So I'm like, what the heck? And then I go look at the quirky open scene. I'm looking at the activity. And it's just hundreds. And I'm like, oh, oh my god, this is crazy. Dude, as I'm looking, I have this like the same thing happened to me on September 11th. Like my teacher was putting on a movie channel three because it was still VHS. The news was on and we watched the second plane go into the tower. Like that was this. So I'm like watching OpenC. And all of a sudden, like if you ever seen money hit like a money counter machine, it was just like brrrrr, dude, it ended up being another 135 quorkies. Wow. Right there. And I'm like, that's not good. So I like obviously now, I'm like, all right, now we gotta get out of bed. For sure. And so you're drowning and just starts pumping like, yeah, bro. I'm like, okay. We got to get out of bed. So I jump out of bed. I run to the to the laptop because I remembered that a few weeks ago, somebody got, I forget what happened, somebody got hacked or I think it was an impersonator, you know, the discord impersonator got a quirky from somebody or something happened. And it was on a Sunday and like there was nothing we could do. Open C was in a round and I'm like, man, like we got to come up with a way to prevent this. So I'm, I asked the dev like, Hey, is there a way we have a little dashboard that I have and it has like I have the ability to like air drop the QR C's. I have the ability to on quest stuff manually. And that was like, hey, can you just build me something where I can suspend and unsuspend quirkies. And he's like, yeah, I got you. So he puts it on there and I never had to use it. Well, my spidey senses kick in. I'm texting him the dev our dev is in Australia. So he like just went to sleep. I'm texting quit, but quits like, yeah, I for some reason he couldn't get the other 135. So I'm like, wait a minute, I know what I can do. So I literally run to my computer. I open up the open C transfer logs. I screenshot, it only let me screenshot 10 at a time. So I'm literally screenshotting 10 at a time. It was like 14 screenshots, making sure I get each one trying to move fast. I pop it into chat GBT because I'm like, if I do this manually, it might not be fast enough. Like this guy's going to start we think stuff soon. So I pop it in chat GBT chat GBT spits out this list like in like two seconds. I was so happy. You know, because sometimes, sometimes chat GBT will like think this is not the time to think brother, please don't think. And it spits out this list. So sorry, my cousin is, if you guys, you guys probably know by now my cousin is special needs and he's watching football and he's blowing up my phone. So you might hear that if you might hear that a few more times, but we love him. So it's a good reminder after calling a few minutes, but he loves football. So on some days, he's like blown up my phone all day every three seconds to tell me my team sucks pretty much. But um anyway, so yeah, launch the reshort. I pop it in chat GBT, get the list, cojo, I go to put luckily, uh, the way that he set it up, I could do up to 200 at a time. I was like, oh my god, thank god, because if it was one by one, we were cooked, but the batch was 200. I go to do it and there's an error and I'm like, no, no, this has to be gas. So I go over to the treasury. I send over like another hundred bucks. And I'm like, please work, please work. And it works. And it's like, it gives me this message in like two seconds. It's a did it so fast. And it was like 135 corkies have been suspended. And I'm like, dude, the world fell off my shoulder in that moment. I was like, oh my god. And then I immediately go to open sea and it had the little, you know, the little warning that they had been frozen. So at that point, I wasn't 100% so I'm like, I canceled a bunch of meetings. I had, um, like four calls, even our space would show. I had a call at nine, eight, nine, 10, 11. Actually, I was booked almost the whole day. I ended up doing the 12 o'clock call, but it was, it was madness. And I just sat there literally staring at the open sea activity log, refreshing it like every few seconds. And, um, and, and then open sea message didn't said like that they were freezing everything. And we got lucky because, you know, a few hours later, I thought it was all over. And then somebody pops in the chat and goes, yo, they're getting inks now. And I'm like, oh, no. You know, I knew like one guy got like 700 quirklings and quit, got like 400. Dude, they got all live-habes quirklings like 300, I think he got back something like that massive number dude, all of them. Bro, I would 711 has my quirkling too, but I'm not, I'm not complaining compared to some of the other people, but yeah, it's so crazy, bro. That's wild. Dude, they wait, wait, wait, you ready for this? With the, with the inks, I go to look at the inks. Dude, it's shneckys. Basically, it's shneckys entire wallet. All the one of ones, dude, they left the, no, bro, the only NFTs that were left in his wallet were the ones that were staking. It was like 8 OGs. They didn't get any of his quirklings. He had like 100. And all his inks, thank God, OpenC was on it because they froze all the remaining assets. So, yeah, I don't know, we walked away at this point with no damage. It's crazy. Like, you know, there was one quirkies somehow that slipped the cracks and was weathed, but we were able to get it back to the holder. So out of, I don't know, it had to be almost 1500 NFTs. We didn't actually lose one of them. Still pretty surreal. So why weren't they weathing them immediately with their just trying to go? Because they were still draining. So, right after I locked those OGs, about 10 minutes later, that same wallet started weathing and they weathed like a bunch of apes, a bunch of pudgies, a bunch of other stuff. So we got really lucky, dude, like, really we saved probably really the, at least the status of the project right now by like 10 minutes for real, because if those started getting weath, they would have been getting weath for point one, point four, like, there was not enough offers to eat up the 130, which means the florid just would have got destroyed. And there's like all these loans, most of the loans are held by four people, right? So the loans are sustained and are taken care of. And, you know, they've been, they've been really well managed. But that would have, that would have killed it. I mean, I think, I think it would have been catastrophic. Like, we would have been buying, we would have been sweeping quarkies back. I mean, what do you do with that? Here's the thing, right, that I was explaining like, what do you do? And I talked to some other founders that are in this, like, really tough spot, because the answer is, um, the end, the, once the NFT, let's say you have a bid, right, Kodjo? You have a bid. You don't know this hack took place. You had that bid up, you went to sleep, you wake up, and you get it, you get the NFT on a weith offer. If that NFT is stolen, is that really your, is that should you inherit that problem? The answer is, I think, a clear no, right? I mean, some people were like, dude, it's the bots who cares, but it's not, it's not that easy. Those bots are at the end of the day, they're, they're people, whether we like them or not, you know, they're liquidity providers and it's not fair to freeze their assets either, which is something. No, I never liked the, like, the, I mean, it's what they can do is freezing the asset and I obviously was hopeful in this instance and protected a lot of assets, but it never seemed like a really good solution to this problem, because then like you said, someone else just gets, they spent the money, they, two people lose money now, you know, only time that freezing works is if it's still in the hackers wallet. That's the only time, like right now, that hackers looking at 135 corkies that they can't sell, right? And because we have the, because, and I knew this, like, I'm not a blockchain ERC contract expert by any means, right? I have learned a lot since I took over the project, but I mean, we have developers and I'm, I actually like lean on quit for a lot of stuff as well.
