something that tastes
you to drink. I'm having some a chalate and gosh what kind is it? I can't remember it,
but it's a great flavor. I put it in about 12 ounces of sugar-free almond milk,
sometimes coconut milk. And I stir it in, put just a little bit. Don't hate me
for it or you can't feel like. I'll either put alulose, alulose or what is
a sucralose, not a spartane, but a splenda. I'll put splenda in it just a little
bit. Just a little bit. There are some health benefits to using alulose instead
of splenda. And if you stevia, by the way, a little side row that has nothing to do
with gas. Or the myth thereof is there's different types of stevia. The Coca-Cola
Company uses the more, I'm not stumped, well yeah. Coca-Cola is the proud sponsor
of Midday Mindset and they have taken a firm position that it is impossible to
gas out people because it's fake and submit. Thank you Coca-Cola. I'm kidding. I'm
kidding. Don't sue me. I'm just joking, joking, joking. But they do some good marketing,
but they they chose the more expensive kind of stevia. There's a stevia A and a stevia
B. And by the way, what you buy in a big bag of splenda or what you buy in a big bag of
stevia is mostly maltodextrin. Tomorrow we're going to have a subscriber space voting
on future spaces. I have people saying, hey, I love these gas-siding myth debates spaces.
You should do more of them. And then I have people that say, Paul, Paul is casting your
vote. Yeah, yeah. Kind of mark as your vote. I have other people that just send me vomit
emojis. I'm not sure how to interpret that. I think that the vomit emojis, here's what
I've decided, that the vomit emojis are related to eating pizza without pineapple. And I completely
agree. Yes. Unless it's unavoidable, you should never eat pizza, sans pineapple. It's a
little on fact that pineapple pizza raises IQ, which begs the question. I actually had a discussion
this morning. And I don't want to make a, I really don't want to make a bad situation worse,
but at the risk of doing that, I had an interesting discussion this morning from a patient who does
boo-coos of IQ testing. I will never do as much IQ testing as this guy. I mean, that's all,
that's, that's, you know, that's all he does. Really, really big expert at it. And we were discussing
is, is it, should we be, how do we put it? Should we be disappointed, disheartened, concerned
that from what we see in, you know, proper practice of behavioral health, that IQ scores are getting
worse, you know, the people are getting dumber and dumber and dumber and dumber and dumber.
You know, it's really quite concerning to me. Is there, and I don't know, I don't follow the
statistics or anything like that. But we made a space on that and block a hitch so it can't come
and muck it up. But, you know, the only person that's ever been accused of talking more than me
is hitch. I will say with some glee that he gets more flack about talking a lot more than I do.
I appreciate him taking the heat off of me. It used to just be me. You know, I was a guy that
people would say, you know, you talk too much. I would, my, my professors in college would tell me
to put my hand down. Well, excuse me, but I'm paying your salary, you know, I mean, this crap ain't
free. I'll raise my hand as much as I want. Thank you very much. But as jealousy as jealousy,
doctorate, people in jealous jealousies occurs, they wish they could talk as much as I
that's what it is. Yes, it's true. I wish that I had the gift of gab like that. You know,
Jane really do. That is, it's almost like your, your, your spirit channeling my mother-in-law,
God rest her soul. I remember telling me because, you know, I started dating her daughter. It makes me
sound like a, I don't know, a child of doctor or something, but I started dating, well, in a moment
yeah, but I started dating her daughter when she was 14. She was shortly to turn 15, you know. I was
only 36 at the time, you know, that's an average age gap in Arkansas. I'm joking, I'm joking. I was,
I was newly turned 17. She was on a, Stephen X would say the edge, not a 17, but she was on the edge
of 15. And I remember shortly after becoming her daughter's, you know, a pindage that they just
couldn't seem to get rid of. She said, you really had the gift of gab. And I thought, wait a minute,
is that a, is that a compliment or criticism? I don't know. And I did, I was so, I was terrified. I
didn't want to ask her. I'll tell you a quick story. It has nothing to do with this, but I was allowed
for the first time to come over to who would one day become my bride, who, by the way, add her
on our wedding day. I didn't know this till years later on our wedding day, my soon to be father-in-law
told my wife who was standing outside the door to walk down the aisle after mega expense and
planning, appropriation, all that stuff. He said to her, you know, it's still not too late to back out.
And she told me this, I thought, what a traitor for heaven's sakes, you know. I mean, what's
what's what's what's what you kiddin' me bet any rate. But we, I was finally allowed to come over
to her house. And some of you know this short, it was the middle of winter. I'm a poor kid that can't
afford auto repair. I'm just lucky to have an automobile. Sometimes we had to be loaned an old
junker automobile that keeps you not ahead of no key. It had no initially. You had to hotwire it.
You know, to start, you put these two wires together. You want to turn it off, you just, you disconnect
the wires, you know. And one of those was an old Dodge Dart, which would be worth a lot of money now.
Spray painted black. You lean up against it, turn it close black. But I drove over what is now
very valuable automobile that I wish I still had a 71 Chevrolet Chevrolet. But the alt, the, I'm sorry,
the thermostat was out, which is a thing that directs engine heat to cabin heat, you know, inside your
automobile. Translate, I was freezing. I'm not going to door. I'm not making this up. I'm not sure if
he did this on purpose. I think he was probably always cleaning his guns. But my future father,
all men bent the door with a very large caliber weapon and said this to me, they're not here.
I mean, what would you expect him to say next? You know, I'm sorry, they're not here. What are the
next words that you expect here? Oh, come on in and make yourself comfy by the fire. I'll make you a
cup hot chocolate. No, no, no, no, no, they're not here. You can wait in the car.
Waiting to, which I happily did, you know, I was just on cloud nine. My heart was warm and my toes
were warm and I was warm all over. But it really, really was cold, really, really in the middle of
winter. But he was not gasping me because that's fake. He would agree. And oh, on that point, just
because yes, people ask me questions in the DMs. And I don't mind sharing you. I mean, there have been
lots of patients who come in. That's one question. Yeah, lots of patients that come in and talk about
quote, you know, gaslighting. But I've actually other than being on social media in my real life,
because if there were, I tell you, I just say, I mean, people said that one of my best friends
accused me of being a narcissist one time. But he's full of crap anyway, you know, don't listen to that guy.
But I've never once other than social media. I mean, not even once in my whole long life of
28 and a half times, you know, many multiples. I've never, ever had anybody not even once say
the words to me, I think you are, I know you are, or are you gaslighting me? I mean, not even once.
You know, no patient, no neighbors, no friends, no family, no wives. I've only had one, by the way.
I'm not not Mormon and or FLDS. We can have space on that sometime, you know, FLDS.
My wife loves that stuff. She's addicted to the FLDS thing. But no, never once. In case you're wondering,
have you ever had someone accuse you this? No, I'm not honestly only on social media,
which I think is saying a thing or two or three. FLDS question mark. Yes.
Mormon's cultish offshoot. What's it saying for Sally? Do you know,
fundamentalist, modern day saints, so modern day saints are the typical, I was raised, I raised LDS.
So I do. Bless your, oh, were you really? Wow. You were raised to FLDS? No, no, no, no, I was raised LDS.
So I'm very, well, LDS, word Jeff. Let me guess. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, Sally. I'm going to
just make a prediction because I'm psychic. I mean, I'm not cause, you know, but I'll play like
him. I'm going to guess you're a big critic of FLDS. Absolutely. You know, I've had many Mormon
friends and they're all critics of FLDS. Yeah, it's a cultish offshoot of the religion, right? So
it's like they, there's certain things that they didn't agree with, like, you know, having multiple
wives underaged children living on a compound, you know, those type of things that it's not
normal, like it's not okay. Yeah. Yeah. And also something I didn't know, a, a, a, a,
Neural Psychology Collegium, I'm who was also raised LDS is one of the harshest critics I've run
into because of government, what, how would you say that government subsidies and the taking advantage
of government subsidies because there's all these tricks and everything. I mean, I shouldn't laugh.
I'm not making fun. I'm really not. You know, raise 30 kids and have the government pay for every single
one of them because you're not married to the six women that have the 30 kids, which means that
their salary doesn't have to reflect your salary. And you can get away, you know, with not on not
paying taxes, but having your entire existence subsidized on the back of, you know, taxpayers.
It's, it's, now I didn't say that. I'm just reporting what, you know, my, my friend said, which I
won't name her because I know people don't want to go and do evil things to her, you know, and she's
a sweet gal. But yeah, we can do a space on that sometime. What's real quick, just real quick.
Yeah. If you, when you do that space, I know someone who's a son of Warnjes, that is very good
with the FLDS church. So maybe I could try to get him to come in here. Oh my gosh. You know,
someone said, someone asked me one time, how could we keep your wife on a space? I said my wife
will never be caught dead on a space. But that might just do it. If she knew that, that might just
do it because she heard her friends, not so much her lately, but, but they're the world expert
committee on this, you know, the, the housewives of FLDS obsession, you know, they could do
their own show. Well, thanks for coming today guys. I appreciate you being here. And as I say,
we'll be here till two o'clock. You're welcome to come up and share your argument for why you think
gas lighting is a bunch of bunk. That's my position. And I'm going to get, I'm going to get a little
bit into then why do people believe it? Now, I think there are some very good reasons why people
believe it. It is true with the human brain that no one holds on to anything that isn't serving them
in some way. My problem is no matter what that is, I mean, it could be drugs or alcohol or, you know,
eating honey buns all day long or staying on social media all day long. You have the free will
to do all these things. But what, what are you sacrificing in order to hold on to that thing?
You know, if you're holding on to the gaslighting myth, what does that cost you? And I think it is a
risk-benefit cost analysis proposition. And I would argue further that it cost you more than it
can ever give you. But also...
